The Ultimate Latin Playlist For a Feel-Good Summer 2025: Listen
Summer has officially arrived, and to celebrate the three-month long season, this year running from June 20 to Sept. 22, Billboard has curated the ultimate Latin playlist. The nearly two-hour list has 35 songs that have been released in 2025 so far and will make for the perfect soundtrack to blast on a hot poolside day, breezy beach afternoon, or at a carne asada with family and friends. On the Billboard Latin Summer playlist, fans will enjoy bachata with songs like Natti Natasha's 'Desde Hoy' and Prince Royce's 'How Deep is Your Love'; merengue such as Fariana and Kiko El Crazy's 'Me Muevo'; Afrobeat as in Kapo and Myke Towers' 'ILY'; cumbia with Elena Rose, Camilo, and Los Ángeles Azules' 'Carteras Chinas'; Yailin La Más Viral's dembow in 'Todos Mienten'; and even the rhythmic reparto from Cuba with Bebeshito's 'Tacto que llegó el Reparto.' And, let's be frank, what's summertime without a good mix of reggaetón bangers? The list also includes Alemán and Netón Vega's saucy 'Te Quería Ver,' J Balvin's 'Rio,' and Karol G's 'Verano Rosa' in collaboration with her boo, Feid. Nick Cannon Forgets Two of His 12 Kids' Names While Trying to List Them: ‘I Usually Get in Trouble'
Trying to keep track of every one of Nick Cannon's 12 children is a difficult task for most — and apparently, it's not particularly easy for Cannon himself. During an appearance on The Really Good Podcast with host Bobbi Althoff, Cannon was asked to list out each of his 12 children's names. The actor and host told Althoff 'I usually get in trouble' when trying to name each of his kids, but proceeded to try his best. 'See this is where … How many [are left?]' In the spirit of keeping him honest, Cannon named Moroccan and Monroe, the twins he had with Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen and Rise Messiah with Brittany Bell; Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa; and the late Zen with Alyssa Scott. 'You know, Black men, we always be like, 'What's up king?' I really think I'm the king,' he said, before explaining to Althoff that kings of the past would have lots of children to 'enlarge their territory.' Jelly Roll & Brandon Lake's ‘Hard Fought Hallelujah' Collab Certified Platinum
CCM singer Brandon Lake recently surprised his 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' collaborator Jelly Roll with some stellar news about their hit collab. In a video he shared on Instagram on June 20, Lake surprised Jelly Roll with a plaque commemorating that 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' had been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), for sales of at least one million units. In the video, Jelly Roll says, 'We were just talking about this like six months ago,' and later adding, 'This might be my favorite plaque I've ever had.' Their collaborative version of 'Hard Fought Hallelujah' cracked the top 40 on Billboard's all-genre Hot 100, while also reaching the top 15 on the Hot Country Songs chart. 'I released [the solo version of] this song, and then I felt like, 'This is too special to not share this song with somebody,'' Lake recently told Billboard of bringing in Jelly Roll to record the song with him. 'Thinking about the lyrics, I was like, 'Man, I think Jelly Roll would resonate with the story of this song.' I've been so inspired by his story, the things he's overcome. I remember seeing him sing 'Believe' with Brooks & Dunn [at the 2024 CMA Awards], and I just bawled my eyes out. It gave me all the faith to reach out. The craziest part of that is he had already heard the song on TikTok and loved it. 'We hopped on the phone, and we didn't talk music for the first hour. We just instantly became like brothers and talked about life, parenting, touring, family. It was a real friendship off the bat. There's a reason why he is on top of the world right now, and it's not just because his songs are amazing — it's because he's amazing,' Lake added. Fans Choose KATSEYE's ‘Gabriela' as This Week's Favorite New Music
'Gabriela,' the new single from KATSEYE, tops this week's new music poll. Music fans voted in a poll published Friday (June 20) on Billboard, choosing the global girl group's fresh track as their favorite new music release of the past week. The new KATSEYE track brought in 43% of the vote. KATSEYE dropped 'Gabriela' as a pre-release from their upcoming Beautiful Chaos EP, due out on June 27 via HYBE x Geffen (pre-save here). The track has a Latin pop groove and incorporates both English- and Spanish-language lyrics — with a bridge sung entirely in Spanish. The single follows 'Gnarly,' which earned the group's six members their career-first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 in May — and got a remix with Ice Spice earlier this month. Released on June 19, the deliberately melodramatic, telenovela-inspired 'Gabriela' music video, featuring actress Jessica Alba and directed by Andrew Thomas Huang, has amassed 9.3 million views on YouTube as of press time on Sunday, June 22. Over the weekend, KATSEYE — Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia and Yoonchae — performed 'Gnarly' at the 2025 Kids' Choice Awards. The performance ended with a requisite sliming. Among the new music trailing behind 'Gabriela' on this week's poll are Public Enemy's 'March Madness,' with 22% of the vote; Cardi B's 'Outside,' with 16% of the vote; Benson Boone's 'American Heart,' with 5% of the vote, and Karol G's Tropicoqueta, with 2% of the vote.
