Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter will get nothing from his will, after she removed herself following their rift

Hulk Hogan's daughter won't inherit a dime from her late father's estate after their rift towards the end of his life. The WWE legend died at the age of 71 last week after a cardiac arrest. Brooke Hogan revealed on Tuesday that she 'had to step away to protect my heart' in the final two years of his life. And not only did she remove herself from his everyday life, she also removed herself from his will. The 37-year-old, who is married to former NHL player Steven Oleksy, feared being caught up in a bitter financial battle in the wake of her father's death, according to TMZ. Brooke reportedly didn't trust anyone in Hogan's inner circle and asked to be removed as a beneficiary of his estate in 2023 - the same year as her final conversation with the wrestling icon. The television personality's priority had always been to protect her famous father from those she felt were taking advantage of his fame and fortune. Brooke reportedly attempted to address the issue with her father but after years of it falling on deaf ears and disagreeing with him over the matter, she contacted his financial manager and made the decision to be excluded from the will. While she is said to be disheartened that Hogan didn't trust her to have his best interests at heart, she has never been motivated by his fortune. Hogan's estate is estimated to be worth $25million, but it has not been revealed who will inherit his estate, trademarks, intellectual property, and other assets. Brooke will reportedly still receive some money from a small life insurance trust Hogan took out, and she apparently intends to put the sum towards her children's college funds. She welcomed twins - a boy and a girl - with her husband in January. However, the late wrestler never met his grandchildren before his death, despite efforts by her husband to reconcile the estranged father and daughter. Hulk welcomed Brooke as well as son Nick, 35, with ex-wife Linda - whom he was married to from 1983 to 2009. He later tied the knot with Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 until their divorce in 2021. Two years later, the WWE legend said 'I do' to Sky Daily and the pair were married up until his death on Thursday. Brooke and her father last spoke nearly two years ago in September 2023 only weeks before he married his third wife Sky. On that call, Brooke expressed love and concern for her father - telling him that he shouldn't be working so hard due to his declining health. Despite her pleas for him to enjoy more of his life, those requests fell on deaf ears. The pair didn't speak again. Despite multiple attempts from her husband to fix their relationship, including when Brooke almost died in childbirth, Hulk 'responded coldly and never made an effort to meet Brooke's kids,' per TMZ. Back in March, Linda accused her former husband of being a 'complete liar' and 'sex addict'. She also claimed their family is 'in the worst mess' after Brooke cut both parents out of her life. Brooke later retaliated, hitting back at her mom by alleging that her dad was not the only reason behind the shocking family divide, claiming she was 'verbally and mentally abused' during her childhood. After Brooke's stunning response, Linda then took a dramatic U-turn by defending Hogan and branding her daughter a 'narcissist.' Brooke broke her silence on the family feud on Tuesday in the wake of her father's death, claiming that she and Hogan 'never fought' but rather she felt the need to step away to protect her own emotions. 'He was telling me these things, being so vulnerable with me and heard my pleas, then suddenly something shifted, and he made a choice to walk the path that clearly tore at his spirit,' she wrote in a statement shared to Instagram. 'I felt a disconnect. What followed were respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll on me.' 'During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart. My husband stayed open, quietly reaching out to my dad without me knowing, trying to find a safe way back in for me. After my father passed, I read those messages, some answered, some ignored... but all of them broke my heart.' Even amid their estrangement, Brooke and her husband Steven found a touching way toR honor the wrestling icon. The couple included a sweet nod to Hogan in the name of one of their twins, it was revealed last week. Their daughter's full name is Molly Gene Oleksy - the same middle name as the late wrestler's. 'I know in my heart I did everything I could,' Brooke concluded. 'He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.' Oleksy, who had stints with NHL teams, the Washington Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins, married Brooke in 2022. He also broke his silence on Tuesday, sharing a photo of the trio alongside a statement that read: 'My wife and I have not released any official statement about the death of my father-in-law. 'We are grieving and processing privately and ask for the respect to do so. If you see or hear something it did not come from us. There are many disturbing AI videos circulating that do not represent our family, feelings, or opinions. Thank you very much for the love, support, and understanding.'

‘Untrustworthy' people: Brooke Hogan's shock move years before Hulk's death revealed

Brooke Hogan is avoiding any potential issues surrounding Hulk Hogan's large estate. The daughter of the wrestling legend removed herself from Hogan's will in 2023 to avoid a financial battle following his death because she didn't trust the people around Hogan, New York Post reports, citing TMZ. Brooke's biggest concern at the time was trying to protect her dad from those she felt were attempting to take advantage of him; however, the two disagreed over the subject and she eventually reached out to Hogan's financial manager to have herself taken out of the will, according to the report. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, died at the age of 71 last week after a cardiac arrest in Clearwater, Florida. Brooke, 37, will still receive some money from a life insurance policy that she was a beneficiary on and that she will put toward her kids' college funds. The eldest of Hogan's two children opened up for the first time about her father's passing and her estrangement from him in an Instagram post on Tuesday. 'My dad's blood runs through my veins. His eyes shine through my children. And our blood has never broken, not even in his final moments,' Brooke wrote. 'We never had a 'big fight.' My father and I never 'fought.' It was a series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand. My father was confiding in me about issues weighing on his heart, both personal and business. I offered to be a life raft in whatever capacity he needed. I told him he had my support.' Brooke later detailed how she and her husband, Steven Olesky, moved to Florida in order to be closer to her father as he got older and she had been there with him for nearly 25 surgeries before he 'all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries.' Brooke was not in attendance for Hogan's September 2023 wedding to his third wife, Sky Daily, and the two had their last conversation two weeks before the wedding, TMZ reported. In a separate post, Brooke posted a video of a montage of photos of Hogan and herself set to Steve Nicks' song 'Crystal.' 'You were my everything, and I will always be your girl. I am PROUD to be your daughter — for all the love, light, and goodness you brought into this world. Thank you for choosing me in this lifetime, and for loving me so deeply,' she captioned the post in part. 'Our bond is eternal. That truth brings me comfort and hope, even in your absence.

Hulk Hogan's Major Controversies Before His Tragic Death

Hulk Hogan's Major Controversies Before His Tragic Death originally appeared on Parade. Professional wrestling icon Hulk Hogan passed away at age 71 following a reported cardiac arrest at his Clearwater, Florida home on Thursday, July 24. As fans mourn the loss of the WWE Hall of Famer, many are reflecting on both his legendary career achievements and controversial personal moments. The 12-time champion dominated professional wrestling for decades, becoming a household name through his performances and success in film and reality TV. However, Hogan's career was plagued by several high-profile scandals that generated significant media attention. Hulk Hogan's 2012 Lawsuit The most publicized controversy began when Gawker Media obtained a secretly recorded intimate video featuring Hogan and a friend's wife. After the website published nine seconds of the footage in 2012, Hogan initiated a $100 million civil lawsuit against the outlet. The legal battle ended in 2016 when a Florida jury ruled that Gawker had violated his privacy rights, awarding him $140 million in damages. "I was relieved that people actually finally believe me," Hogan told People magazine following the verdict. "So many people thought I was making a sex tape to sell as entertainment." Hulk Hogan's Offensive Comments A year before his courtroom victory, Hogan faced another major scandal when leaked audio transcripts revealed him using discriminatory language about his daughter Brooke Hogan's dating life in 2015. "Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation. It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologize for having done it," Hogan said to People at the time. "This is not who I am. I believe very strongly that every person in the world is important and should not be treated differently based on race, gender, orientation, religious beliefs or otherwise," he added. Hulk Hogan's Reality TV Show Scandal During the peak of his mainstream popularity, Hogan starred in the reality series Hogan Knows Best, which aired from 2005 to 2007. The show provided fans with an intimate look at his family life, but also exposed underlying tensions. Just one month after the series finale, Hogan's wife LindaHogan filed for divorce after 24 years of marriage, claiming his "infidelities" as the primary reason. The family drama resurfaced years later when Linda reportedly shared a video on Instagram Stories in March 2025, stating, "It's been 15, however long years since I left Hulk Hogan, and my family is the worst mess." Hogan and Linda's marriage lasted from 1983 until their divorce was finalized in July 2009. Following their split, Hogan married Jennifer McDaniel in 2010, though this union also ended in divorce in 2021. Most recently, Hogan married his third wife, Sky Daily, in September 2023, just months before his untimely death. How Did Hulk Hogan Die? TMZ first broke the news of Hogan's passing, reporting that emergency operators described the situation as a "cardiac arrest." We had a connection deeper than words, one that spanned lifetimes. I am so grateful that I knew the real version of him. Not just the one the world viewed through a carefully curated lens. We shared a quiet, sacred bond, one that could be seen and felt by anyone who witnessed us together." "When he left this earth, it felt like part of my spirit left with him. I felt it before the news even reached us." she continued. RELATED: Brooke also used the post as an opportunity to "clear a few things up" when it came to complicated relationship she had with her father during his final years. After Brooke and her husband, Steve Oleksy, moved to Florida to be closer to Hulk, Brooke said "all of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries." "Everything started getting covered in a thick veil," Brooke wrote. "It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn't get through." In the last two years, Brooke explained, she had to "step away to protect my heart." "All I ever wanted from my father was love, honesty and a deep connection," Brooke explained. "And for a few special years, I had that — with memories that will last a lifetime. My world is forever changed. But I'm deeply blessed with a loving husband and two beautiful children who remind me every day of life's greatest gifts." "I'm deeply grateful for the love, tributes, and memorials from his fans and friends. His life was one worth celebrating — and always will be." she concluded. She got married, she didn't tell us." Brooke married Oleksy in 2022 and the couple welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January. Brooke shared her side of the story in a lengthy Instagram post in March. "No contact with my mom has nothing to do with my dad, and no contact with my father has nothing to do with my mother," Brooke wrote at the time. "This decision was made based purely on how they have each dealt with me my entire life… I've repeatedly held my hand out to help them, only to have them pull me into the darkness with them. I've set boundaries that were not respected, and at this point, I can truly do no more." In a stunning move that sheds new light on the private world of a wrestling dynasty, reportedly asked to be completely removed from her father 's will in 2023, well over a year before his tragic death last week. The decision, according to TMZ, stemmed from a deep-seated distrust of the people surrounding the iconic WWE superstar. Hulk Hogan, born Terry Bollea, died at age 71 after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida, leaving behind a legion of heartbroken fans and a significant financial estate. But his 37-year-old daughter, Brooke, had already made her choice: she wanted no part of it. According to a bombshell report, the television personality and singer took the drastic step because she feared a messy, drawn-out battle over his fortune. Sources close to the family claim Brooke didn't trust anyone in her father's inner circle and wanted to avoid becoming entangled in any financial disputes after his death. For years, Brooke's primary concern was allegedly the welfare of her famous father. Insiders said her "priority was always protecting her father from people she believed were taking advantage of him." This concern reportedly led to years of disagreements between father and daughter, as she tried to warn him about the opportunists she believed were in his orbit. Brooke ultimately made a decisive call: after years of friction over the issue, she reportedly contacted Hulk's financial manager and formally requested her exclusion from his will, a move that would sever her claim to any inheritance. Brooke, who rose to fame alongside her family on the reality show Hogan Knows Best, has not yet spoken publicly about the arrangement. The revelation, however, adds a complex and poignant layer to the legacy of the immortal Hulk Hogan. Parade has reached out to Brooke Hogan for comment.
