Tia Mowry reacts to backlash after calling herself "single mom"
Actress Tia Mowry, who shares kids Cree, 14, and Cairo, 7, with ex-husband Cory Hardrict, responded to the backlash she's received for referring to herself as a "single mom" Actress Tia Mowry, who shares kids Cree, 14, and Cairo, 7, with ex-husband Cory Hardrict, responded to the backlash she's received for referring to herself as a "single mom," according to E! News. She and her ex-husband, Cory Hardict, finalised their divorce in 2023. They continue to co-parent their two kids, 14-year-old Cree and 7-year-old Cairo. The Seventeen Again star reacted to the backlash she's received for calling herself a "single mom." "Family can look different than what we imagined and still be full of love, stability, and joy," Tia wrote in her Instagram post. "This is my truth, and I want to share it. Being a 'single mom' doesn't always mean a mom doing it all alone without the father present in their kids' lives at all. I recognise that archetype is extremely difficult, and I truly empathise." However, the 47-year-old wanted to shed focus on the "overlooked" aspect of her life that she is still getting used to. After all, she and the Brotherly Love actor were married for 14 years before announcing their separation in 2022, according to E! News. The 47-year-old wanted to shine a light on the "overlooked" part of her life that she's still growing accustomed to. After all, she and Cory Hardict were married for 14 years before she announced their split in 2022. "For me, in my household, I am SINGLE," she continued. "I don't have a partner, so I'm holding it down for everyone at home. I'm the only parent present day-to-day. I remember those first nights after my world shifted." In fact, Tia noted that she "felt guilt" and "shame" about how the divorce would affect Cree and Cairo. But despite her conflicting emotions, she knew that she and Cory would always prioritise their feelings, according to E! News. "It's not even about being a 'single mom.' It's about recognising we need to normalise different family dynamics," the actor explained. "Just because parents aren't together doesn't mean the family is 'broken.' It just looks different. Parents have to set aside their emotions and feelings for each other. They have to be there for their kids. No matter what." Tia's post comes seven months after she detailed the highs and lows of co-parenting her two kids during the holidays. "I'll admit, as a single mom, I sometimes feel the weight because our family doesn't look like others," she wrote on Instagram in December alongside a sweet photo of her and her little ones posed near their Christmas tree . "But you know what? That's okay. Different doesn't mean less than. The most important thing is keeping the traditions alive for my children--because no matter how it looks, we are still family," according to E! News.

Former child star Matthew Lawrence spent the last decade 'acting out of fear'
Matthew Lawrence faced a decade-long fear by competing on "The Masked Singer." During an interview with Fox News Digital, Lawrence explained that he has spent the last 10 years avoiding any roles that required him to sing in front of a large crowd. "I have a bit of stage fright when it comes to singing in front of large audiences, believe it or not. And acting is a whole different thing for me," he explained. Lawrence shared a story of a "crazy" Broadway audition in the past where he didn't say anything in front of a packed crowd and had to run off-stage. "I spent, you know, the last decade or so saying no to anything singing, and I was really acting out of fear," Lawrence said. "I spent, you know, the last decade or so saying no to anything singing, and I was really acting out of fear." Then, the "Boy Meets World" star got an opportunity to be a part of "The Masked Singer," which he initially shot down. "And then people around me were like, 'What are you doing?' You got this podcast, and you talk about no fear, like, take your own advice. So you know what I did, and I'm so glad that I did," Lawrence said. WATCH: Matthew Lawrence shares his 'Masked Singer' experience There were moments on the show that Lawrence was shaking and "sweating bullets," but he was able to finally put the nerves aside and enjoy the moment. "There was a moment where the fear went away, and I was just singing for the first time with an audience. Dude, it's like lightning in a bottle. It's so cool, I loved that experience, it was great," Lawrence said. On Wednesday night, Lawrence was unveiled as Paparazzo, the walking camera, on FOX's "The Masked Singer." Lawrence told Fox News Digital that he "never" would have gone on the show if he wasn't masked, and he loved his character. "The costume, I mean, I had huge duck rubber feet. So, choreography was pretty much out the window. "And then I had this giant soap box of a head that was attached to my torso. So any movement during the whole thing and it's, it's unstable. I mean, I could have gone over, man. I just am so lucky I got through it. I feel blessed to be a part of it, and it was a great experience at the end of the day," Lawrence said. Aside from singing in costume, Lawrence also hosts the "Brotherly Love" podcast with his two brothers – Joey and Andrew Lawrence. WATCH: Matthew Lawrence talks working with brothers Joey and Andrew Lawrence The most challenging thing for Matthew is scheduling time with his brothers once a week to record their show. "It's like herding cats," he joked. "And the flip side to that is we do now get around a table at least every week, which is super cool. We always have a blast. It's been vital to kind of getting our band back together, so to speak, after COVID," Lawrence said. All the Lawrence brothers had careers in television. The three of them starred in "Brotherly Love," which was on air from 1995 to 1996.

Who was behind the mask? Latest ‘Masked Singer' reveal uncovers star linked to TLC
The latest episode of The Masked Singer Season 13 aired on Wednesday and revealed the identity behind the costume of Paparazzo. Actor Matthew Lawrence was unmasked after performing TLC's hit song 'Unpretty,' in a moment that tied in with a personal connection. His performance, along with a clue referencing a reptile zoo and a famous family, led panellist Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg to correctly guess his identity. Other guesses from the panel included Frankie Muniz, Jason Ritter and Ben Savage. Lawrence, known for his roles in Boy Meets World and Brotherly Love, is in a relationship with Rozonda 'Chilli' Thomas of TLC, a connection teased ahead of the unmasking. In his pre-recorded segment, he stated, 'Man, if you had told me that this little guy would still be standing here, I'd say you're crazy. Because I've never sang before.' He added, 'The next song is the biggest hint to my identity yet. So listen closely.' This season has already featured several celebrity reveals including Erika Jayne, Method Man, Candace Cameron Bure, James Van Der Beek, and Oscar de la Hoya. The 'Lucky 6' episode gathered finalists from all three groups — A, B, and C — with characters like Coral, Pearl, Boogie Woogie, Nessy, and Mad Scientist Monster still in play. Panel regulars Nick Cannon, Rita Ora, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Robin Thicke returned, with Ora continuing to fill in for Nicole Scherzinger. Joey, Matthew, And Andy Lawrence Apparently Haven't Gone By Their Real Name For Decades, And I'm Having A Mini-Meltdown
They call him Joey. They call him Matthew. They call him Andrew. They're the Lawrence brothers, but that's not their name! During the '90s Con panel on March 28, the "Lawrence" brothers took the stage and revealed to People how they came upon the popular moniker and why they wish they could go back to their real name. All this time, the three siblings, who portrayed the fictional Roman brothers in the '90s sitcom Brotherly Love, also went by the fictional last name Lawrence. In a way, it's all the eldest Lawrence brother, Joey's fault. Joey's been acting since the early '80s with guest roles on Diff'rent Strokes, Silver Spoons, and a starring role on the 1983 sitcom Gimme a Break! His career continued into the '90s when he co-starred in the hit TV series Blossom, playing Joey Russo before joining Brotherly Love. Likewise, his little brothers followed him into show business, with Matt being featured in Gimme A Break! in '80s, and starring in Mrs. Doubtfire and Boy Meets World in the '90s. Andy, the youngest of the trio, would appear in Blossom a couple of times before eventually going on to voice T.J. Detweiler in Disney's Recess and star in a few made-for-TV movies. But, for everyone who remembers Joey and the Lawrence brothers's four decadeslong careers, we were living a lie. Lawrence is not their last name. "It was my middle name," Joey said at '90s Con. "So I was named after our dad and our grandfather on our dad's side." Joey's full legal name is Joesph Lawrence Mignogna. When he began acting in the '80s, he was told, "No one can pronounce Mignogna. That's not a name people will say." They used his middle name as his last name, and his brothers followed suit when they joined the business. Now, they wouldn't mind going by their actual last name. "Today, things like that are celebrated," Joey said of Mignogna's pronunciation. "In the '80s, it was like, 'We're going to need to water this down. There are silent Gs.'" Matthew noted that having the "Lawrence" stage name had benefits. "There was an insulation factor," he said. "Some people might check in old school ways, but it would be very, very hard to find us. That was a great thing." Matthew did suggest there were a few downsides to having two names. "Now I'm just stuck with two different names, and I can't travel internationally," he said. "Even for a while there the government only recognized me as Matt Lawrence because I paid taxes from the time I was a toddler to 18 as Matt Lawrence." "But really my name is Matthew William Mignogna," Matt explained. "So when I grew up and used my real name on my passport, there was absolutely no correlation. I didn't exist." And for Andy, his real name is Andrew James Mignogna. The Mignogna* brothers agreed they wish they could just go by their birth names now. "It would have made it easier," Andrew said. "It's really a pain in the butt, honestly, like having two names. You have to prove you're both people." The brothers are still going strong, working on projects together like 2021's Mistletoe Mixup, 2023's Frankie Meets Jack, 2024 Christmas rom-com Marry Christmas, and the podcast they launched in 2023, Brotherly Love. So, whether it's the Roman, Russo, Mignogna, or the Lawrence brothers — we're guaranteed to see a lot more from these guys, and I'm seated.
