Como pick up talks with Cristante's entourage
Bryan Cristante is once again being linked with Como. After being linked with Cesc Fabregas' side near the end of last season, the Roma midfielder is now said to be among the players who could leave the capital this summer. Advertisement According to Corriere dello Sport, Como have renewed contact with Cristante's entourage following their inquiries from a few months ago. The newspaper claims that Roma would be willing to part ways with Cristante in case of a convincing offer. Inter and Fiorentina had also made their interest felt but Como appear to be in pole position to land the ex-Atalanta man this summer.

Bryan Cristante could leave Roma this coming summer. According to Francesco Guerrieri of Como have launched talks after making initial contact with the entourage of Bryan Cristante. Como's management, coming off a good season in Serie A, are working to build a competitive squad, capable of achieving increasingly ambitious goals and satisfy Cesc Fabregas' demands. Among the profiles identified is Cristante, considered a significant reinforcement to guarantee experience, quality and solidity to the midfield.

Atalanta secures Champions League spot; Venezia boosts Serie A survival with win
Atalanta beat Roma 2-1 and secured a third-place finish in Serie A on Monday and a place in next year's Champions League. The victory moved the Bergamo club seven points clear of Juventus and Lazio with only two rounds remaining. The top four qualify automatically for next season's Champions League. Nigeria international Ademola Lookman put Atalanta ahead in the ninth minute with his 15th league goal. Former Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante leveled with a header before halftime. The clincher came from Ibrahim Sulemana. All was not lost for Roma. The capital club was sixth, one point behind Juventus and Lazio. Venezia beat Fiorentina 2-1 and took a giant step towards securing its Serie A status for another year. It rose out of the relegation zone and into fourth-from-last place. The last three teams go down and with two matches left to play Venezia holds its destiny in its own hands. It is a point above Lecce and Empoli, and its two final games are at Cagliari and at home to Juventus. Fali Cande on the hour mark and Gaetano Oristanio eight minutes later put Venezia in the driving seat at Stadio Pierluigi Penzo. Rolando Mandragora pulled a goal back for the visitor with 13 minutes remaining. The result was a massive blow to Fiorentina's hopes of securing European football next season. It remained ninth, three places and four points outside the European spots.

Como open talks with Bryan Cristante
Como's interest in Bryan Cristante has been confirmed. Italian journalist Daniele Longo of reports that Como are indeed in talks with Bryan Cristante ahead of the summer. The Roma midfielder could leave the Italian capital after bein close to an exit from the club in January. According to Longo, contacts between Como and Cristante's agent are constant in the lead-up to the end of the season. The player could be Como's first signing of the summer.

Atalanta beat Roma 2-1 to secure Champions League spot

(AP pic) ROME : Atalanta qualified for the Champions League on Monday by beating Roma 2-1 and mathematically securing a place in Serie A's top four. Ibrahim Sulemana's strike in the 76th minute moved Atalanta, in third, seven points ahead of fifth-placed Lazio with two matches remaining in the season. Gian Piero Gasperini's team had taken an early lead through Ademola Lookman only for Atalanta old boy Bryan Cristante to head Roma level in the 32nd minute. But Sulemana ended Roma's long unbeaten run at 19 matches and left Claudio Ranieri's side one point behind Lazio and Juventus, who sit fourth. Roma can still snatch a spot in Europe's top club competition but host in-form AC Milan next weekend while Juve welcome Udinese.
