OnePlus Buds 4 launched, here is everything you need to know about them
OnePlus has officially unveiled its latest wireless earbuds — the Buds 4 — in China. These new earbuds bring several improvements over the previous generation, including improved noise cancellation, better audio performance, and some smart AI-powered features. The highlight is the 55 dB hybrid active noise cancellation, which now covers a wider frequency range of up to 5.5 kHz. This means the earbuds are designed to block out more environmental noise, whether you're on a crowded street or working from a busy cafe. The design is also sleeker, and they come in two elegant colours: Pine Green and Space Grey, with a matte metallic finish that adds a premium touch. OnePlus is positioning the Buds 4 as an all-around upgrade, focusing on both sound and smart features, while keeping the price relatively OnePlus Buds 4 are available in two colours: green and black. The price is set at CNY 449 in China (roughly Rs 5,300). Students can buy them for a discounted price of CNY 419 (Rs 4,950). The earbuds will go on sale from May 27 in China. There's no official word yet on a global launch, but OnePlus might release the Buds 4 in other markets — including India — alongside the upcoming OnePlus OnePlus Buds 4 come with a triple-microphone setup, supported by AI-based call noise reduction. This tech aims to make your voice clearer during calls, even if you're in a noisy place. The audio system has also been upgraded — it still uses a coaxial dual-driver setup like the last-gen Buds 3, but now OnePlus has added dual DACs. This should help with richer bass, more detailed treble, and overall better clarity in sound Another new feature is what OnePlus calls the Golden Sound profile. This customises the audio output based on how the earbuds fit in your ears, so you get a more personalised listening experience. On top of that, there are two AI-powered translation tools. One is for real-time voice translation, ideal for travel or language learning, and the other is a face-to-face translator that works via a paired the meantime, the OnePlus Buds 3 continues to be a solid option in India. Priced at Rs 5,499, these earbuds punch above their weight with dual dynamic drivers, Hi-Res Audio support, and a comfortable fit that works well for long listening sessions. They also come with decent noise cancellation and great battery life, lasting up to 44 hours with the case. If you're looking for a reliable pair of earbuds right now, the Buds 3 still hold their ground — but it might be worth waiting just a little longer if you're curious about what the Buds 4 bring to the table.

OnePlus 13R gets a big discount in OnePlus Summer Sale, and you get Buds 3 totally free
This is not a deal for everyone. But it is surely worth paying attention to if you are thinking of buying a phone for around Rs 40,000, and more so if you are hoping to buy a phone from OnePlus. The OnePlus 13R, a phone that we rated quite highly in our review, is getting some discounts in the OnePlus Summer Sale 2025, which is now live across platforms such as Amazon India and the OnePlus online store. So, what is this juicy deal? The phone is currently available at an effective discount of Rs 7,599. Now, before you take out your wallet, we do want to point out to you the fine print in this deal. Let's get into it. OnePlus Summer Sale: OnePlus 13R deal For a limited period, the OnePlus 13R is selling with a bank discount of up to Rs 3,000. This is a flat discount that ICICI Bank users can avail the offer. It is available for both EMI and non-EMI purchases made using a credit card. Essentially, with the right bank card, buyers can get the OnePlus 13R at a reduced price of Rs 39,999 starting. Now, the discount is not, in our opinion, the best part of the OnePlus 13R offer. The best part is what OnePlus is bundling for free with it. Everyone who buys the OnePlus 13R is also going to get free OnePlus Buds 3. The Buds 3 are priced at Rs 4,599. OnePlus notes that this is first come first served, in other words, you'd better hurry if you really want to avail this offer. Add Rs 4,599 to the Rs 3,000 bank discount and you get savings of Rs 7,599. OnePlus 13R: Why it deserves your attention So, is the deal worth it? It is worth it, particularly when you factor in the free Buds 3, which are kind of excellent as we found in our review. You can think of the OnePlus 13R as an inexpensive OnePlus 13. It doesn't mean that the 13 is expensive, far from it, but the 13R is so affordable and so much like it in spirit – both are part of the OnePlus 13 series after all – the sales pitch writes for itself. There are a lot of things that work in its favour, even when you review the phone at its launch price. The design is super-premium, boasting high-quality build materials, that is glass and metal. OnePlus also went ahead and made it IP65-rated, a step up from the IP64 of the 12R. The screen uses almost the same technology as the OnePlus 13's which is 120Hz LTPO AMOLED capable of outputting 4500 nits in HDR (up to Dolby Vision is supported). The panel is fairly large at 6.78 inches and has dense 1.5K resolution. The flat sides and corners come in handy for long-term use, whether you're consuming multimedia or playing a demanding game. Demanding games are handled brilliantly by this phone thanks to the fast Qualcomm chip inside it. This is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is second only to the OnePlus 13's 8 Elite when it comes to pure performance. RAM and storage are top-tier – LPDDR4X and UFS 4.0, unlike some other brands that tend to skimp on this aspect. OnePlus says you can't get a setup this powerful in the sub-40K segment. There is merit in this statement. More importantly, OnePlus uses good software, which is as important as the hardware. The 13R runs the latest OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 and is guaranteed to get four years of major OS updates and up to six years of security updates. It feels fast and fluid regardless of how you push it, and that is because OnePlus took the time and effort to tune it well. And, joining the industry's current hot trend, it has put lots of AI (artificial intelligence) in it for extra convenience for those who might need it. The AI is everywhere. And some of the features are like totally cool. One of these is intelligent search, which goes deeper and is more contextual than the regular search we get. For example, if you search for weekend plans, the Intelligent Search will not just look through your apps but also your notes and bring up the relevant results. Then there are AI features like Circle To Search and PassScan, which too are totally useful. AI is also there in the camera app, which makes photography better on the OnePlus 13R. The features that we love the most are AI Detail Boost and AI Unblur. The Detail Boost makes the photos sharper when you crop them because it uses AI to compensate for the loss of pixels. The Unblur, meanwhile, fixes issues with photos that have minor hand-shake or are, for some reason, slightly fuzzy. Talking of photography, the OnePlus 13R has three sensors on the back, including a dedicated 50-megapixel 2x telephoto. The main camera is also a 50-megapixel. An 8-megapixel ultra-wide completes the package. As you can tell from the specs, this is a very versatile setup, one that opens a lot of possibilities. The cameras mostly live up to the name as well. In other words, we do feel that the OnePlus 13R in the latest sale is an option people should consider if they want a wholesome phone around Rs 40,000. At its original price of around Rs 43,000, the OnePlus 13R was a fantastic option. At its discounted price, it is an even better deal. If you are eyeing this phone, it is safe to say that the OnePlus Summer Sale might be the best time to get it.
