‘Players are not acting in the right manner' – David Beckham slams Man Utd stars' behaviour after fans clashes on tour

DAVID BECKHAM has launched a stinging attack on Manchester United's flops for their off-field conduct in Malaysia. The Red Devils legend slammed recent behaviour from United 's stars as "not okay". 3 Beckham won the Premier League title six times during his glittering career at Old Trafford. But Golden Balls has been left far from impressed by the current crop, accusing them of lacking "manners". United are currently in Asia on a disastrous post-season tour, taking in Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. Players have been snapped in altercations with supporters, as well as giving the middle finger. It comes after a dismal campaign, with United winning no silverware and finishing 15th in the Prem. Beckham told CBS Sports ahead of the Champions League final: "It's tough times [at United]. "I don't like seeing some of things that are going on at the club. "On the pitch is what counts but in all honesty I'm seeing a lot of things that are not okay in my eyes as a fan and as a lover of Man United. "You have to represent the badge. That's what it is about. "I've seen a lot of things where players are not acting in the right manner." United embarked on a 4,150-mile round trip to Malaysia just hours after the Prem season ended on May 25. Alejandro Garnacho was involved in a fan altercation after looking bored and disinterested at meet and greets. The Argentine, along with Amad Diallo, were also spotted giving the middle finger to some supporters. Beckham continued: "We were a part of a team that was so well mannered. "We understood what it meant to play for Manchester United. We understood what the badge meant. "Wherever we travelled, whether it was in Europe or in Asia, we respected the fans. "We respected the fact that they were turning up, paying money and wanting you to sign and take pictures. You respect that."

The awkward moment Muslim UFC legend Khabib Nurmagomedov refuses to shake Champions League final TV host Kate Scott's hand after greeting all of her male colleagues

Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov refused to shake Kate Scott's hand during a Champions League TV segment on account of his faith. The football world converged in Germany on Saturday night as the Allianz Arena hosted the 2025 Champions League final between PSG and Inter Milan. CBS Sports covered the action with their regular punditry trio of Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards and presenter Scott. After Les Parisiens' crushing 5-0 victory, the group were joined at pitch side by popular livestreamer IShowSpeed and Khabib. As the undefeated former fighter made his way over to his group he embraced each member individually before declining a handshake from Scott as her hand remained awkwardly outstretched. Khabib then appeared to clarify his refusal to the presenter - previously known as Kate Abdo prior to her marriage to boxing trainer Malik Scott last year - who subsequently apologised on air. In Islam it is forbidden for a believer to touch a member of the opposite sex that they are not related to. The incident comes after a fellow UFC fighter and female team-mate of Khabib's revealed in 2020 that he would not train directly with her. 'It's a little bit weird because of their religion... they won't train with women,' Cynthia Calvillo told theScore. '(Khabib) is still showing technique and stuff like that. So I still get to watch it. But it doesn't bother me … because they're not really being directly rude to me.' Khabib's handshake refusal led to a mixed reaction on social media, with some fans insisting that he had not meant to offend Scott. 'Khabib respectfully declining Kate Abdo's handshake #respect,' wrote one X user. 'Beautiful! Very respectful from Khabib. I love to see this,' added another fan. 'I hope that she understood that it's a mark of respect in our religion and not a marginalization,' one fan stated. However, others were less impressed and suggested Khabib had not shown the same respect to Scott as he did to her male colleagues. 'That didn't seem respectful. Forget about physical handshake, he even ignored her and didn't even greet and acknowledge her until she put her hands out,' one fan wrote. Despite the initial awkwardness over the handshake, Khabib quickly settled into speaking about his beloved PSG after their dominant victory. It was the French side's first European Cup triumph, and Khabib and fellow UFC star Islam Makhachev were there to witness it in person.

Kate Abdo stuns Thierry Henry and Micah Richards with shock exit live on air during CBS Sports' Champions League final coverage - before being replaced by new presenter

The was a shock substitution ahead of Saturday's UEFA Champions League final... and it came in the CBS Sports studio. Kate Scott, the ever-slick host of the US broadcaster's Champions League coverage, briefly left Thierry Henry, Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher unattended as she exited the set live on air… only to be replaced by a surprise new face. Midway through the build-up to Paris Saint-Germain vs Inter Milan in Munich, Scott — who is widely known by fans as Kate Abdo, having only changed her name last year after marrying former boxer Malik Scott — announced her sudden departure. She told her panelists: 'I would love to stay and chat guys, but I have other friends waiting for me tonight…' Her comments were met with groans from the panel, while Henry did his best to act shocked. But they soon perked up when they saw her replacement as presenter: Anita Nneka Jones. ➡️ @kate_scott ⬅️ @AnitaNnekaJones Super sub Anita joins the #UCLToday studio for the build up to kick off 🤩 — CBS Sports Golazo ⚽️ (@CBSSportsGolazo) May 31, 2025 CBS comically cut to Peter Schmeichel acting as the fourth official to confirm the substitution 'Look who's coming!' Scott grinned, pointing as Jones approached. Carragher let out a cheer and bellowed: 'Anita!' while Richards, asked if this was an official substitution. Cue Peter Schmeichel, stepping up with a fourth official's board in hand to complete the comedy handover. 'Finally, some real quality in the studio,' Richards joked as Jones settled into her new seat. CBS's Champions League coverage is known for its relaxed, banter-filled atmosphere – and Saturday's antics were no exception. Scott didn't disappear for long, though. After a commercial break, she reappeared on a different feed as part of Beckham & Friends Live, CBS's alternate stream featuring celebrity guests and sideline commentary. Joining Scott and David Beckham in the VIP section was none other than Tom Cruise. Previous episodes of Beckham's Champions League watchalongs had included Guy Ritchie, Stanley Tucci, and James Corden.

Kate Abdo ‘subbed off' CBS Sports Champions League final coverage as new presenter leaves Micah Richards ecstatic

KATE ABDO was substituted off during CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League final. The popular presenter, 43, was replaced by colleague Anita Nneka Jones during the build-up to the match. 1 Abdo was joined by regulars Thierry Henry, Micah Richards and Jamie Carragher. Leaving her crew behind, the Mancunian said: "I would love to stay and chat guys but I have other friends waiting for me tonight..." As Henry, Richards and Carragher groaned, Abdo pointed at Jones and added: "Look who's coming!" Carra shouted "Anita!" before screaming as footage showed pals David Beckham and Tom Cruise hanging out the Allianz Arena. Abdo then waved as she walked off set, adding: "Bye, bye, bye." Richards asked "Is it a substitution then?" - with Abdo pausing. The former Manchester City star guffawed as Peter Schmeichel held the fourth official's board to announce the substitution.
