Cristiano Ronaldo surprises fans with museum visit in Hong Kong's Tsim Sha Tsui
Cristiano Ronaldo has made a surprise appearance at a museum in Tsim Sha Tsui dedicated to honouring his career during his visit to Hong Kong for the Saudi Super Cup, with fans waiting for hours outside the venue to catch the football legend. A Post reporter saw Ronaldo arriving at the CR7 Life Museum in K11 shopping centre at 8.30pm on Sunday, with fans crowding the entrance and cheering as they spotted him touring the venue. The star player briefly stepped out and appeared ready to sign jerseys handed to him, but shook his head and retreated after some fans pushed at the barricade. He left about half an hour later. The museum was launched last month to celebrate the football superstar's career. Dozens of fans arrived as early as 1pm, as rumours of his appearance swirled online. They included a Jiangxi visitor, who only identified himself as Gan. He said he had come to Hong Kong for the Saudi Cup and would stay until the finals on Saturday. 'If we get to see him, that would be even better, but if not, there's nothing we can do. They never said for sure that he would come ... unlike Messi the last time, when everyone said he was going to play but he didn't in the end,' he said.

My sporting life: Cristiano Ronaldo honoured in new Hong Kong museum
Asia's first Cristiano Ronaldo museum has officially opened its doors in Hong Kong. The CR7 Life Museum welcomed the public on Monday in Tsim Sha Tsui, where visitors can learn a little more about the Portugal international footballer's remarkable career, from his origins on the island of Madeira to his current chapter at Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. In April, the player announced the project on his social networks to his millions of followers. "Relive the moments that marked my career - the goals, the clubs, the trophies, the people, the passion and the fans," he wrote on Instagram. A post shared by Cristiano Ronaldo (@cristiano) The museum has state-of-the-art interactive exhibits illustrating the player's history and displays of the five Ballon d'Or awards given to Cristiano Ronaldo. Football fever grips Hong Kong as Cristiano Ronaldo museum officially opens
Dozens waited in line for hours before the opening of the Hong Kong CR7 Life Museum, an exhibition celebrating football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo's life, featuring prized items such as one of his five Ballon d'Or awards. Organisers announced on Monday that Ronaldo would be visiting Hong Kong 'very soon' for the newly opened museum, but they remained tight-lipped about a specific date for his arrival. On the exhibit's opening day, the Post observed about 50 people lining up at the K11 Musea sixth floor venue at 11.30am, 90 minutes before doors opened at 1pm. Among the crowd was Johan Bihis, a tourist from the Philippines, who shared that she had specifically travelled to Hong Kong for the museum. She began queuing at 9.30am, unaware that the venue would not open to the public until 1pm on its first day, rather than the usual 10am opening time for subsequent days. 'I booked a flight as soon as I saw on social media the museum was coming to Hong Kong,' said Bihis, who described herself as a level 'nine' fan of Ronaldo's 'on a scale of one to 10'. 'I think this is going to get me closer to him, right? So I don't need to fly all the way to Portugal to see the museum.

Cristiano Ronaldo will visit Hong Kong for the opening of his CR7 Life Museum
Hong Kong's football fans were all in a tizzy when the news broke earlier this year that a Cristiano Ronaldo museum is opening in Hong Kong. It has now been confirmed that the CR7 Life Museum will officially open on July 7. Housed within the sixth floor of K11 Musea, this museum will span over 12,000 sq ft, featuring immersive exhibits, authentic memorabilia, and interactive storytelling that highlight Ronaldo's discipline, resilience, and excellence over the course of his three-decade career. If you've been following him since Alex Ferguson signed a young Ronaldo to Manchester United back in 2003 – making him the first Portuguese player ever to be signed to the club – then CR7 will allow you to take a fond walk down memory lane, and even see some of Ronaldo's jerseys and trophy collection up close. What makes things even more exciting is that Ronaldo will be visiting Hong Kong in person to celebrate the museum's opening, which will be the first of its kind in Asia. Exact details about his arrival and the events that will inevitably take place are yet to be disclosed, so watch this space for updates! Apart from the museum, the brand is also opening the first-ever CR7 Life Museum Official Flagship Store in Times Square, which we expect to be packed with exclusive Cristiano Ronaldo signed merchandise and memorabilia.

Cristiano Ronaldo ‘coming to Hong Kong' but date not yet fixed
Cristiano Ronaldo 'is coming to Hong Kong,' spokespersons for the football superstar have said, as his CR7 Life Museum is set to open in the city next month. The date of the 40-year-old Portugal captain's visit has yet to be fixed, Tomás Froes, a representative of the CR7 Family Office, said on Thursday during a press conference that announced the opening date of the CR7 Life Museum in Tsim Sha Tsui on July 7. 'He hasn't yet decided where he'll continue to play. It will be announced very soon, probably today,' Luis Parafita, also a representative of the CR7 Family Office, said during the same press conference. 'What I can tell you right now – and we know the responsibility of what I'm just going to say – is that he's coming to Hong Kong,' Parafita said. 'That is happening.' When asked if Ronaldo will play in the August tournament in Hong Kong, Froes declined to reveal the star's schedule, saying it would be 'surprise [upon] surprise.' Ronaldo's schedule will be arranged after the footballer decides which team he will play for in the next season, Parafita said. According to the BBC, Ronaldo is close to agreeing to a new contract with Saudi club Al-Nassr, which he has played for since January 2023. Ronaldo posted on social media last month, saying that 'this chapter is over' following Al-Nassr's defeat by Al-Fateh to finish third in the Saudi Pro League. His contract with the club is due to expire at the end of June. Al-Nassr will be one of four Saudi Arabian teams playing in Hong Kong between August 19 and 23 for the Saudi Super Cup, a pre-season tournament of the Saudi Pro League. Second museum The museum, to be located in the K11 Musea shopping mall in Tsim Sha Tsui, will cover an area of 12,000 square feet and feature trophies from Ronaldo's football career, as well as exhibits from his life. It is the second instalment of the CR7 Museum, after the first one opened in 2013 in Ronaldo's birthplace, Funchal, Portugal. Unlike its Portuguese precursor, the Hong Kong museum is set to run for only a year. Organisers expect the Hong Kong museum will attract more than two million visitors. Having scored more than 900 career goals for his clubs and Portugal, Ronaldo is widely considered one of the greatest football players in history.
