Travel warning issued as 'abnormal load' hits major Greater Manchester road
Drivers are being warned to expect disruption on a major road in Salford. Police say they are assisting with an abnormal load on the road this morning (February 22). The vehicle will be travelling along the A57 Cadishead Way, near Irlam. Greater Manchester Police says the vehicle will travelling on the road at around 10am. Motorists are warned to expect 'minor disruptions' while police assist the vehicle to its destination. Officers from GMP's commercial vehicles unit (CVU) are working on the road to help ensure things run smoothly. A GMP Traffic spokesperson wrote on X: "Officers from GMP #CVU are assisting with an abnormal load movement this morning in the Irlam area. Minor disruptions expected along Cadishead Way A57 at around 10am."
