India to host Australia in ODIs before Women's World Cup
The BCCI has announced a three-match ODI series against Australia, set to take place in September this year. The series will serve as vital preparation for the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025, which will be hosted by India later in the year. The matches are scheduled for September 14th, 17th, and 20th, with all games to be held at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Youngsters earn maiden ODI call-ups in Proteas squad for tri-series against India and Sri Lanka
Cricket South Africa has announced the squad for the Proteas Women's upcoming tour of Sri Lanka, where they will compete in an ODI tri-series against hosts Sri Lanka and India. Three players have received their maiden call-ups to the national side, with Karabo Meso and Seshnie Naidu, who featured in the ICC U19 Women's T20 World Cup earlier this year, included in the tri-series squad. All-rounder Miané Smit, who was a travelling reserve at last year's ICC Women's T20 World Cup, also makes the cut. The mixture of youth and experience helps. It's an opportunity for these girls to show what they can do. Hopefully, whatever we've covered at the camp can be applied in Sri Lanka when we take the field. 'For me, it's not an opportunity for Karabo, Miané and Seshnie anymore. It's an opportunity for us to give them exposure at this level. Going forward and for the bigger picture, it's important that we expose them as much as possible to international cricket." The tri-series will begin on April 27 and will be played entirely at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo. News Women's News South Africa Women
