Joe and I want to have kids – but my job is so demanding, says Strictly's Dianne Buswell, 35, who admits she's broody

The Australian pro dancer, who met her partner Joe Sugg when he competed in the BBC One show in 2018, says she has recently become broody after spending time with their nieces and nephews. 4 Strictly pro Dianne Buswell is feeling broody Credit: Camera Press 4 Dianne met partner Joe Sugg when he competed on Strictly in 2018 Credit: Instagram In an exclusive interview with The Sun on Sunday, she said: 'I would like to have children, 100 per cent. 'Joe and I love kids, and that's definitely something that we would absolutely love. I haven't really thought about how many I would like. It will definitely happen.' Dianne, 35, who won the contest last year partnering comedian Chris McCausland, says it was spending Christmas with family at the couple's home in Brighton that led to discussions about parenthood. The pair are already auntie and uncle to their siblings' children. Dianne has a brother, Andrew, who is also a dancer, and Joe's sister Zoella is a media personality. Dianne said: 'Joe's got two nieces who I also class as my nieces, and then I have another two nieces and two nephews in Australia, and my oldest niece is 15. 'I am a big fan of my little nieces and nephews. I love kids, I love working with them and being around them. Sometimes, I'm a big kid at heart myself. I think it helps when you can get down to their level. I'm very lucky.' 'Life-changing' But Dianne said one of her biggest challenges may just be finding the right time. She and fellow Strictly pro Vito Coppola have just announced a 30-date tour, Red Hot And Ready, starting next month. And she and Strictly winner Chris — the programme's first blind contestant — have just launched their own podcast, Winning Isn't Everything. Strictly's Dianne Buswell stuns in black swimsuit on the beach as she enjoys Christmas with Joe Sugg and her poorly dad On the prospect of motherhood, Dianne said: 'It is quite tough because my job is quite demanding, and I love it so much. 'It is a tough one to balance out and think about. It would take a lot of thought, but eventually one day we will get there, but there is lots happening at the moment. It will happen when it's supposed to.' Both she and YouTuber Joe, 33, have already had hugely successful careers. Dianne toured with hit show Burn The Floor in 2011, and also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia. In 2015, she starred in Australia's version of Strictly and landed the role in the UK show in 2017. As well as dancing, she and Joe are one of social media's highest- earning couples in the UK, with a reported combined fortune of £8.8million. Dianne makes sure she stays in the best shape possible for the challenges that face her with a strict diet, exercise and recovery routine. She learned a lot about her health from appearing in reality TV show Freeze The Fear With Wim Hof in April 2022. It consisted of performing tasks in sub-zero temperatures, and Dianne said the experience with the Dutch motivational speaker and extreme athlete — also known as The Iceman — was life-changing, and she now uses the breathing methods that were shown to her to deal with anxiety. She explained: 'I've delved into a lot of things to prolong my body. I don't want to use the word strict, because I don't have to do this, but I have things in place which are longevity for my body. For instance, I invested in an infrared sauna for myself. 'I've got an ice bath and a Pilates Reformer [exercise machine]. I have all these different things that I do, and I look after what I eat.' 'Achieved so much' Dianne, who had the equipment installed in the £3.5million, five- bedroom home the couple bought in 2022, said: 'I'm really invested, and I know it sounds quite extreme, but at the same time my body is my tool. 'It's my work and it's what I use every single day, so I find it an investment for my future and my body.' Dianne has a sauna and ice bath five days a week and said: 'I'll also stretch when I'm in the sauna, so my body is having a good stretch, too. 4 Dianne won Strictly last year partnering comedian Chris McCausland Credit: PA 'I'm very into all that kind of stuff. I love wellness, and I love feeling good, and I love that my body still feels like it did when I was 28 — I genuinely do. 'Touch wood, it's continuing on that path, but I think that's just because I'm very conscious about what I put into my body, and what I'm doing for my recovery. 'That's just as important as keeping the muscles maintained, and knowing what your body works well with, because everybody is so different.' The Glitterball is in my office so when I'm working it can remind me that hard work can pay off and I've already achieved so much Dianne Dianne, who has also been partnered with Max George, Tyler West and Bobby Brazier in Strictly, is hoping to return to the show again this year — an ambition that is already displayed on her office wall. She said: 'I like to surround myself in my office with lots of things that inspire me. 'I have a vision board, and I have things that I aspire to do, but also things that I am really proud of. 'Real honour' 'You can be working on something, and sometimes things don't work out, and you can get into a bit of a rut. 'But if you look around and see all the things you've already achieved, it makes it so much better. 'The Glitterball is in my office so when I'm working it can remind me that hard work can pay off and I've already achieved so much. I'm so proud of it.' Dianne adores her job so much that she still finds it 'exciting' to go to work every day. 4 Dianne says it was spending Christmas with family that led to discussions with Joe about parenthood, pictured on stage with dancer partner Chris Credit: PA She said: 'It doesn't feel like a hard slog. Yes, of course, when you're training you can become a bit tired because it is every day, especially if you make it all the way to the final. And obviously, last year Chris and I worked very hard to achieve what we did, but it was never a real drag. 'It was a real honour and a good experience.' Strictly is also where she met her dance touring partner, Vito. She said: 'We met on the show, but my mum's side of the family are Italian, and when I met Vito he felt like one of my cousins. 'That's the vibe Vito and I have, and I adore him. He's like either my crazy uncle or my crazy cousin. We've always got along, from day one.' Dianne is grateful for all the show has done for her — including meeting Joe, the man who she hopes will one day become the father of her baby. She said: 'It blows my mind. I'm just a girl from Bunbury in Western Australia who loved and had a massive passion for dance. 'Now it's brought me over to the UK on the biggest TV show that they have, so it's a real pinch-me moment.'

Ara Darzi

Credit - Mark Harrison—Camera Press/Redux Honorary consultant surgeon at Imperial College Hospital NHS Trust, Ara Darzi, was commissioned by the British government to review the state of the National Health Service. What he found was damning: crumbling facilities, equipment shortages, chronically long waits for treatment and outdated technology. His final report, released in September 2024, exposed one of the country's most respected institutions as a failing system stretched beyond its limits by a huge surge in demand from Britain's aging population. The capacity of the health service was 'degraded by disastrous management reforms,' Darzi wrote, while the trust and good will of many frontline staff has been lost. The report sparked a public outcry and a renewed commitment by the government to modernize and improve the vital health service. Darzi's review pointed to a number of factors to explain the decline in the health service: too much austerity in the 2010s, weak capital investment, and mismanagement. His insights are now being used to push for reform, with Prime Minister Keir Starmer promising a 10 year plan to reimagine the NHS, focusing on digitizing the organization and committing more investment to preventative care and community health services. Darzi has also called for setting government health targets, like increasing healthy life expectancy by 10 years by 2055, incentivizing businesses to prioritize healthier products, and greater investments in children's health. 'There is no path to either wellbeing or growth without prioritising health,' he says. 'That is a powerful platform for sustained, ambitious action by the new government.' Contact us at letters@

Jennie added: "They now seem pretty at ease with the cameras. "And that's a credit to William and Catherine." 3. Kate as a mentor The royal expert pointed out that Charlotte has always seemed to behave impeccably in public. This, she claims, is partly down to having the Princess of Wales as a blueprint for what to do as she grows older. She added: "She really is a bit of a mini me and I think she has a fine mentor in her elegant mother. "Charlotte seems quite at ease in public these days." Gets 'work days' and 'play days' When it comes to Prince William and Princess Kate's parenting style, they take inspiration from the late Princess Diana. Although Princess Charlotte may have to attend more formal events and high-profile occasions that the average child, it's not all work for the young royal. Jennie continued: "Their household strikes me as one way laughter rings out and the children are allowed to make the usual noise and mess of a busy family. "It's probably a leaf out of Diana's book: she told me she was always determined to give her two boys play days and work days. "They knew very well that on work days they had to look and behave like Royal princes, but on play days they could put on baseball caps and jeans, eat burgers and go go karting. "I think William and Catherine will do their utmost to let the children find their own ways in life: although, of course, for George, there is only one path ahead. 8 William and Kate are said to be taking a leaf out of Princess Diana's book with their parenting Credit: Getty "All three of the children will have to accept that there will be media and public interest in them for the rest of their lives. "That could be quite a tough pill to swallow and I think their parents are doing their very best to get them used to their destiny. "I don't think they will put pressure on the children or expect them to live up to high expectations. 'Kate has always wanted the children to live in the real world,' a royal source says. 'She and William don't want them to live in a gilded bubble." Insiders say the key to Kate's parenting skills stems from her own childhood. Both she and William have been inspired by the way Kate was brought up, going for country walks, baking cakes and sliding down the stairs on a tray. Princess Kate is currently making a 'gradual return' to royal duties in 2025 following her chemotherapy treatment last year. Kate Middleton's 'golden rule' with George, Charlotte and Louis KATE'S key rule for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis is about kindness. According to "Kate is often seen holding her children's hands or picking them up for cuddles when they were smaller. "There are often lots of comforting gestures, such as a pat on the back or stroking their hair. When interacting with other children on her public engagements, Kate often crouches down to their level to engage with them – something that Diana would often do." When she's at the family's home of Adelaide Cottage in A friend explained that behind closed doors, the royal mum is "very chilled at home" but definitely not a pushover and will tell the kids off when needed. They "She is doing that to help her children be more grounded and keep their reality in check. That's what really matters to her."
