PFF names WR Michael Wilson as Arizona Cardinals' X-factor in 2025

PFF names WR Michael Wilson as Arizona Cardinals' X-factor in 2025 Can Michael Wilson become the consistent third offensive weapon in the passing game in 2025? The Arizona Cardinals will be counting on a few players to be top performers in 2025. Quarterback Kyler Murray, running back James Conner, receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. and tight end Trey McBride are the high rollers on offense. They will rely on many newcomers on defense. But who is the Cardinals' X-factor in 2025? According to PFF, that would be third-year receiver Michael Wilson. Arizona Cardinals' 2025 X-factor: WR Michael Wilson Marvin Harrison Jr. could soon be a star, and Trey McBride is one of the best tight ends in the NFL. The Cardinals need one more dynamic receiving weapon, though, and Wilson is the player they're counting on. His 64.5 PFF receiving grade last season represents a slight decline from his rookie season in 2023. He also recorded fewer than 60 receiving yards in every game after Week 5 in 2024. If Wilson can break out in Year 3, Arizona's offense could be a serious two-dimensional threat. The Cardinals do need a consistent producer as their third option in the passing game. Murray believes Wilson can be a 1,000-yard receiver. The team's belief in him and the receivers behind him show in the fact that they only added Simi Fehoko in free agency. Wilson is a factor as a blocker and has had good games. What he has not had in his two NFL seasons is consistency. Will Year 3 be the year? If so and he can be an 800-yard type player, the Cardinals will be great offensively. 2021 first-round draft has Arizona Cardinals going with different LB than Zaven Collins

2021 first-round draft has Arizona Cardinals going with different LB than Zaven Collins PFN says the Cardinals would take LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah instead of Zaven Collins in 2021 first-round redraft Four years later, we can judge how the 2021 NFL draft went and whether teams would have or should have made the player selections they did. The Arizona Cardinals drafted linebacker Zaven Collins 16th overall in 2021. In a redraft of the first round of the 2021 draft by Pro Football Network, the Cardinals would not have taken Collins, but they would have gotten a linebacker still. The redraft has the Cardinals selecting linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramorah, who enters his fifth NFL season with the Cleveland Browns. The Cardinals had the right idea taking a versatile Swiss army knife at off-ball linebacker in Round 1 of the 2021 NFL Draft. In this redraft, though, they take a player in Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah who fits that bill and has more than lived up to the hype. When the Cardinals drafted Collins, they envisioned him as the Mike linebacker and able to do other things. He was okay, but when Jonathan Gannon became head coach, he was moved to the edge. The coaches love Collins. He does everything well an outside linebacker should do except for being a great pass rusher. He had a career-high five sacks last season. But he is great against the run and good in coverage. JOK was a Pro Bowler in 2023. He would have perhaps kept the Cardinals from signing Mack Wilson, but that's about it. Both Collins and JOK are more or less on the same level, albeit now at different positions. 99 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 99?

99 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 99? With 99 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 99. It is officially time to start counting down to the start of the 2025 Arizona Cardinals season. They have their season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7 on the road against the New Orleans Saints. That is now 99 days away. As we have done for years, we will count down to the season opener. Some years, we focus on stats. Other times it is a season and often it is jersey numbers. Last year we focused on one player per number. In this countdown, we will look at the history of players using different numbers. Let's look at No. 99 Cardinals players to wear No. 99 No. 99 is a rare number because it was retired in 1950 for Marshall Goldberg, who was part of the Cardinals' one championship team. But it was unretired for two seasons for defensive lineman J.J. Watt, who will be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame someday. Here is the history of No. 99, in reserve order: DL J.J. Watt, 2021-2022 RB Bob Nussbaumer, 1949-1950 FB Marsahll Goldberg, 1946-1948 Watt had 12.5 sacks in his final NFL season with the Cardinals.
