EXCLUSIVE Brides at war! Married At First Sight stars in frosty feud as they clash over fur coat at fan meet-up event: 'Tone deaf'

They came for the selfies and stayed for the subtle shade. What was meant to be a cheerful Married At First Sight fan meet-up in Melbourne took an awkward turn when brides Natalie Parham and Jacqui Burfoot found themselves on opposite sides of a fashion-fuelled fallout. Witnesses didn't notice a scene - but behind the scenes, things got frosty fast. Daily Mail Australia can reveal Natalie, who paired on the Nine series last year, took issue with Jacqui's choice to wear imitation fur, calling it out as 'tone deaf' given recent backlash aimed at co-star Carina Mirabile for similar styling. 'She called her out for wearing imitation fur - [and] promoting the fur trade,' a spy revealed. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Not sure why you'd wear it after all the Carina backlash, but that's just me - I'm no fashionista.' Jacqui, who had only purchased the garment the day before, was reportedly left upset by the unexpected criticism. Natalie admitted she 'pulled a face' and later felt compelled to apologise 'in advance' to co-star Clint Rice for how she handled the situation. 'She [Jacqui] was upset since she bought it yesterday and I pulled a face,' Natalie told Daily Mail Australia. 'I already said to them I disapprove of their throw stones mentality.' Despite the awkwardness, Natalie made it clear she wasn't interested in playing nice for appearances, instead choosing to spend time with friend Lyndall Grace. 'I wanted to hang out with Lyndall and I got to do that - if I don't like someone I don't associate with them,' she added bluntly. It comes after Carina hit back at an animal activist after she was slammed for wearing a 'fur coat' to Australian Fashion Week last month. Bailey, who runs the account Warrior For Animals, shared images of the reality TV star in the ankle-length 'vintage' coat, claiming she 'defied' the event's no animal skin rule. Carina later posted to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown jacket she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur. The debacle kicked off when Bailey shared a collage of Carina in her fur coat next to news AFW had 'banned all wildlife materials' from runways. The second time Carina mentioned wearing fur came during an interview with Daily Mail Australia when she was asked about her outfit. 'Yes this is my own 'fit. I bought this fur coat from New York in Brooklyn and I've got SKIMS on underneath and literally pantyhose stockings,' she said. Carina wore a nude SKIMS 'Ultimate Butt' bodysuit beneath the coat, opting for a look inspired by Kim Kardashian. While the bride has not directly referenced Bailey's accusations, she later shared a post to her Instagram Stories saying the coat is not real fur. 'It's not real fur FYI and my stylist uses vegan products,' she captioned an image of her look. Carina's makeup artist Angelina Jade commented beneath saying: 'She a vegan baddie.' The budding fashionista also made a statement to Chattr, reiterating she was not wearing real fur. 'It's not real fur, bought from a vintage store in New York. I wouldn't wear anything that's not ethically sourced,' she says. She went on to say it was 'worrying' to see people jump to conclusions so quickly. Carina later posted to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown coat she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur 'People are so quick to judge in this day and age and it's worrying and detrimental on people's lives,' 'We are not robots. If people have nothing nice to say, they shouldn't say anything at all. 'There is already enough cruelty in the world, people shouldn't add to it, but try and make it a better peaceful place.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Carina for further comment, as well as the Australian Fashion Council to verify any complaints made. AFW banned all wildlife-derived materials, including fur, exotic animal skins and feathers, from being used on runways this year and in the future.

Married At First Sight star Carina Mirabile reveals the REAL story behind her TV groom Paul Antoine's shocking door punching incident including his surprising sex confession

Married At First Sight star Carina Mirabile has revealed new shock details about her TV husband Paul Antoine's shocking door punching incident which aired on the Channel Nine show earlier this year. During the emotionally charged episode, Paul sensationally punched a door in the couple's shared apartment after Carina made what she thought was an offhand comment about a dalliance with US rapper Quevo. The incident set the couple down a rocky relationship road, as well as shocking viewers and sparking a police investigation. Speaking about the incident on her new podcast with celebrity hairstylist Jacob Mueller, This Is Chaos, Carina recalled the lead up to Paul's violent outburst - a double date with couple Rhi Disljenkovic and Jeff Gobbels. She explained that what she thought was an innocent comment about her tryst with Quevo triggered something in Paul. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'We were taking turns putting on a song [in an Uber]. I put on a song and it was one with Quavo in it. I said, "I slept with him" as it was funny and stupid, we all laughed about it. Paul laughed as well,' she said. 'Then when we get back to the apartment and Paul was so furious. He was frustrated, I could see he was upset. He was pacing, he had to go the balcony, I was thinking okay this isn't normal, something is up.' Carina added that she thought her comment would be inconsequential, given a shock confession Paul made to Carina that was cut from the show's final edit. 'When Paul and I were doing Confessions Week at the start of the experiment, he openly said that he was into swinging with his ex-partner,' Carina revealed. 'I was like, are you for real? Does your family know about this? Then he told me all about his past dating life and I just let it go.' Given Paul's racy confession, Carina said that she was surprised at Paul's reaction to her own admission. 'He was just so upset and dramatic about the whole Quavo situation. I kept apologising, he kept saying he was embarrassed that I openly said that. I kept saying sorry, sorry, sorry. I didn't feel unsafe, it was just us having a fight,' she said. 'I said, "but you openly said, on camera, for a national television show, that you had slept with swingers and did swinging with your ex so I didn't think [me sharing that story] that was a bad thing." Carina added that she thought her comment would be inconsequential, given a shock confession Paul made to Carina that was cut from the show's final edit. 'When Paul and I were doing Confessions Week at the start of the experiment, he openly said that he was into swinging with his ex-partner,' she revealed 'Where's the juxtaposition between this? What is okay and not okay? You're allowed to do that and I just have to accept it? But when I say something about my past sex life you have a massive blow up?' Carina then revealed that a producer, hearing the arguing coming from the couple's room, tried to intervene prior to Paul's outburst. She said the producer encouraged Paul to take a walk to calm down, but an evening stroll did little to allay the groom's temper. 'He was angry, pacing and breathing heavily. I just said, "let's go to bed, let's go to bed." So we're laying in bed, I could hear him panting and I asked, "what's going on? Are you okay?" He got up and said "no, I'm not okay." 'He got up and bang, bang. I was like holy shit this has now gotten so much serious. I was freaking out, thinking how did it get from that comment to this situation?' Carina, who stayed with Paul following his outburst, said that she regrets standing by her man, adding that she feels she let domestic violence victims down. 'Watching that back as it aired, with all of the viewers of the show, I know I 100 per cent let down so many women and victims of domestic violence,' she said. 'While it was all happening [during filming], I was processing it all and didn't know what was happening. Carina, who walked away from a heartbroken Paul during Final Vows, added that she is arming herself with knowledge about domestic violence so as not to make the same mistake again 'I thought he was coming from a place of having to create this drama for a television show. There was so much drama with other couples on the show, and we were boring essentially.' Carina, who walked away from a heartbroken Paul during Final Vows, added she is arming herself with knowledge so as not to make the same mistake again. He hadn't shown me any bad behaviour signs or signs of domestic violence at all [prior to that night] and it all happened so out of a blue,' she said. 'I am now trying to educate myself so I can identify things like this and signs for my future relationship. Before this I had never experienced any form of domestic violence.' Speaking about the incident in April, Paul told Daily Mail Australia that lack of sleep was one catalyst for his outburst. 'I was mentally drained. We were filming 12 to 14 hours a day, and I was running on five hours of sleep. I just snapped,' he said. Paul added he felt Carina's apologies over her public admission were 'deflective' adding that his reaction was 'unacceptable'. 'I walked out of the room and I lost control. The moment it happened, I instantly felt shame. I felt disgusted,' he said. Paul also confirmed that this kind of behaviour had never happened before in his life. 'My friends, my family — they know me. That's not who I am. I've never lashed out like that.'

Dr Kate Adams shames Married at First Sight's Carina Mirabile for embarrassing fur coat lie at Australian Fashion Week

Dr Kate Adams has taken a break from working with anti-poaching teams in Africa to weigh in on Carina Mirabile's Australian Fashion Week fur coat faux pas. The Real Housewives of Sydney and Bondi Vet star has joined animal rights activists in shaming the Married at First Sight bride for opting to wear a real fur coat to Australian Fashion Week — then lie about it. Carina, 31, turned heads on Day Two of Sydney 's streetwear fashion parade as she arrived to Carriageworks wearing the nude SKIMS 'Ultimate Butt' bodysuit and a voluminous fur coat. The season 12 bride, who was matched with controversial French groom Paul Antoine on MAFS, was quick to tell her outraged fans that the coat was 'fake' and made of faux fur after she posted the look to Instagram. 'Yes this is my own 'fit. I bought this fur coat from New York in Brooklyn and I've got SKIMS on underneath and literally pantyhose stockings,' Carina told Daily Mail Australia. Unfortunately for Carina, the original owner of the fur coat commented on her post and revealed it is in fact, 'a real vintage fur coat,' that was sold to Carina on Facebook Marketplace. Kate, 43, shared the news to her Stories on Saturday and praised Bailey (AKA @warriorforanimals) for bringing it to her attention. 'I'm going to leave this here,' Kate began. 'More evidence that the universe will always get you in the arse if you lie.' The reality TV alum offered some advice to the fledgling influencer in her post, as Carina she prepares to launch her own podcast. 'The correct way to fix this mess is to say, "Sorry, big mistake. Won't be an a**hat next time,' Kate said. She tagged animal activist Bailey, adding, 'What a good human you are.' Australian Fashion Week officially banned the use of real furs, exotic skins, and animal feathers in 2025. Bailey, who runs the account Warrior For Animals, shared images of the reality TV star in the ankle-length 'vintage' coat, claiming she 'defied' the event's no animal skin rule. Carina has since taken to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown coat that she said she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur Carina's denials have also done little to quell the online backlash about her wearing the coat Carina took to her social media to to assure followers the shaggy brown jacket, that she says she purchased in Brooklyn, is actually faux fur. Carina has claimed multiple times on social media that her coat is not real fur, but it has done little to quell the online backlash. 'It's not real fur FYI and my stylist uses vegan products,' Carina captioned an image of her look. On Chattr, she added: 'It's not real fur, bought from a vintage store in New York. 'I wouldn't wear anything that's not ethically sourced.' But in a surprising twist, a woman claiming to be the original owner of the coat then commented on Carina's post, alleging 'Temu Kim' lied about its origin. 'It's actually a real vintage fur coat, it's not fake fur,' she wrote. 'I know because she bought that coat from me off [Facebook] marketplace several years ago. I was the one who bought it in NYC and it was stated in my ad. Funny that she lied about it.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Carina for further comment, as well as the Australian Fashion Council to verify any complaints made. The Australian Fashion Council's new policy was developed alongside Collective Fashion Justice and World Animal Protection. It comes following years of activism calling for cruel materials to be excluded from the show. 'Well done - the ban made me cheer (especially after fur situation last season),' Kate wrote in another post last week, as she made a reference to her on-screen feud with her Real Housewives of Sydney co-star Victoria Montano over the subject.

Married At First Sight's Carina Mirabile leaves her fur coat at home after being slammed for wearing banned 'animal skins' to Australian Fashion Week

Carina Mirabile has ditched her fake fur after a clash with an animal activist. The Married At First Sight star arrived for day four of Australian Fashion Week in Sydney on Thursday without a coat in sight. The 31-year-old opted for a dramatic black maxi gown with a huge tulle floral design at the front. She added a of heels but otherwise skipped the accessories to let her frock, which included a long train, do all the talking. For makeup, Carina chose a clean look with a dark pink nude lipstick and wore her dark hair in soft curls. It comes after Carina hit back at an animal activist after she was slammed for wearing a 'fur coat' to Australian Fashion Week on day two. Bailey, who runs the account Warrior For Animals, shared images of the reality TV star in the ankle-length 'vintage' coat, claiming she 'defied' the event's no animal skin rule. However, Carina, 31, has since taken to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown jacket she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur. The debacle kicked off on Wednesday when Bailey shared a collage of Carina in her fur coat next to news AFW had 'banned all wildlife materials' from runways. 'Australian Fashion Week banned fur and exotic skins. Deliberately in defiance of the AFW policy, Carina Mirabile decided to wear real fur at AFW,' Bailey wrote. 'An official complaint has been made to ban Carina from AFW because of her breach of animal welfare policy.' Bailey then went on to note the moments Carina said she was wearing fur to AFW. The first was a selfie she shared to Instagram, which saw her sitting in a car wearing the controversial coat with the caption: 'Look two. Wearing vintage fur coat #afw.' The second time Carina mentioned wearing fur came during an interview with Daily Mail Australia when she was asked about her outfit. 'Yes this is my own 'fit. I bought this fur coat from New York in Brooklyn and I've got SKIMS on underneath and literally pantyhose stockings,' she said. Star's nude look at fashion week turns heads

A reality star has stunned at Australia's premium fashion celebration in a nude look akin to Kim Kardashian herself. Carina Mirabile, who appeared on the most recent season of Married At First Sigh t, was one of the many faces at Australian Fashion Week. On Day Three of the event, she went for a Kim Kardashian inspired look, wearing a corset style bodysuit over a pair of shorts and skin tone stockings. The reality TV contestant paired it with nude, point heels and an oversized fur-look coat. Kardashian recently donned a similar look, wearing a full bodysuit over a fur coat. Both women had their hair slicked back. It's not the first time Mirabile has been compared to the OG queen of reality TV. Under another post, someone said: 'Why you trying to be like the Kardashians?' Ms Mirabile has been a staple at the event this year, attending the Carla Zampatti show on opening night with her mother. The pair were filmed getting ready in their hotel room at the Intercontinental Double Bay. 'You're beautiful, really are wonderful personality,' one said. Another added: 'Beautiful lady.' 'Sooo much fun,' another social media user commented. 'Beautiful. Kind ladies thank you for choosing faux fur in your shoot,' one added. Someone else said: 'Gorgeous muma and daughter duo. Love your style Carina.' 'It's giving Kris & Kim K,' another posted. One follower simply declared: 'Queens.' Mirabile rose to fame on the Channel 9 reality show, however an alleged incident involving her groom Paul Antoine caused many people to call out the program. Antoine allegedly punched a hole in the wall after Mirabile revealed she had an intimate relationship with an American rapper ahead of her appearance on the series. At the time, NSW Police confirmed the matter had been referred to officers from South Sydney Police Area Command, but details of the investigation remain scarce. 'The matter has been referred to officers from South Sydney Police Area Command, who have commenced an investigation,' a NSW Police spokesman told NewsWire. 'As the investigation is current, police will not be making any further comment in relation to the matter.'
