No. 2 WR in 2026 Class Turns Heads After Spurning Colorado for Alabama

No. 2 WR in 2026 Class Turns Heads After Spurning Colorado for Alabama originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Alabama Crimson Tide added another top recruit to their star-studded 2026 recruiting class on Wednesday. Advertisement Five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan committed to the Tide over the Colorado Buffaloes, Florida Gators, and Georgia Bulldogs. Per On3's Hayes Fawcett, Morgan is fired up to be part of the Tide. 'Bama made, Bama raised, Bama stayed!!!! RTR," Morgan told Fawcett. The Tide have been on a recruiting heater over the last week and a half. They have landed 10 recruits in 11 days and now have three five-star recruits in their 2026 recruiting class, per 247Sports. Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Kalen Pendleton-Imagn Images Morgan is the top recruit in his home state (Alabama) and the second-best wide receiver recruit in the nation, per 247Sports composite rankings. He is also the No. 12 overall recruit in the country. Advertisement College football fans had a lot to say about this commitment when it was made official. "DeBoer is really good at this recruiting thing," one tweet read. "Laughable that people actually expected us to fall off after Saban," another tweet read. "Kalen DeBoer & this staff are absolutely on FIRE these last 2 weeks," another fan tweeted. "Yeah, with a name like this, my guy is gonna be ELITE," another fan tweeted. "Man…. All those DeBoer can't recruit in the south people sure are quiet nowadays," another tweet read. The Tide will try to keep carrying this momentum for the rest of July. They will open the 2025 college football season against the Florida State Seminoles on August 30. Auburn Handed Massive Recruiting Loss by Biggest Rival

Auburn Handed Massive Recruiting Loss by Biggest Rival originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers were beaten out by their bitter rivals twice in two days on the recruiting trail. The Alabama Crimson Tide earned the commitment of five-star receiver Cederian Morgan on Friday. Advertisement On Saturday, the Tigers watched Kalen DeBoer's team win the affection of five-star safety Jireh Edwards. Freeze's team remains in the mix for another five-star safety in the 2026 class, Bralan Womack. Still, Edwards is a big swing and miss, being that 247Sports director of scouting Andrew Ivins compares him to former Georgia Bulldogs standout Malaki Starks. "Punishing defender that should offer some alignment flexibility... as he can spin down into the box or patrol from the border," Ivins wrote in a scouting report. "Projects as an all-around defensive playmaker that can make an impact on Saturdays and then possibly Sundays with his physicality and athleticism. "Likely to keep the tag of safety, but should really be viewed as a chess piece that can be moved all around in an era where position lines continue to blur." Advertisement Auburn Tigers head football coach Hugh Freeze.© John Reed-Imagn Images Other safeties that the Tigers have offered that haven't committed include four-stars Lasiah Jackson, Cortez Redding and Craig Tutt. Three-stars Tyriq Green, Blake Stewart and Nascar McCoy also have yet to make a choice with Auburn on their offer lists. Auburn's defense was middle of the pack in the SEC last season, giving up 330.8 yards per game. Texas, Tennessee and Ole Miss were tops in that category. Especially during a three-game stretch that includes Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Georgia this season, the Tigers will have to make some big stops. Alabama football's ridiculous recruiting run continues with 5-star WR

The post Alabama football's ridiculous recruiting run continues with 5-star WR appeared first on ClutchPoints. There are a few programs that are hot on the recruiting trail right now, but no one is doing a better job than the Alabama football team. The Crimson Tide are scorching hot, and they added yet another five-star on Wednesday. Elite 2026 wide receiver Cederian Morgan just announced his decision, and he is going to play for head coach Kalen DeBoer and Alabama. Florida, Georgia and Colorado were other top options for Morgan, but the Crimson Tide got the job done. Advertisement 'BREAKING: Five-Star WR Cederian Morgan has Committed to Alabama, he tells me for @rivals,' Hayes Fawcett said in a post. 'The No. 2 WR in the '26 Class chose the Crimson Tide over Florida, Georgia, & Colorado.' The Alabama native is feeling good after his decision to play for the Crimson Tide: 'Bama made, Bama raised, Bama stayed!!!! RTR,' he said. Cederian Morgan is a five-star recruit, according to 247Sports. He is the #11 player in the 2026 recruiting class, the #2 WR and the #1 player in the state of Alabama. Morgan currently attends Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City, AL. He is staying home. Advertisement 'Evaluation echoes that of a luxury sports car: big, smooth, and powerful,' Morgan's scouting report reads. 'Plays with obvious horsepower, accompanied by some encouraging physical refinement and nuance in regards to fluidity and locomotion. Dominant in contested scenarios as a consistent high pointer who exploits significant physical advantages vs. smaller defenders. Owns an enormous catch radius that gives a QB a large target throughout the route tree. Immensely productive with huge receiving numbers and even some limited defensive reps.' Alabama is getting a player that is good enough to quickly make a major impact on the program, and one with pro potential as well. 'Excellent multi-sport profile that includes averaging a double-double in hoops, an Alabama 6A high jump silver medal (6-8), and a 21.74 200-meter rep,' the scouting report adds. 'Size and track speed suggests that another top-end gear in pads exists, and therefore consistent downfield separation ability. Shows encouraging short-to-intermediate route snap and leveraging ability, especially considering size. Uniquely gifted pass-catching target with outstanding physical tools and athletic chops. Projects as a high-major impact player with traits that suggest long-term NFL Draft high-round potential.' The Alabama football team got off to a slow start recruiting the 2026 class, but the Crimson Tide now have one of the best classes in the country. Alabama has landed three five-stars recruits, eight four-stars and six three-stars. The class is currently ranked #6 in the country, according to 247Sports. When the 2026 cycle is all wrapped up, the Crimson Tide might finish with a top-five class.
