Georgia is hosting one of the top wide receivers in the country this weekend in hopes for a talented pairing with five-star quarterback commit Jared Curtis. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound passer was previously committed to UGA last fall before re-opening his recruitment. Curtis, the top quarterback in the country, was down to Georgia and Oregon before making his latest decision. With Curtis in the fold, attention turns to adding him some weapons. Georgia does have three four-star wide receivers committed to date, but that group would instantly be bolstered by five-star Cederian Morgan. After Morgan confirmed his official visit with a post on X, Curtis reacted with a post of his own. Morgan posted 70 catches for 1,162 yards and 14 TD as a junior in 2024. The multi-sport athlete also averaged 14.4 points and 11.3 rebounds per game on the hardwood. Morgan has official visits scheduled to Florida (June 6), Auburn (June 13) and Alabama (June 20) before announcing his commitment on July 2. Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are in the running for one of the top players in the 2026 recruiting class. Five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan visited Colorado last weekend and was in awe of the atmosphere in Boulder. He recapped the weekend with Coach Prime and his staff, telling On3's Steve Wiltfong the Buffs have a "Great shot" to land him. Advertisement "Talking to Cederian Morgan after his visit on Sunday, he said 'They got a great shot. This is my first time being there. I really enjoyed it,'" Wilting said. 'He had a great time at Colorado this weekend.' At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, the Alexander City (Alabama) product would be one of the highest-ranked receivers in CU history. Morgan is ranked as the No. 2 wide receiver in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports. He's also a tri-sport athlete with football, track, and basketball as part of his background. Morgan finished junior season with 70 catches for 1,162 yards and 14 TD. He helped Benjamin Russell HS make the first round of the Alabama state playoffs in 2024. The Alexander City native is high on Auburn's radar and has a 66% chance to sign with the Tigers according to 247Sports' crystal ball. However, On3 believes that Alabama will reel him in with an 89% forecast. He will close his official visit tour by visiting Auburn and Alabama, so it is expected that his decision will come down to the success of those two visits in June. What do we need to know about Morgan before his commitment date? Here are five facts about Cederian Morgan and what a potential commitment would mean for Auburn. He was a high school teammate of Auburn WR Malcolm Simmons Morgan and Simmons were quite the duo at Benjamin Russell High School in Alexander City during the 2023 football season. Simmons led the team in receiving as a senior in 2023 by hauling in 60 catches for 1,279 yards and 14 scores. Morgan was tied for second in receiving with 622 yards on 36 catches for four touchdowns as a sophomore. Morgan will play for Jeremiah Cobb's high school head coach this season Former Montgomery Catholic head coach Kirk Johnson takes over the Benjamin Russell program this season after a successful four-year stint at Montgomery Catholic, where he posted a 55-2 record with two state championships. Top Alabama 2026 target, 5-star wide receiver announces official commitment date One of the Alabama Crimson Tide's top 2026 recruiting targets, an official commitment date for Cederian Morgan is now set. Morgan, who has Alabama listed among his six finalists, will announce his commitment decision July 2 between the Crimson Tide and five other programs. Alongside the Crimson Tide, Morgan has the Auburn Tigers, Clemson Tigers, Colorado Buffaloes, Florida Gators, and Georgia Bulldogs in his top six. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Morgan is currently considered as the No. 14 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class, as well as the No. 3 wide receiver nationally.
