Adam Collard feared Laura Woods' miscarriage was 'karma' for his love-rat past
Former Love Island star Adam Collard has admitted he blames his past "love rat" ways for bringing "bad karma" onto his relationship with sports presenter Laura Woods Adam Collard has revealed he blames his past actions for fiancee Laura Woods having a miscarriage. The former Love Island star admitted he believes his previous "love rat" persona brought "bad karma" on the pair. The Geordie star, 29, confessed he believes his dating show antics on the likes of the ITV show - where he appeared twice - and Celebs Go Dating brought negative energy onto his current relationship. The gym owner is set to be put through his paces on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, taking part in a series of gruelling physical challenges. Speaking on the new series, dad-of-one Adam explained his thought process. He told the cameras: "I know it's a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people. "I felt like that was some high power's way of being like, 'Well, there you go, that's what you have to carry'." He went on: "I was just a cocky little p***k, being a love rat jumping from girl to girl. I want to show I'm not that man any more." And revealing why he chose to test himself on the endurance show, the fitness fanatic explained it was the mental test he desired. "'I had a lot of stuff going on before I went on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins," he said. "And I've got to be honest but credit to the show, I actually think it had the most positive impact on my mental health." Adam began dating sports presenter Laura in October 2023. The following year they announced they were expecting their first child and in April 2025 they welcomed their son Leo. The pair have both kept their followers up to date with their family life and at the turn of the year, Adam posted a candid message on his social media. At the time, he wrote: "2024, the hardest year of my life." He went on: "I've seen lot of amazing 2024 posts over the last few days... but if you're struggling right now, remember that Instagram is a highlights reel, and if you're struggling you aren't alone. "Struggled with my mental health more than ever. Lost something important. Struggled with injuries. Suffered with addiction to painkillers and sleeping pills and justified it as 'it doesn't affect fitness' or because it wasn't booze. "Got diagnosed with depression. Prescribed anti-depressants. Lost family. Drifted from certain friends. Tried to reach out to people and failed. Felt lost." But he admitted he also had a lot to be positive about, including his son and relationship. At the time, Laura issued a gushing response. In the comments section, replying: "Proud of you. You're going to be the most amazing dad x."

Adam Collard blames himself for fiancée Laura Woods' miscarriage as he says tragedy was 'bad karma for his love rat past' ahead of Celebrity SAS
Adam Collard blamed himself after his fiancée Laura Woods suffered a miscarriage, attributing the tragedy to 'bad karma from his love rat past.' The reality TV personality, 29, first appeared on Love Island back in 2018 before returning to the show in 2022 and enjoying a stint on Celebs Go Dating. He will now be put through his paces on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins as he is put to the test in a number of gruelling Special Forces challenges. Due to his dating show history, 'jumping from girl to girl' and 'upsetting too many people,' Adam believes the tragic loss was a consequence for his bad behaviour. Speaking on the show, which is set to air on Sunday, he admitted: 'I know it's a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people.' 'I felt like that was some high power's way of being like, 'Well, there you go, that's what you have to carry'. The TV personality, 29, appeared on Love Island in 2018 before returning in 2022 and enjoying a stint on Celebs Go Dating. He will now be put through his paces on Celebrity SAS Adam added: 'I was just a cocky little p***k, being a love rat jumping from girl to girl. I want to show I'm not that man any more.' Explaining his reasons for joining the cast, he said: 'On a personal level, I wanted to test myself mentally. 'I had a lot of stuff going on before I went on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and I've got to be honest but credit to the show, I actually think it had the most positive impact on my mental health.' Laura and Adam began dating in October 2023 and announced that they were expecting their first child in 2024 and their son Leo was born in April 2025. Their relationship came a year after Adam famously returned to Love Island in 2022 in a bid to meet his dream woman. He previously caused chaos on the show in 2018 when he coupled up with four different women - Kendall, Rosie, Zara, and Darylle. While he ultimately went on to have a relationship with the now Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott, they split after seven months together. In 2022, he once again found himself a girlfriend on the show, Paige Thorne, but their romance was short-lived and they quickly split after leaving the show. He caused chaos on Love Island in 2018 when he coupled up with four different women - but ultimately went on to have a relationship with Zara McDermott (pictured in 2018) Paige later accused Adam of cheating and he admitted that he used her to enjoy a longer stint on Love Island, stating he 'completely chose the right person to stay on the show'. Adam went on to date Kate Moss's sister Lottie Moss after they were set up on Celebs Go Dating, but the romance ended after a month. This was reportedly the result of Adam sleeping with another woman after he had been intimate with Lottie. She said at the time: 'I hope he finds happiness – deep down in that cold shell of a soul.' Adam's relationship with Laura has been much more successful from the get-go, with the former reality star describing the presenter as 'the one'. The official line-up of the upcoming series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins includes an S Club 7 singer, Premier League footballers and a woman dubbed the 'most hated in Britian'. Series seven of the much-loved Channel 4 show will return to our screens on August 3 2025. Fans will be treated to eight one-hour episodes every Sunday and Monday, which will see a group of 14 famous faces take on a 'gruelling phase of the Special Forces selection'. Chief instructor Billy Billingham and his team Jason Fox, Rudy Reyes and Chris Oliver will also be returning to our screens to put the celebrities through it.

Celebs Go Dating return date just days away - as series undergoes major shake-up
Celebs Go Dating have confirmed the return date for the 14th series - and fans don't have too long to wait to see the star studded single cast attempt to find the one Months after revealing the star studded line-up, E4 have confirmed a start date for hit show Celebs Go Dating, and fans don't have long to wait. The 14th season will see celebrities including Kerry Katona and The Chase's Mark Labbett push themselves out of their comfort zone with the help of celebrity dating agents Anna Williamson, Paul C. Brunson and sexual communication specialist Dr. Tara Suwinyattichaiporn. Other single celebs heading into the dating agency include Love Island 's Olivia Hawkins, Made in Chelsea's Sam Prince, CBB star and comedian Donna Preston, S Club's Jon Lee and Too Hot To Handle's Louis Russell. Fans don't have long to wait at all until they can witness all the dating drama unfold, with the series kicking off on Monday August 11th at 9pm on E4. Unlike former series, the celebs won't be kicking off their journey in London. In fact, they'll be heading over to Ibiza, staying in a luxurious villa. Will the new location turn up the heat? Whilst the celebs were out filming a few months back, it was rumoured that Olivia and Louis had formed a connection with each other - breaking one of the agencies major rules. But how will things pan out? Christine McGuinness also headed off to Ibiza to join the rest of the cast following her split with Take Me Out host Paddy. However, it was revealed halfway into filming that she had decided the process wasn't for her. The mother of two said in her statement: "I joined Celebs Go Dating with great intentions but have realised that dating on a public platform and the attention that brings is just too soon for me. They've said the door is always open for me which I'm so grateful but for now I'm returning home to my family." Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, sexpert Dr Tara said on her departure: 'As one of the dating experts on the show, I completely respect Christine's decision to step away at this time," she said. "It takes real self awareness and strength to recognise your emotional boundaries, especially in such a unique and public setting. We support her wholeheartedly and wish her continued healing, happiness, and love on her terms.' Elsewhere, Dr Tara gave us an insight into what we can expect during the new series. Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona joins the agency after announcing her heartbreaking split with ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney. "Lovely Kerry has an amazing story. People will really get to hear what has been happening since she last joined the agency. A lot has happened since she last joined," Dr Tara told the Mirror. "She really is able to use our agency as a platform to tell us what truly happened and her narrative. She has had a very traumatic life but is in a very good place now to move forward with romance and dating."
