NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Temperatures cooled off a few degrees this afternoon. A few isolated showers and storms have been moving through eastern and northern portions of the state. Moisture will increase across the eastern half of New Mexico by Memorial Day afternoon. This will bring a chance for isolated storms to the eastern half of the state. Temperatures will again be a couple of degrees cooler on Memorial Day, but right around average for this time of year. Forecast Continues Below Crime: Two ABQ police officers placed on leave in critical pedestrian crash on Central Real Estate: 'Nothing short of a personal resort' luxury property listed for $12M in Santa Fe National: 'I'm sincerely sorry': Billy Joel cancels all concerts due to brain disorder diagnosis Moisture will increase in eastern and central New Mexico by Tuesday. This will bring a chance for showers and storms in the eastern half of the state and the Rio Grande Valley and northern mountains into the middle of next week. Kirtland Air Fiesta returns after a six-year hiatus

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – After a six-year layoff, the Kirtland Air Fiesta is back at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. The public will get a chance to check out both modern and classic aircraft and enjoy a lineup of aerial demonstrations and static displays. Gates open at 8 a.m. and show closes at 5 p.m. Guests can see a lineup of performances by the U.S. Army Golden Knights, F-16 Viper Demonstration Team, Shaw Air Force Base, a showcase from the 58th Special Operations Wing and more. The event is free to attend. For civilians that don't have access to the base, Kirtland has set up a park and ride system to bring members of the public on base for the event.
