Additionally, 651 candidates managed to clear both groups, achieving a combined pass percentage of 18.64 per cent. According to ICMAI's qualifying standards, candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 40 per cent in each paper and an overall aggregate of 50 per cent across all non-exempted papers to pass a group. If a candidate does not clear the group but scores 60 per cent or higher in any individual paper, they will be granted an exemption from retaking that paper in the next exam cycle. To calculate the aggregate in future attempts, the marks for the exempted paper will be treated as 50 per cent. The CMA programme, administered by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), is held twice annually—in June and December.
