Brad Pitt insists he's found a 'softness' in his older age and reveals how he's changed following claims he 'abused' Angelina Jolie - as he opens up on painful divorce

Brad Pitt has insisted he's found a 'softness' in his older age - following the claims he 'abused' his ex-wife Angelina Jolie. The actor, 61, admitted he's discovered a 'love of nature and architect' as he opened up about how he's changed in recent years. In a new interview with GQ magazine - where he finally broke silence on his ugly eight-year Angelina, 49, divorce battle - Brad candidly spoke about his mellow self. He said: 'I'm a bit of an architectural snob and I'm a bit of a nature lover. 'So I just look for a really beautiful spot for a new experience instead of trying to re-create the - I mean, I bring my own sheets. I've grown fond of softness in my older age, but that's about it.' Brad and Angelina's ugly divorce battle finally ended in December 2024 after she filed in 2016. The dispute has seen the exes attack each other in legal filings ever since Brad sued Angelina in 2022 for selling her stake in their Chateau Miraval estate, which produces an award-winning sparkling rosé. Legal filings seen by show that the communications Brad was ordered to produce began the day Angelina claimed he abused her on a private plane shortly before their separation in 2016. She previously accused him of pouring red wine and beer over his ex and one of the couple's children on a private plane. Brad has always denied being abusive and was cleared by law enforcement following an investigation – though his ex-wife claimed in filings that his 'history of physical abuse' started 'well before' the plane incident. The Maleficent actress filed documents in July claiming that the actor tried to force her to sign an $8.5million NDA to cover up 'years of abuse.' At the same time, her legal team asked that the court compel Brad to disclose 'private, third-party communications' he had about their family's 2016 plane ride that resulted in Angelina filing for divorce. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Lia Martin issued the ruling last year, after Angelina's lawyers claimed that the documents would prove her claims Brad tried to make her sign an NDA. She claims that the gag order would have prevented her from speaking out about the alleged abuse, amid a verbal agreement she would sell her half of the winery to Brad. Angelina's lawyers at the time claimed that the documents would prove 'communications concerning abuse, lies to authorities, and years of cover up' on Brad's part. Brad's legal team sought for the motion to be denied, claiming the requests were 'wide-ranging and intrusive'. The actors' lawyers also branded the filing as a 'sensationalist fishing expedition', with sources calling the latest ruling 'irrelevant', as the actor has provided 'so much information already'. Paul Murphy, a lawyer for Jolie, branded the documents as 'crucial evidence' that Brad has 'fought for years to hide.' Elsewhere in the interview for the magazine's 2025 Summer Issue, alongside his F1 movie co-stars Damson Idris and Lewis Hamilton, Brad spoke about his high-profile divorce. The Oscar-winning actor was not venting, however, and instead seemed to try and downplay the legal boxing match that's made headlines for almost a decade. He said finally seeing the end of their battle was not 'major.' 'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing,' Pitt said. 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally.' Brad and Angelina, who share six children — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, also 16 — married in 2014 after meeting on the set of Mr And Mrs Smith. Brad did acknowledge his love life is 'always in the news.' 'It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way,' he told GQ. He now lives at his Los Angeles home with his 32-year-old girlfriend, jewelry executive Ines de Ramon.

Brad Pitt breaks silence on finalising 8-year divorce battle with Angelina Jolie

Brad Pitt has finally broken his silence on the eight-year divorce battle with Angelina Jolie, which ended in December. After nearly a decade of legal wrangling and tabloid speculation, Pitt has finally responded to a question on the protracted and bitter divorce battle with Angelina Jolie that concluded in late 2023. In a revealing interview for the June issue of GQ magazine, as he promoted his new movie F1, the Oscar-winning actor addressed the finalization of the divorce with a surprising calmness. 'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing,' Pitt said when asked if he felt any relief after the court proceedings finally wrapped up. 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally.' That legal journey began back in 2016, when Jolie filed for divorce after two years of marriage and more than a decade together. What followed was a highly publicised and often acrimonious legal battle, encompassing custody disputes, property disagreements, and, more recently, a contentious fight over their jointly-owned French winery, Chateau Miraval. While the divorce was officially finalised in December 2023, many of the issues between the former couple continued to play out in court, casting a long shadow over both of their careers and public images. The legal proceedings were punctuated by allegations of abuse, which Pitt has denied. Against this backdrop, Pitt has maintained a relatively low profile in recent years, focusing on producing projects through his Plan B production company and working on a select few acting roles. His latest endeavor, F1, is a film in which he stars as a veteran driver mentoring a young rookie. Produced with the cooperation of Formula 1 and directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski, the movie is set to offer a cinematic deep-dive into the world of elite racing. Recently, Pitt appeared at the 2024 British Grand Prix with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, marking their first public appearance as a couple. The timing – shortly after the finalization of his divorce and in the midst of promoting a movie about high-speed reinvention – did not go unnoticed. But Pitt was quick to dismiss the idea that their public debut was a calculated PR move. 'No, dude, it's not that calculated,' he said with a laugh. 'If you're living—oh my God, how exhausting would that be? If you're living with making those kinds of calculations? No, life just evolves. Relationships evolve.' Still, the shadow of his relationship with Jolie looms large. The pair met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2004, a coupling that ignited a media frenzy and ultimately led to the dissolution of Pitt's marriage to Jennifer Aniston. For over a decade, 'Brangelina' was Hollywood royalty—gracing red carpets, engaging in humanitarian work, and raising a blended family of biological and adopted children. Their split stunned fans and quickly turned combative. Jolie accused Pitt of abusive behavior during a 2016 private flight, triggering investigations by the FBI and the Los Angeles Department of Child and Family Services. Pitt was not charged, but the accusations cast a long shadow and fueled a contentious custody battle. More recently, Jolie alleged that Pitt secretly maneuvered to take control of Château Miraval, an estate the two once shared, prompting further lawsuits. Through it all, Pitt has largely avoided public comment – until now. Got a story? EXCLUSIVE Inside love affair between Brad Pitt, 61, and Ines De Ramon, 32, and the heartbreaking reason they won't marry

He has been pictured strolling hand in hand with girlfriend Ines de Ramon and looking utterly infatuated with the 32-year-old jewelry designer – all of which has fueled speculation that Brad Pitt, 61, is planning to marry again. But the Daily Mail can exclusively reveal that the movie megastar won't be hearing wedding bells anytime soon. 'Brad is totally in love with Ines, but he doesn't want to go down the road of marriage and kids,' a source told the Daily Mail. 'He's been burned badly by the divorce from Angelina and his kids wanting little if nothing to do with him. He's 61 and loving his life just the way it is.' Pitt and de Ramon have been dating for more than two years. They made their initial appearance as a couple in November 2022 at a Bono concert. As the couple's relationship strengthens, lingering in the background has been a bitter custody battle for Pitt's six children and a second legal battle over the ownership of his French winery, Chateau Miraval. Still, de Ramon is one bright spot in the veteran actor's life, and she has impressed his friends who are still holding out hope they will wed. 'He has spoken to those close to him, including George [Clooney], and everyone has signed off on him doing it,' the insider revealed. 'It would be a nice thing for him as it would be the official moving on from his romantic past with [Jennifer Aniston] and Angie.' While Pitt finalized his divorce from Angelina Jolie, 49, in December after 10 years of marriage, the custody war remains ongoing and has upended his relationship with his kids. At least five of Pitt's six children are estranged from him, dropping his last name and refusing to see him. It has left him 'devastated,' a source says. According to a close confidant, not even the wildfires that ripped through Los Angeles in January have changed that - he remains 'frozen out' by his children. 'It's not like he's out celebrating [finalizing the divorce],' a source told the Daily Mail shortly after the legal battle concluded. 'Brad said he's tired of Angelina playing the victim role when he's the one who has been stripped of his family, his kids. 'He wants what's best for the kids and radical forgiveness is what needs to happen in order to bring true healing into the equation.' Drama and resentment have both been major features of his split from Jolie. The couple separated in 2016 after they reportedly got into a booze-fueled fight on a private jet. Eldest son Maddox, 22, whom Jolie and Pitt adopted from Vietnam, was allegedly hurt during the altercation when he attempted to protect his mother. According to court papers filed by Jolie last year, the confrontation was one of a series of 'abusive' arguments between the pair – but the first that involved one of their children. The filing, which is part of a second court fight over the $62 million sale of Jolie's Chateau Miraval winery share, read: 'While Pitt's history of physical abuse of Jolie started well before the family's September 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, this flight marked the first time he turned his physical abuse on the children as well. Jolie then immediately left him.' The Maleficent actress also said her ex tried to force her to sign an $8.5 million nondisclosure agreement to cover up his 'years of abuse'. Pitt has always denied the claims of abuse and was cleared by law enforcement following an investigation. The actor was also accused of being a 'world-class a**hole' in a 2020 Instagram rant written by second son Pax and obtained by in November 2023. 'You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell,' Pax added. 'You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want but the truth will come to light someday. 'So Happy Father's Day, you f*****g awful human being.' Pax, who is often seen with his mother, has not been photographed with his dad for several years.
