Madurai: Southern Railway has announced the augmentation of an extra coach in select trains to clear the extra rush during the summer holidays. Madurai: Southern Railway has announced a special train between Dindigul and Nagercoil to provide an alternative for passengers since the railways announced a partial cancellation of the Coimbatore–Nagercoil train this month. The special train will operate five days a week, except Wednesdays and Thursdays. According to a statement from the zonal railway, Train No 06322 Dindigul Junction–Nagercoil Junction Special will leave Dindigul at 3.45 pm, except Wednesdays and Thursdays, from May 5 to 31, and arrive at Nagercoil Junction at 9.05 pm. The train will stop at Ambaturai, Kodaikkanal Road, Sholavandan, Madurai Junction, Tirupparankundram, Tirumangalam, Virudunagar, Sattur, Kovilpatti, Kadambur, Vanchi Maniyachchi, Naraikkinar, Tirunelveli, Nanguneri, and Valliyur. The zonal railway earlier announced the partial cancellation of Train No 16322 Coimbatore Junction–Nagercoil Junction Express between Dindigul and Nagercoil up to May 31 (except on Thursdays) to facilitate track renewal work between Kodaikkanal Road and Vadpatti down line.
