Jeremy Clarkson meets Australia captain Pat Cummins: ‘I've never been a fan of cricket'

Jeremy Clarkson hosted Australia captain Pat Cummins at his Diddly Squat Farm but admitted that he is no fan of cricket. Cummins is gearing up for Australia's World Test Championship final against South Africa at Lord's next week and took the opportunity to visit Clarkson's famous farm in Chipping Norton. The pair also played a game of farmyard cricket, testing a bat that had been made from willow grown on Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm. Cummins, who will lead Australia against England in the Ashes series later this year, bowled at Clarkson's Farm stars Kaleb Cooper and Charlie Ireland in the light-hearted game. Clarkson watched as a spectator-cum-fielder. 'I've watched every episode of Clarkson's Farm and visiting the team from Diddly Squat Farm ahead of training for the World Test Championship final was a real treat,' said Cummins, who owns a farm in New South Wales. 'The life of a farmer is just as chaotic as you see on the show, and I was very impressed with Charlie's idea to grow English cricket bat willow. Thanks to Jeremy and the team for hosting me.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Pat Cummins (@patcummins30) Clarkson said that he relished hosting Cummins, despite his lack of interest in cricket. 'I've never been a fan of cricket,' Clarkson said. 'I always had too much hay fever to know what was going on. But at least now I've found a way to make some money out of it. 'We enjoyed showing Pat around Diddly Squat Farm, after we had Oscar Piastri visit us previously as well. The only non-Australian sportsman who's visited was David Beckham.' The event was arranged by Amazon Prime, who are showing the World Test Championship live in Australia and also broadcast Clarkson's Farm. Australia are the reigning World Test champions, after defeating India in the 2023 final. Their match against South Africa at Lord's begins on Wednesday. Cummins, who has taken 294 Test wickets at an average of 22.4 as well as contributing crucial lower-order runs, is regarded as one of Australia's finest-ever cricketers.

Harriet's farm hand Celebrations looked to be in store Harriet Cowan kept a firm hand on balloons for a barnyard bash in Chipping Norton last weekend. She held on to the balloons, of farm animals and a tractor that resembled Jeremy Clarkson 's beloved Lamborghini. 3 Harriet shot to fame as the new farmhand on the fourth series of Clarkson's Farm on Prime Video last month. With Jeremy unable to call upon Kaleb Cooper 's help, Harriet stepped in and she has put rumours of bad blood with Kaleb to bed. She told BBC Derby: 'Kaleb's amazing. Me and him got on really well. Lead actor Ellis Howard has revealed he and his co-stars, including Michael Socha and Hannah Walters, hit it off from the get-go. At the SXSW festival Ellis said: 'It started in the final round of casting. "I walked in and [co-star] Laquarn Lewis was in an Anne Summers one-piece with his arse hanging out. "Then Hannah Jones walked over in eight-inch heels, and I was like, 'What the f***ing hell? It's ten in the morning in Walthamstow'. 'They crashed into my life, but it felt like something was hot-wired in my brain, like I'd been searching my whole life for a connection, and I did with these two.' Laquarn, who plays Lady Di, added: 'We support each other 24/7, though [in] the WhatsApp group, I'm on 'Do Not Disturb' at the minute!' What It Feels Like For A Girl is on BBC iPlayer now. ‘We get on really well': Clarkson's Farm star Harriet Cowan on Kaleb Cooper

Harriet Cowan, a temporary replacement for farm manager Kaleb Cooper on Jeremy Clarkson 's Diddy Squat farm, has addressed perceived awkwardness between her and Cooper that viewers noticed on the show. Cowan was brought in due to Cooper's touring commitments, leading fans to observe what seemed like Cooper's unimpressed reaction to her arrival. Despite on-screen tensions, Cowan has stated that she and Cooper are now close friends, emphasizing his skill as a farmer and their camaraderie. Viewers have responded positively to Cowan's wit and farming knowledge, with many hoping she will become a permanent member of the Chipping Norton farm team. Cowan, a nurse and social media personality, gained recognition for her farming content on TikTok and her advocacy during farmers' protests against inheritance tax changes.

EXCLUSIVE Diddly Squat farmhand Harriet Cowan's future on Clarkson's Farm REVEALED after TikTok star 'stepped in' to help Jeremy Clarkson while Kaleb Cooper was on tour

The future of Diddly Squat farmhand Harriet Cowan has been revealed after the TikTok star 'stepped in' to help Jeremy Clarkson during the latest series of Clarkson's Farm. Harriet, 24, starred in season four of the Prime Video show, which follows former Top Gear host Jeremy, 65, as he masters the art of farming, after manager Kaleb Cooper, 26, was unable to appear in several episodes. Once Kaleb, who was absent due to touring in his one-man show, returned to Chipping Norton, it wasn't long before Harriet said an emotional goodbye to Jeremy, who told her: 'You saved my life. So, if we get stuck again, can we give you a call?' But MailOnline can reveal that Harriet may not take Jeremy up on his offer as sources close to the programme have confirmed there are 'no plans' for the NHS nurse to return for season five. And viewers shouldn't expect to see Harriet again this series, which includes a further two episodes available to watch on May 30 followed by the final instalment on June 6. Despite her extensive agricultural skills and credibility as a farmer's daughter, it's understood that Harriet will not film anymore scenes for the streamer 'at this stage.' A TV source explained: 'Harriet only came on the show to help Jeremy while Kaleb was on tour. 'She finished filming as soon as he arrived back, leaving Kaleb to the job. 'Jeremy was so grateful for Harriet's hard work and expertise, he will definitely call upon her services in the future whenever he needs an extra pair of hands, but at this stage there are no future plans for her to film Clarkson's Farm.' During their sad goodbye, where the two shared a warm embrace, Jeremy told Harriet: 'So, this is it, you're off back to Derbyshire? 'Well, listen you have been an absolute star, thanks ever so much for everything, you have been absolutely brilliant and best of luck. 'You saved my life, you did, you were brilliant, so listen if we get stuck again can I give you a call, let me rephrase that, when we get stuck again.' Harriet, who's a full-time nurse from Derbyshire, was praised by Jeremy during her time working at his 1,000-acre farm, with the presenter regularly calling her a 'star' and 'completely brilliant' thanks to her agricultural knowledge. The two struck up a father-daughter relationship and would often banter together including when Harriet joked with Jeremy about his bushy eyebrows, which resulted in the social media star trimming his overgrown hairs. MailOnline has approached Prime Video for comment. Harriet, who's a full-time nurse from Derbyshire, was praised by Jeremy during her time working at his 1,000-acre farm, with the presenter regularly calling her a 'star' and 'brilliant' When Kaleb, who has starred on Clarkson's Farm since series one, returned to Diddly Squat after his tour, there was undeniable tension between him and Harriet as they appeared to meet for the first time on camera. And Kaleb wasn't entirely happy with the way the farm had been run in his absence, as he is seen inspecting the land including where Harriet had planted burley. Kaleb worked on the land prior to Jeremy purchasing the farm in 2008 and has since become a breakout star of the Prime Video series, releasing his own books and touring with show, The World According to Kaleb. Clarkson Farm season four follows Jeremy as he locates the venue for pub venture The Farmer's Dog as well as documenting the harsh winter and difficulties farmers face on a daily basis. Harriet's final challenge on Diddly Squat was rehousing a pig, nicknamed by Jeremy 'Harvey Weinstein', who had bullied the rest of the animals, a goodbye the cast did not struggle with. However, as Harriet came to film her final scene, Jeremy added: 'It was now time for another departure from Diddy Squat... and that was a bit sad.'

The new Diddly Squat star who nurses Jeremy Clarkson through all his farm foul-ups is spotted in her real job... as a nurse!

From grappling with pigs and tractors to good-natured squabbling with his boss Jeremy Clarkson, Kaleb Cooper was undoubtedly the breakout star of Clarkson's Farm. But as its fourth series got under way on Friday, viewers of the hugely popular Prime Video show learnt that there's an unlikely new Diddly Squat farmhand in town – a TikTok star called Harriet Cowan, who is also a full-time nurse. These pictures show 24-year-old Ms Cowan arriving for work at her hospital in Derbyshire this week, 100 miles from the farm in Chipping Norton. Dressed in her smart blue uniform with a navy cardigan and NHS lanyard, and getting out of a pristine white SUV, her day job is a world away from the boggy fields and hedgerows of Diddly Squat. But just like her predecessor Mr Cooper, she is more than qualified to help Clarkson run the 1,000-acre farm he bought in 2008. As a farmer's daughter, she has broadcast her extensive agricultural skills to her 38,000 followers on the video-sharing app – from driving tractors to planting fields and tending to the animals. On Friday's show, viewers were surprised to learn that 26-year-old Mr Cooper, Clarkson's farm manager, would not be appearing in several episodes of the series after a tour for his one-man show clashed with filming On Friday's show, viewers were surprised to learn that 26-year-old Mr Cooper, Clarkson's farm manager, would not be appearing in several episodes of the series after a tour for his one-man show clashed with filming. It leaves Clarkson running the farm on his own, and sees him hiring a freelance contractor – Ms Cowan – to help. Perfectly groomed with impeccable make-up and false eyelashes, blonde Ms Cowan nonchalantly claims she's 'never seen' the show. But she wastes no time getting stuck in, proving to be a dab agricultural hand. She fences a pig pen, plants barley in the fields, spreads fertiliser, trims the hedges – and even makes an attempt to trim Clarkson's unruly eyebrows. She also supplies him with no end of common-sense advice and fixes his tractor. It all prompts Clarkson to remark: 'Those eyelashes, and what she's doing, don't necessarily go together do they?' She is likely to prove more than a match for the venerable Clarkson. At one point, as he gives her a tour of the site, which includes a 4,000-year-old Neolithic fort, she quips: 'Nearly as old as you?' And she causes him visible irritation when he tells her Mr Cooper is on tour and is famous 'like Julian Clary or Lenny Henry' – and she claims she has no idea who they are. Clarkson goes on to praise her for being 'a star' and 'completely brilliant' thanks to her farming knowledge. Harriet, whose father runs her family farm and whose mother is also a nurse, has a nursing degree from the University of Derby The young TikTok star has also been a leading voice in the young farmer's movement, and has used her social media following to campaign against Labour's changes to inheritance tax rules for family farms Harriet, whose father runs her family farm and whose mother is also a nurse, has a nursing degree from the University of Derby. Clarkson's Farm has become one of the most watched series in the UK on Prime Video, and has been praised for raising the profile of British farming. It has also launched Mr Cooper's career. He was already working on the land when Clarkson bought it, and has now written three books. It seems that Ms Cowan, too, may well follow suit.
