Priyanka Chopra Says Malti Loves Rosé's ‘APT', Calls Jonas Brothers ‘Donut Brothers'
Last Updated: Priyanka Chopra Jonas reveals daughter Malti's adorable nickname for Jonas Brothers and her love for karate, Bruno Mars and Rosé's music. Priyanka Chopra Jonas may be jet-setting around the world promoting her upcoming film Heads of State, but at home, it's her daughter Malti Marie who's truly the boss. During her June 19 appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actress shared sweet anecdotes about her 3-year-old daughter and her growing personality. While promoting her Prime Video action comedy Heads of State, Chopra Jonas revealed that Malti has quite the taste in music. '[Bruno Mars and Rosé's] 'APT' is her favourite song, by the way," she told Fallon, smiling. But what caught fans' attention most was the hilarious nickname Malti has come up with for her father Nick Jonas' band. 'She doesn't identify them, but she calls them the Donut Brothers," Priyanka laughed. Chopra Jonas and husband Nick Jonas welcomed Malti via surrogate in January 2022. Since then, both stars have been candid about their parenting journey. In a 2023 Elle interview, Priyanka admitted, 'I don't even know how I'll ever discipline her because I just don't have it in me… I was so close to losing her so many times that she can get away with anything, and I just want to see her happy." Nick also opened up about Malti's busy schedule on Live with Kelly and Mark. 'She's in nursery school here in New York. She's got her little friend group… These toddler schedules are way more intense than mine," he joked. While soccer wasn't a hit, karate certainly is. 'She's really taken to karate. They get in their outfits and just say, 'hi-ya' — but she's loving it," Nick shared, emphasising how much he values Malti's stable environment and friendships. Despite her A-list status, Chopra Jonas has often acknowledged the emotional challenges of motherhood. 'Every single day you worry about what you can do wrong… But I look at her smile, and I'm like, 'Okay, I'm doing good so far.' It's the greatest thing I've ever done, but it's extremely scary," she told PEOPLE. Priyanka is currently promoting Heads of State, co-starring Idris Elba and John Cena, set to release on Prime Video on July 2, 2025. First Published:

Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas Reveal the Strict Rule They Have for Daughter Malti — & How She Found a Loophole
When they aren't busy lighting up the red carpet, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are just regular parents. In fact, they even have a bit of a strict vibe, if one of their parenting rules is anything to go by. The power couple revealed one hard-and-fast rule they have for 3-year-old daughter Malti Marie — and the quick-thinking toddler has already found a way around it. In an interview at the Met Gala on Monday, the Citadel star told Vogue India the rule they have for Malti: no TV on a school night. Pretty harsh for a girl who isn't even old enough for kindergarten! More from SheKnows Anne Hathaway Is Doing This Very Unglamorous Mom Task After the Met Gala 'I might have had to tell her that she can watch a movie today,' Chopra Jonas told Vogue. 'It's Monday — weekdays we can't watch movies, it's just for the weekends,' she explained. But when the parents aren't home, rules are meant to be broken. In the interview, the mom of one revealed what happened when she told her daughter, 'Mama and Daddy were going to the ball.' 'Like Cinderella …' Malti quickly replied, hinting about wanting to watch the Disney movie. It's solid logic! If they get to go to a ball, she should get to watch a ball on TV. Chopra Jonas laughed and added, 'So I was like, you can watch Cinderella today.' Aww! It's good to know they aren't too strict with their daughter. In the interview, the Jonas Brothers star also opened up about going out as parents. 'Our daughter was around today while we were getting ready,' Jonas said. 'And you know, we're going to be checking in [with her sitter] throughout the night. We're having fun.' The 'Jealous' singer also shared several pictures from the Met Gala, with his and Chopra Jonas's coordinating black-and-white looks. In one, someone holds Malti up to get a better look at her mom as she is getting ready. The toddler looks adorable with a red dress, white tights, and white shoes as she gazes at her mama. 'Date night ❤️,' Jonas captioned the photo carousel. In an interview with PEOPLE in March, The Last Five Years star opened up about balancing fame and fatherhood. 'The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff — and this is hardly work — is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn't care at all,' he said at JonasCon. 'She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, and that means more to me than anything else, is that time with her,' he continued. 'And just the fact that I'm just Dad when I'm home, it means a lot.'Best of SheKnows Recent Baby & Toddler Product Recalls Every Parent and Caregiver Should Know About Celebrity Moms Who Were Honest About Miscarriage & Pregnancy Loss — Because It Matters All of the Most Iconic Pregnancy Looks at the Met Gala Over the Years
