EastEnders confirms Elaine's future with exciting new job after the Vic

EastEnders' Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) may no longer be the landlady of The Vic, but she's back behind a bar with the most unlikely of partners next week. Forthcoming scenes on the BBC soap will see Elaine offered a new job by none other than her sworn enemy Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins). Yes, you read that correctly. The shock offer is set to come as Elaine begins to struggle after she and daughter Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) sold off the Vic to Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) earlier this month. As she pops in her former home for a drink, Elaine confides in her friend Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter) that she misses the boozer during an emotional heart-to-heart. Shortly afterwards, her prayers appear to be answered when she finds herself behind the bar of The Albert. Elaine joins forces with Cindy, who has been struggling with staffing since the departure of Felix Baker (Matthew James Morrison) last month, during a busy night of service. Grateful for Elaine's help, Cindy stuns her by offering her the job of co-manager of the place. Will Elaine accept? Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? Elaine has resented Cindy's presence in the Square since her return from the dead in 2023, as Cindy was still carrying a torch for her ex-husband – Elaine's other half, George Knight (Colin Salmon). More Trending But with Elaine currently in the process of divorcing George, does Cindy's offer signal a truce between the two women? Cindy, along with her husband Leo and son Jack, left Vietnam to move to U.S., which granted them visas in 2022. Rare Female Orange Kitten Survives Perilous Freeway Crossing and Finds Her Forever Family

Rare Female Orange Kitten Survives Perilous Freeway Crossing and Finds Her Forever Family originally appeared on PetHelpful. Although most people, in theory, would never hesitate to drop everything to help an animal in need, few people actually get the chance to put their money where their mouth is. Rescuing an animal can often require eagle-eyed attention to detail and a split-second decision—especially while driving—which is why it's not always easy or possible to step up. This is precisely what new cat mom Cindy and her boyfriend experienced on July 14 when they spotted a tiny kitten running across a busy freeway. Without hesitating, they pulled over to the shoulder of the road, and her boyfriend got out of the car to find and grab the runaway kitten. Talk about a sigh of relief! Not only was I holding my breath for the lost kitten and their dangerous dodging act, but I was also incredibly nervous for Cindy and her boyfriend. Getting out of the car on the freeway is so scary, but thankfully, everyone returned to the car unscathed. "OMG, it breaks my heart when kitties get on the highway," one viewer commented. "They get rescued, but OMG, it's just so dangerous." You can say that again! At one point or another, most drivers have had to slam on the brakes to avoid an animal that dashed into the road, so it's easy to see just how treacherous the streets can be for animals. All risks aside, how sweet is it that Cindy practically manifested a kitten for herself? Just before rescuing this baby, she'd been talking about how she wanted a pet cat to keep her company in her apartment. And now, she has one! Female Orange Cats Not only was this orange kitty rare because she crossed the freeway unharmed, but she is also rare because she is a female orange cat! The vast majority of orange cats are male, though few cat parents know why. Because the gene that gives cats an orange fur color is a recessive gene that comes from the X chromosome, two copies of the gene are necessary for orange to be the main fur color. Males have XX chromosomes, which makes this result much more likely. Genetic mutations can occur that result in an orange coat on a female cat's XY chromosomes, but this is quite rare. Clearly, Cindy hit the jackpot with her rescued kitten, whom she named Nala, and Nala hit the jackpot with her, too!

Cindy Crawford jokes her daughter Kaia Gerber is 'traumatised' by her nude photoshoots and reveals she displayed them in her family home

Cindy Crawford has joked that her daughter Kaia Gerber is 'traumatised' by her nude photoshoots. The runway star, 59, was no stranger to a racy photoshoot in her 1980s modelling heyday and has posed nude countless times in her decades-long career. However, she has now revealed what her children Kaia, 23, and Presley, 26 - who she shares with her husband Rande Gerber - think of her nude photographs. Speaking on the Reclaiming with Monica Lewinsky podcast, Cindy shared that she has some tasteful nude pictures of herself hung on the walls in her home. 'There were nude pictures of me in our house that I never explained to my kids,' she admitted. 'Once in a while, one of my kids will make a comment, like, ''we just thought it was normal that your mum was nude''...' 'There's a famous picture of me, Christy [Turlington], Naomi [Campbell], Linda [Evangelista], and Tatjana [Patitza],' she said of one piece of artwork in her home. 'You don't see anything - it wasn't like, hey, here's mum in all her glory! We didn't have those pictures out, but look, I'm sure my kids are traumatised - like every kid is.' Cindy said having a family changed her perspective on doing nude photoshoots and ditched the raunchy content before she tied the knot with Rande in 1998 aged 32. 'I did stop doing nudes before we got married. I don't really think I've done anything nude again,' she explained. 'And I've been asked afterwards, but I definitely thought: I don't know if my nine-year-old kid wants to get teased by his friends.' Though her decades-long career including a string of nude photographs, Cindy candidly admitted the one she regretted because she felt manipulated into doing it. 'Every experience is a lesson, and that's where we grow up - making those choices,' she said. 'I've done a tonne of nude pictures. The only one I regret ever is the one I got talked into. Every other one, I knew what I was doing. I did Playboy with Herb [Ritts] twice.' But sharing one occasion she looks back on differently, she added: 'I felt manipulated into it. That's the only one that I look at, and I was hurt.' 'It's not even the most revealing picture of me by far, but when I look at it, I know what I was feeling,' she explained. On the other hand, Cindy revealed she always felt 'comfortable' and '100 per cent safe' working with photographer Herb, who died of pneumonia aged 50 in 2002. 'Once you've done a naked picture, then people think, oh, she does nudes, but it's not that way. It has to be right. The chemistry has to be right,' she went on. 'I have to feel comfortable. With Herb, I felt 100% safe and not sexualised. He looked at people like architecture. So I could do it with him. 'I did it with straight guys too, but just certain people maybe give you a weird vibe, and I had one. And I just didn't know how to say no - or didn't say no.' Cindy is preparing to celebrate her 60th birthday in February and recently gave an insight into her self-care routine. She launched her skincare range Meaningful Beauty over 20 years ago with French doctor Jean-Louis Sebagh, and dished on her favourite products to maintain her flawless glow. 'When you feel good about yourself and feel confident, you hold your head a little higher and that's what people really see,' she told People, noting a key ingredient in the range is Charentais cantaloupe extract. Cindy said she swears by Meaningful Beauty's sun-protectant moisturizer, which has anti-aging properties. 'It melts into the skin, so it works great under makeup,' she explained of the winning formula. 'My goal is for women to be less overwhelmed by skincare. Our systems make it easy to get the best ingredients all in one place.' Cindy and Sebagh's range of skin-enhancing products debuted in 2004, and in 2021, expanded to include haircare items. An Instagram tagline describes the company as Cindy's 'breakthrough secret to younger looking skin and hair.' 'A lot of women don't really start taking care of their skin until they start noticing those signs of aging. I think that was the same for hair for me,' she told People at the time.
