Meet the Indian couple whose baraat shut down Wall Street: All you need to know about them

Image credits: X/@NELiveTV Recently, videos of a baraat shutting down the streets of the New York Stock Exchange went viral on the internet from people across the world being shocked by the typically bustling streets of NYC being filled with 400 people dressed in Indian attires dancing to music. The video of the crowd grooving outside Cipriani Wall Street was shared by DJ AJ on his Instagram account. "We shut down Wall Street for a 400-person Baraat. Who would've ever thought?!" While people were surprised to see the entire scene, what they were more intrigued about were the couple whose wedding procession took over the NYC- who they were and how rich they would be to block down blocks of the city for their wedding baraat? Here's all you need to know about the Indian couple whose baraat 'shut down' Wall Street. The couple who were deemed to be some sort of 'millionaires' by half the people viewing the videos of their wedding baraat were identified as Varun Navani, CEO of enterprise AI platform Rolai and Amanda Soll, director of legal compliance and risk management, according to their LinkedIn pages. Additionally, the NYPost confirmed their identities by their wedding page on The Knot, which had details of their four-day wedding celebration. While the high-power couple hails from Boston, Massachusetts, they decided to tie the knot in NYC not only breaking the internet but most probably also their bank. As per the city records viewed by The Post, Navani and Soll filed 28 permits for their wedding day, thus spending somewhere between $25,000 and $66,000 per location to shut down the streets of the Financial District. The street events are classified by the Mayor's Office on the basis of the area they take over-curbs, sidewalks and roads and by size and impact. While "large" events require full block closure and extensive setup, "extra-large" events need even more space, permits and NYPD coordination. Navani and Soll's wedding festivities began on May 23rd, with breakfast and afternoon tea at the Conrad Hotel and a sangeet at The Glasshouse. On the 24th, the day began with brunch and tea at the Conrad, before the baraat started off at 3:30 pm, followed by a reception at the Cipriani Wall Street that had guests dancing from 5:30 pm to 2 am. That's not all, on the 25th, the couple had another wedding, this time a Jewish one, at Cipriani and an after-party at Slate that was going on till 4 am. Lastly, on the 26th, they wrapped up the festivities with a post-wedding brunch and lunch at Conrad. The couple's wedding surely had been grasping their chains on its expenditure and others relishing in the fun of two people joining hands forever.

Victoria Beckham's ‘inappropriate' act left Brooklyn Beckham's wife Nicola Peltz ‘in tears' at their wedding

The Beckham family feud rumors continue to gain steam. The rumors first began that Brooklyn Beckham was on the outs with his family when his younger brother, Romeo, reportedly began dating his ex-girlfriend, Kim. In a new report, published Thursday by People, a source close to the family spoke about how Victoria Beckham acted at Brooklyn's 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. They told the publication that Victoria had 'ruined' the couple's first dance together during their reception, causing Nicola to leave 'in tears.' 'Marc Anthony, who is a friend of the Beckhams, offered to perform as a gift at the wedding,' the source said. 'Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, 'The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on Beckham!'' The source then claimed Nicola 'felt that Victoria ruined her wedding, and couldn't understand why.' A second source clarified that the entire room went silent after hearing Victoria's name being called, instead of the bride's. 'It was such a jaw-dropping moment that it left the whole room in absolute shock — you could hear a pin drop,' they told People. The wedding guests continued to look shocked as Victoria and Brooklyn began slow dancing. 'It wasn't appropriate,' a source claimed, adding that they later saw 'Nicola run from the room crying.' 'Nicola felt like Victoria did this on purpose, when she knew it was a pre-planned romantic dance meant for Brooklyn and Nicola. What she couldn't understand was why.' The Independent has reached out to representatives for Victoria, Brooklyn, and Nicola for comment. The news comes a few days after Brooklyn posted on Instagram about 'always choosing' his wife. 'My whole world x I will love you forever x I always choose you baby x you're the most amazing person I know xx me and you forever baby,' he captioned his post from Sunday. A number of his followers have interpreted his comment as a reference to the supposed feud, with one person remarking: 'If that was my son saying that, knowing what the post is about, I would be devastated.' The aspiring photographer/chef/wine influencer was believed to be feuding with his brother, Romeo, which in turn is said to have affected his relationship with their famous parents. Brooklyn and Nicola seemingly skipped David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations in London earlier this month, while the party was attended by other family members, including Romeo and his younger siblings Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13. Brooklyn and Nicola also missed a black-tie affair thrown for David in March at Cipriani Downtown Miami in March, and Victoria's Paris Fashion Week show in April.

Sophia Bush appears to be wearing a wedding band when with girlfriend Ashlyn Harris at a gala

Sophia Bush and her girlfriend Ashlyn Harris made a stylish duo while attending the 2025 American Ballet Theatre Spring Gala in New York City on Wednesday. The One Tree Hill star, 42, and the former soccer player, 39, matched in black looks for the star-studded event, held at Cipriani. Sophia — who recently sparked engagement rumors with Ashlyn — showed off her toned arms and flashed a hint of her midriff in a black dress with a slit along the torso. She accessorized with statement silver earrings and a chic clutch. She also appeared to have a wedding band on her ring finger. Meanwhile Ashlyn opted for an oversized black blazer with a low-cut black top underneath and matching pants. She wore black gloves on her hands while posing with her arm around Sophia. Sophia and Ashlyn — who previously denied cheating on her ex-wife with Sophia — publicly confirmed their romance in April 2024 when the actress came out as queer and revealed she was in love with the soccer star. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Earlier this month Ashlyn gushed about Sophia while appearing on the Second Wind podcast. 'What I love so much about her is she makes me feel the way I only thought we read about in books,' she said. 'She holds up a mirror and makes me feel like I'm the best human, I'm the best mother, and it's exactly what I needed and what I need to heal so much pain and trauma and grief in my life.' Harris co-parents two adopted children - daughter Sloane, 4; and son Ocean, 2 - with estranged wife Ali Krieger, whom she filed for divorce from in September 2023 after four years of marriage. Meanwhile Sophia finalized her divorce from second husband Grant Hughes in January. She filed for divorce from him in August 2023 after 13 months of marriage. Bush and the Wide Open podcaster began dating in October 2023, but they spoke on the same feminist panel during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity in June 2023. Rumors began swirling immediately that Harris was already dating Bush with some claiming she had cheated on Krieger. Harris broke her silence in November to deny cheating on her ex-wife in a lengthy statement. 'People have run with a narrative that's unbearably painful,' she said. 'Not all marriages last forever. Our did not. For many reasons. And while I understand that the false narrative about why might feel juicer or make a batter [sic] headline, they are simply not true. 'Let me be clear: I did not step out on my marriage. I was always faithful in my marriage, if not always totally happy. Like in many partnerships, there was work and therapy and processing done. None of this happened on a whim.' Sophia and Ashlyn publicly confirmed their romance in April 2024 when the actress came out as queer and revealed she was in love with the soccer star In February they sparked engagement rumors, after Sophia was seen flashing a ring on her wedding finger. She sported an ornate gold and silver ring as she posed at the TIME Women of the Year Gala in West Hollywood. Speaking to Glamour magazine last year, Bush revealed in her own words that she now identifies as queer: 'I feel like I can finally breathe,' she said. And the Chicago PD actress admitted that she is indeed 'in love' with Harris whom she became friends with in 2019 then started a romantic relationship with in October 2023 after her marriage with Grant fell apart and Ashlyn left her wife. 'I didn't expect to find love in this support system,' began the star who noted that her bond with Harris was rare and beautiful. 'I don't know how else to say it other than: I didn't see it until I saw it.' As far as falling for Ashlyn, she said it was a new frontier. 'And I think it's very easy not to see something that's been in front of your face for a long time when you'd never looked at it as an option and you had never been looked at as an option,' she shared. 'What I saw was a friend with her big, happy life. And now I know she thought the same thing about me,' said the star. Bush added that the road to her romantic relationship with Harris was long after they met in 2019 and spent years becoming friends: 'People looking in from the outside weren't privy to just how much time it took, how many painful conversations were had,' said Sophia. 'A lot of effort was made to be graceful with other people's processing, their time and obligations, and their feelings.' Wednesday's ballet gala was also attended by Alec Baldwin, 67, and wife Hilaria, 41. The yoga instructor put her toned legs on display in a black and white sleeveless mini dress. She added height to her look with a pair of black heels. Meanwhile Alec looked handsome in a black suit. The pair looked in good spirits, despite the fact that their reality TV show, The Baldwins, has not yet been renewed for a second season, after it was blasted by critics as being a 'snoozy infomercial.'

Priscilla Presley's Legal Battle ‘Dragging Her Down' as She Prepares to Celebrate Her 80th Birthday

Priscilla Presley is on the precipice of 80 and a source exclusively tells Closer she'll be celebrating the massive milestone alongside granddaughter Riley Keough and plenty of other extended family members of the Graceland clan, despite a dark cloud of legal woes threatening to rain on and ruin her special day. 'At this point, Riley just wants to spend as much time with Priscilla as she can,' the insider says. 'She's very aware that the time is ticking, and she feels lucky to still have her around and in such good health.' As Priscilla gears up to become an octogenarian on May 24, the source says her granddaughter is 'planning to spoil her for her birthday and make sure she knows how loved she is.' Last year, the former wife of Elvis donned a chic all-black look while out with friends for a swanky dinner at the Cipriani restaurant in California. At the time, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC was attempting to foreclose and auction off pieces of Graceland, with Riley, 35, and her grandma fighting the mysterious investment firm tooth and nail in Tennessee courts. Ultimately, a judge ruled in favor of the Presley family, declaring the property was 'special' to the state and thus should not be partitioned. The Naked Gun star will unfortunately still be embroiled in a legal battle this year, but this time she's trying to reclaim up to $1 million from ex business associate and antique dealer Brigitte Kruse, alleging she's a "con artist and pathological liar" who "fraudulently induced" Elvis' ex into signing a deal that gave Kruse and partners 80 percent of her income. Kruse denied the accusation and countersued, claiming she actually helped improve Priscilla's financial position. The result is still pending, but the stress has already become real to the parties involved. 'Priscilla is fighting in court to get money back she says was stolen from her by a woman she foolishly trusted,' the insider says. While the legal fight rages on, its effects are far reaching and more than a little upsetting for both Priscilla and Riley. 'Just talking about it gets her so upset because she feels she was taken advantage of,' the source continues. 'They haven't gone to trial yet, but it's consuming a lot of her time and energy and dragging her down, so Riley is doing what she can to help her stay in a more positive headspace.' After the tragic death of Lisa Marie Presley in January 2023, the distribution of her estate quickly devolved into a civil dispute between Riley and her grandmother that would last until May of the same year, when they finally settled. The source notes that even though they had their own tiff, they're still close and Riley is 100 percent in Priscilla's corner regarding her suit against her former advisor. 'It's no secret that Riley and Priscilla had their own legal battle after Lisa Marie died, but it has all been worked out and there are no hard feelings.'
