The agency confirmed his passing on Tuesday, 27 May, though they have not revealed what caused his death. A funeral altar has been prepared at Gimpo Woori Hospital and reportedly, the late actor will be laid to rest at Suwon Yeonhwa Park. Choi Jung-woo built a distinguished career spanning nearly five decades after making his theatrical debut in 1975. In a brief statement sent to the press, the label confirmed Choi passed away on Tuesday, May 27, but did not disclose the cause of death. In this 2011 drama, Choi portrayed a businessman running a chemical company and hospital who has participated in planning the North Korea mission. The late actor also appeared in the films Two Cops 2, Sympathy For Lady Vengeance and The Tyrant , as well as in the series Doctor Stranger, Master's Sun and The Legend Of The Blue Sea . In 1990, Choi received the Grand Prize (Daesang) at the Seoul Theater Festival.
