Miley Cyrus takes cheeky swipe at ex-husband Liam Hemsworth after bitter divorce

Miley Cyrus took a cheeky swipe at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth during a fan interaction this week. The Climb hitmaker, 32, was married to the Australian actor, 35, from 2018 to 2020, but things ended abrupty 10 years into their relationship. In 2023 Miley burst back onto the scene with her fist-pumping, Grammy Award-winning Flowers, which included heavy nods to Liam and celebrated single life. Now, a fan has taken to social media with an amusing story about meeting Miley at a recent album signing. Posting a photo of Miley's scrawl on a vinyl of her album Something Beautiful, which dropped on May 30, X user Liam explained: 'Miley writing 'the best Liam' on my vinyl.' Taking this as a nod to her ex-husband, many fans said on how 'real' the Angels Like You hitmaker is for comment. 'Lol she's so real for that,' said @Pstigger, while @anth0nvy said: 'I love this woman so much.' 'This is HILARIOUS,' commented @1975XO, as @anabiebsmiler wrote: 'HAHAHAHA WHAT AN ICON.' Fans were shocked when Liam and Miley announced their split in August 2019, just seven months after tying the knot. Both have moved on since in relationships kept largely out of the public eye, as Miley has been with Lilly drummer Maxx Morando since 2021, while Hemsworth has been seeing model Gabriella Brooks for even longer. 'Everyone close to Miley says Maxx brings out the best in her,' a source told US weekly of their relationship recently. 'They work very well as a team,' the source shared. 'Maxx shares the same passion for music, and he's one of Miley's biggest cheerleaders.' In August 2019, Cyrus shared a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter, where she explained why she and the Hunger Games actor ended their relationship. 'Liam and I have been together for a decade,' she wrote. 'I've said it before & it remains true, I love Liam and always will. BUT at this point I had to make a healthy decision for myself to leave a previous life behind. 'I am the healthiest and happiest I have been in a long time. You can say I am a twerking, pot smoking, foul-mouthed hillbilly but I am not a liar. I am proud to say, I am simply in a different place from where I was when I was younger.' Meanwhile, Liam wrote: 'Hi all. Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Having previously attributed the untangling of her relationship with Liam to her Malibu house burning down in November 2018, just a month before their wedding, Miley recently reflected on this time again. 'When my house burned down, that was the biggest blessing I've ever had in my life, actually,' the star said during a Q&A at her Something Beautiful event earlier this month, according to People. 'Losing everything and being able to rebuild, and to be able to be purposeful and choose every piece that I'm gonna collect or also just about the people in my life. 'And I guess for me, when my house burned down, a lot of my relationships also burned down, and that again just led me to such magic and to have so much gratitude.' Got a story? Joe McElderry unrecognisable on beach holiday as one photo leaves fans surprised

Joe McElderry caused excitement among his fanbase when they questioned if his latest topless holiday snap included less clothing than expected and if the star was posing nude Joe McElderry has been lapping up the sun - and splashing along the beach - while on an early summer holiday. The 33-year-old former X Factor winner is sunning himself on the Caribbean island of Barbados. However, he sparked a frenzy of speculation about exactly how much of his body he would be tanning while enjoying his time in the sun. Since arriving on the Island, Joe has been sharing photos and video clips via Instagram. ‌ And one image that he shared drew the attention of fans, as there was at least an illusion that he was sitting on a sun chair while completely naked. The singer shared a couple of snaps from a beachside balcony wit his arms and legs positioned in a way so as to cover any clothes that he was sporting. ‌ Clearly topless, some fans questioned if he was also bare from the waste down too. He uploaded the snaps to his main feed with a simple caption stating: "Here" along with a sun emoji. One curious fan reacted to the post and asked: "Have you got shorts on?" Another fan also wondered if the singer was nude, writing in response: "I had to look twice" along with eyes emojis. Another post from the star showed him smiling while sitting at a beach-side table - and he also shared videos of the ocean, and a walk along the sandy beach. Fans were also excited to see Joe showing off his muscular physique as he enjoyed himself in the sunshine. The star has been working out to prepare for a role. The Climb singer previously explained he had been working out with former Miss Universe finalist Caroline Dixon and following a strict diet. He told Fabulous magazine: "Most of the stuff we do is killer, but in a weird way I really enjoy it." ‌ He added: "I'm a really active person and I've done lots of charity bike rides." Joe, from South Shields, beat runner-up Olly to win the ITV show's sixth series and competed against Rage Against the Machine for that year's UK Christmas number one. Ultimately, the rap metal group's 1992 song Killing In The Name Of made it to the top spot after music fans downloaded it en masse in protest against the show. However, this did not stop Joe from going on to have an illustrious career. His cover of Biffy Clyro's hit song did eventually make it to number one, and he went on to be the first X Factor contestant to release a fourth album. He has seen five of his albums break the UK top 20, and two reached the top three. ‌ It was after his success as a recording artist that Joe turned to theatre. As well as starring in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, he has appeared in productions like Cinderella and, in 2023 and 2024, a pantomime version of Pinocchio. In this production at the Royal Theatre Newcastle, he took on the role of Jiminy Cricket. The X Factor last aired on TV in 2018, before going on a hiatus. X Factor producer Simon Cowell is currently working on the sixteenth series of BGT. Tt's been claimed that he is contracted to be head judge on the show until 2025. It has also been reported that he could move to rival broadcaster Channel 5 for other projects. It's teased he could develop new shows or even revive the likes of the X Factor. Discussing the possibility, a source told the Sun that it would be a "huge move" for Simon, who has carved out a career in TV through the likes of the X Factor and BGT on ITV. The source further commented: "It would effectively see him turn his back on ITV after two decades which has seen him deliver them two of their biggest hits. There's a strong sense that one chapter is ending and another beginning and Channel 5 are keen to be a part of that. But they'd need to nail down a seven-figure contract to seal the deal to bring him across."

Climb Credit Supports Student Repayment Outcomes and Improves Enrollment Process with Integrated Deposit Feature

NEW YORK, NY, May 15, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Climb Credit, a leading student lending platform focused on skills education, today announced the launch of its new deposit collection feature, designed to give career-training schools greater control over enrollment and repayment outcomes—without adding operational overhead. The feature enables schools to automatically collect and track student deposit payments through a seamless workflow integrated with the loan process. Once a student is approved for a Climb loan and accepts their offer, they receive an automated prompt to submit their school's required deposit, with all payment tracking managed in Climb's School Portal. 'Deposits are a key signal of student commitment, but schools have traditionally had to manage them separately from the loan process,' said Casey Powers, CEO of Climb Credit. 'With this launch, we've streamlined deposit collection for schools and simplified the experience for students—reducing friction and accelerating enrollment. Initial data from schools collecting deposits shows a 46–48% decrease* in the likelihood of borrower default for lower credit borrowers. This improvement is attributed not only to the upfront financial commitment, but also to a smoother path into auto-pay enrollment. When students submit deposits via bank transfer, those details can be automatically linked to Climb's loan servicing platform—making it easier to activate auto-pay and receive a 0.25% interest rate reduction.** The new feature is fully integrated into Climb's lending platform, meaning schools no longer need to manually invoice students or track payments across systems. Adjusting individual deposit amounts, verifying funding status, and accessing real-time student-level data can all be done through Climb's School Portal. This launch adds to Climb's growing suite of products aimed at improving access, outcomes, and operational efficiency for career training providers—particularly in healthcare, skilled trades, and technology. *Data calculated through an assessment or repayment performance on loans from 2Q23 to Q12025 with and without a deposit requirement. Assessment included Climb advance loans without a full deferment period and borrower FICO scores below 660. Data was collected across market segments including programs in Computer Sciences, Healthcare, IT, and Trade Schools. **The 0.25% auto-pay interest rate reduction applies as long as a valid bank account is designated for required monthly payments. This discount only applies to interest-bearing products, not 0%interest financing products. Climb encourages students to do thorough research in selecting a training program that meets their unique needs.
