A £10 bonus is being sent to the accounts of those who used the "turn £5 into £20" trick in July. The post reads: "If you used the 'turn £5 into £20" Tesco Clubcard trick last month, have you received your £10 worth of bonus points yet? "Some at MSE Towers have just got theirs, so go check!" The £10 bonus is being dished out in the form of 1,000 points to shoppers' Clubcards. The experts added: "Not got yours yet? Don't worry - Tesco told us that it'll add the 1,000 bonus points to accounts of those who used the trick by Sunday 19 October, so there is still plenty of time." However, happy customers have been quick to comment that the points have already hit their accounts. Unfortunately the deadline to get the deal was July 29 so those who missed it won't be able to bag the bonus. This generous offering marks Tesco's celebration of 30 years of rewards. The popular store announced last month that it would be offering its customers £10 worth of points by simply exchanging £5 of Clubcard Vouchers with one of Tesco's Days Out Reward Partners. I'm 5ft3 & a size 12-14 - my 7 Tesco dresses are an absolute bargain & perfect for a last-minute wedding guest outfit Shoppers could choose from more than 100 exciting days out from Highland Safaris in Scotland to the Eden Project in Cornwall. Other big name attraction Reward Partners included Alton Towers Resort and the LEGOLAND Windsor resort. Tesco Group Membership and Loyalty Director Shama Wilson said: 'To celebrate 30 years of Clubcard rewards, we are offering an amazing £10 of points back when you spend on days out. "It means you can exchange your vouchers and get great savings while getting £10 of points in return to go towards your weekly shop or even another great day out later in the year.' Last month, The Sun reported that another popular supermarket launched a new subscription service aimed at online grocery shoppers. The service aims to give customers the chance to save money on delivery fees. The scheme, called the Waitrose Delivery Pass, is now available across the UK after a successful trial. It allows shoppers to pay a fixed amount upfront for deliveries, either monthly, six-monthly, or annually, through the Waitrose website or app. Without a pass, delivery slots cost between £2 and £4 each. But with the new scheme, a one-month pass will cost £8, a six-month pass is £45, and a 12-month pass comes in at £85. Waitrose says the annual plan could save customers up to £123 a year if they order once a week using a £4 slot. Morrisons is also offering shoppers the opportunity to make big savings in a huge change to its loyalty scheme. Customers can now earn More Points even when they're not shopping at the supermarket– thanks to a brand-new perk that launched in May. Morrisons More Card holders can collect points with over 300 popular brands including eBay, Just Eat, Expedia, Asos, Very, and loads more. Once 5,000 More Points are collected, shoppers will be handed a £5 voucher – better known as a Morrisons Fiver – to redeem on their next shop in store or online.

Clubcard members are offered specific spending targets, or challenges, to complete within a set time frame to earn the extra points. The latest round of Clubcard Challenges will run until Sunday, August 3. Customers have now been selected for the challenges and have been notified with the latest round going live on Monday, June 23. The offer is tailored to an individual's needs and can align perfectly with some people's typical shopping list. One shopper shared on Facebook: "This will be my second time, I got the full £50 back today just from buying what I usually buy." Another added: "I managed to get £32 in the latest one!" Many shoppers have embraced the scheme and see it as a simple way to stack up points on their everyday purchases. How does Tesco's Clubcard work? Tesco's Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, these points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes. When you spend £1 in-store or online, you get one point when you scan your card or app at the checkout. Drivers using Clubcards now get one point for every two litres spent on fuel. You can also double their worth when you swap them for discounts with "reward partners". For example, you can turn your vouchers into a 3 month Disney+ Standard With Ads subscription. To do this, select £7.50 of Clubcard vouchers to get a 3 month Standard With Ads Disney+ subscription. Tesco fans are set to love the latest items in stores for 25 per cent off when you use clubcard Tesco shoppers can also get Clubcard prices when they have the loyalty card. While the bonuses and discounts are appealing, consumer groups have advised caution. Such schemes, though tempting, can encourage shoppers to overspend in pursuit of rewards. Experts warn that it's important for customers to be mindful of their spending habits and not let the lure of extra points push them beyond their budget.

Tesco says the move is part of its latest partnership with tech provider Pod Point. EV drivers could also bag a whopping 2,500 Clubcard points by subscribing to Pod Point's all-inclusive home charging plan. Charging bays are available at over 600 Tesco car parks across the UK. Advertisement Shama Wilson, Tesco's group membership and loyalty director, said: "You can now park at your local Tesco and top up your electric vehicle while you shop, in the knowledge that you are collecting Clubcard points towards a future Tesco shop or to exchange with one of our reward partners." "We're thrilled to deepen our long-standing partnership with Tesco and provide an incentive for Clubcard members to make the switch to an EV and join over a quarter of a million customers that trust Pod with their changing needs," Pod CEO Melanie Lane added. It comes after the supermarket giant revealed that it had hit 500,000 charges – providing more than 10 million miles of complimentary carbon neutral motoring. Tesco, in partnership with Volkswagen and Pod Point, is installing free charging points at 600 supermarkets around the UK as part of their commitment to improving electric car charging infrastructure. Advertisement The partnership has now provided its 500,000th free top-up – and during this period three million kWh of free, carbon neutral electricity has been given out. This is enough power to drive a new all-electric Volkswagen ID.4 SUV around 10.4 million miles. You can now charge your electric car for FREE at Tesco with Volkswagen and Pod Point Based on the average new petrol or diesel car sold in the UK, the scheme has reduced carbon emissions by approximately 2,120 tonnes - the same as more than 2,770 acres of forest will manage in a year. The announcement was welcomed by Transport Secretary and EV owner Grant Shapps, who said: 'As we accelerate towards a cleaner and greener transport future, it's great to see one of Britain's most iconic household names leading the way with electric vehicle chargepoints. Advertisement 'In the time it takes to pick up the groceries, drivers up and down the country can now quickly and easily charge their cars and with £2.5bn of government support to encourage their take-up, there has never been a better time to switch to an EV.' The Tesco Extra in Slough has been the busiest supermarket for free charging - with the sockets used more than 10,000 times. It finished ahead of Tesco supermarkets in Stourbridge, Crawley, Altrincham and Bromley by Bow in the top five. Making up the rest of the top 10 were the Tesco supermarkets in Watford, Orpington, Elmers End, Havant and Lichfield. Advertisement Director of Volkswagen, Andrew Savvas, said: 'Our partnership with Tesco and Pod Point emphasises our commitment to carbon neutral mobility for all and we're delighted to have reached this milestone - helping owners of all electric car brands top up with free renewable energy while they're doing their grocery shop.' Tony Hoggett, chief operating officer at Tesco, said: 'We are committed to reducing carbon emissions in all our operations and aim to be carbon neutral in the UK 2035. 'As part of this we want to encourage our customers to play their part with the rollout of free-to-use EV chargers to 600 of our stores. 'Providing customers with charging points offers them a sustainable choice and giving them the opportunity to charge their car for free while they shop is a little help to make this easier.'

Tesco introduces new car park perk for shoppers — but you'll need a Clubcard
Tesco is introducing a brand new way for shoppers to earn Clubcard points at its supermarkets, however, there's a bit of a catch. Customers who use the retailer's car park will be able to claim points while they do their shopping but only if they use the Pod electric vehicle chargers while they are in the store. So you have to have an electric vehicle in order to take advantage of this new offer. Those with electric vehicles can collect one Clubcard point for every pound they spend on Pod's Vauxhall-branded chargers at Tesco Extra and Tesco Superstore car parks. At present, Vauxhall operates roughly 2,600 EV charging bays at more than 600 Tesco car Parks across the UK. In London, there are 10 superstore locations with the bays, including Southwark, Kensington, Hammersmith, Bromley By Bow, Lewisham, South Tottenham and Finchley. It's worth noting, though, that points earned in this way may not appear immediately on your account as they will be awarded to Clubcards within seven days of the charging session. And Tesco urges shoppers to check signage at their local store for any parking charges or restrictions that might apply before they park, so they don't end up with a parking ticket. 'You can now park at your local Tesco and top-up your electric vehicle while you shop, in the knowledge that you are collecting Clubcard points towards a future Tesco shop or to exchange with one of our Reward Partners.' This comes after Tesco recently introduced a 'new rule' for bakery products, which allows people able to enjoy popular pastries for as little as 60p. In some of the retailer's supermarkets across the UK, customers have noticed signs going up which state that after 7pm loose bakery products will be reduced by 50% and this is thought to apply to everything except bread and gingerbread. More Trending This means that you'll be able to get many pastries for as little as 60p each as items like the All Butter Croissant, Almond Croissant, Chocolate Twist and Maple and Pecan Plait all cost £1.20 usually. When asked by Metro, a spokesperson for Tesco confirmed that 'generally' markdowns on bakery items occur around 7pm each day, but timings can vary depending on the store. Tesco added that the price cuts are made in a bid to prevent food waste and that the markdowns are popular with shoppers.
