Free punk gig in Glasgow to protest Disturbed Hydro show

In June last year he posted an image of him signing an artillery shell while visiting with the Israel Defence Forces. David Draiman signing artillery shells (Image: David Draiman/Instagram) Following this year's Coachella Festival in which Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day changed song lyrics to reference "the kids from Palestine" and called for a ceasefire before anti-war song 'Holiday', Draiman took to social media. He said: "Open offer to #BillyJoeArmstrong (sic) from Green Day. "You know I respect you brother. I'd love to have the opportunity for you to hear the Israeli/Jewish side of this horrific war. I'm available to discuss whenever you are. No judgement, nothing preconceived. Let me know." Read More: A number of users on social media expressed the opinion that signing an artillery shell was not conducive to a nuanced and respectful discussion. Draiman says he is "pro peace and coexistence between all people". In response to Disturbed's Glasgow show, DIY punk promotor Teen Warfare and Show Israeli Genocide the Red Card will put on a free show featuring Proof of Failure, Reefer Madness, Perøxide. Proof of Failure said: "Considering the music we play, and the messages in our songs, we will be playing a few songs with some of our fellow punk bands, to protest the arrival of such individual in Glasgow, and we hope you will come to join us. "No platform should ever be given to someone who is pro-genocide, especially not in Glasgow." Daiman denies he is 'pro-genocide'. A venue is yet to be announced, but a demonstration will also take place at the Hydro on the day Disturbed are due to play.

David Beckham plots 'family summit' with Brooklyn over Nicola and Victoria

David and Victoria Beckham are hoping to 'put the fire out' after tensions grew within the family. Their eldest son, Brooklyn, and his wife Nicola Peltz even snubbed David's 50th birthday celebrations David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly extremely 'keen to heal the rift' between the family and Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz. The famous family have been hitting headlines in recent weeks as the aspiring chef and his socialite wife snubbed David Beckham's 50th birthday celebrations. Not only did they fail to show up to the many parties, they also didn't publicly acknowledge the milestone birthday on social media. Just weeks before, Victoria celebrated her 51st birthday but her eldest son did share any posts on his Instagram page and instead opted to attend Coachella Festival with his Bates Motel actress wife. ‌ ‌ However, the feud has reportedly been festering since Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding in 2022. While at first there were tales of tension between Nicola and former Spice Girl mother-in-law Victoria Beckham - which they later appeared to try to silence by supporting each other both online and at events and fashion shows in real life - things took a turn in recent weeks when it was implied Brooklyn had clashed with younger brother Romeo Beckham, 22, and his choice of girlfriend; Kim Turnbull, 24. There have also been claims Nicola must be behind" the family fallout. Around the time Nicola and Brooklyn wed, rumours of a feud between the American actress and fashion designer Victoria have been swirling. Nicola's friends recently claimed "emotional abuse and toxic behaviour" are the reasons behind the fallout. However, David and Victoria reject the claims and are outraged by the suggestions. And now, a source has insisted the Beckham family are "keen to heal the rift" as David reached out to his eldest son and will 'fly out to see him' if he has to. "They are going to put this fire out; David has said that he wants the dust to settle and for everyone to talk when emotions have settled down," the insider told Hello!. ‌ Although Brooklyn "hurt them" by airing their "dirty laundry", the former footballer wants everyone to 'iron things out.' The same insider claimed Nicola hasn't show 'respect towards the family' since joining the family. "Tensions rose at their wedding and that situation has continued; Victoria and Nicola don't really get along. Over the past few months, Nicola has been causing things to fester and everyone to fall out," they said. After it was claimed "toxic behaviour" was the reason behind the family fallout, sources close to David and Victoria rejected the reports and slammed the 'deeply unpleasant attack'. ‌ A source close to the Beckhams recently told the Mirror: "I don't think anyone who has ever seen David and Victoria with their children would recognise this deeply unpleasant attack. It doesn't even warrant a response it's so ludicrous and patently untrue."

Kneecap should know their words have real-world impact

Well, that escalated quickly. Only a month ago Kneecap were a rebellious, funny, Irish rap trio that people like me knew about, but certainly didn't bother the public at large. Then at California's Coachella Festival in April the band displayed the messages 'Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people' and 'It is being enabled by the US government'. Sharon Osbourne called for Kneecap's US visas to be revoked. The internet was duly mined for incendiary gold. Concert footage from November 2024 found a band member chanting, 'Up Hamas, up Hezbollah,' while at a gig in the Electric Ballroom in London from November 2023 an unspecified band member shouted, 'The only good Tory is a dead Tory. Kill your local MP.' Yesterday Katie Amess, daughter

First Minister says it would be 'unacceptable' for Kneecap to play at TRNSMT

First Minister John Swinney believes Kneecap playing at TRNSMT this summer would be "unacceptable". The Irish rap collective are known for their outspoken political views, displaying a banner reading "free Palestine, f*** Israel" at the Coachella Festival. Videos emerged late last week of Kneecap urging fans to "kill your local MP", alongside a clip from a 2023 concert where the trio said "the only good Tory is a dead Tory". Speaking to reporters at the STUC conference, Mr Swinney said: "The language that you have put to me is completely and utterly unacceptable. Read More: The Murder Capital on their new album, Kneecap and more Calls for Kneecap to be axed from TRNSMT over 'kill your local MP' comments TRNSMT reveals first wave of acts on its lineup for 2025 "There is no way that is acceptable in a debate about free speech, it's completely beyond the pale. "I think that makes it incredibly difficult for a band like Kneecap to perform at TRNSMT, I think they have crossed a line to be honest. "It would be unacceptable, for me, for the band to perform on such a stage given that their comments are so far beyond the pale. "I'm not very familiar with this group, but what I've heard of their comments I find completely and utterly unacceptable, so I cannot see how they can perform at TRNSMT. "We don't run the TRNSMT festival, but my opinion, for what it's worth, is that these comments just are unacceptable. "They cause division in our society, they cause a lot of unease, and I think TRNSMT will want to respond to that." A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'We have been working closely with partners and the event organiser over several months to maximise the safety of everyone who is attending TRNSMT.' The group said on Friday: "Since our statements at Coachella — exposing the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people — we have faced a coordinated smear campaign. For over a year, we have used our shows to call out the British and Irish governments' complicity in war crimes. "The recent attacks against us, largely emanating from the US, are based on deliberate distortions and falsehoods. We are taking action against several of these malicious efforts. "Let us be absolutely clear. The reason Kneecap is being targeted is simple — we are telling the truth, and our audience is growing. Those attacking us want to silence criticism of a mass slaughter. "They weaponize false accusations of antisemitism to distract, confuse, and provide cover for genocide. We do not give a f*ck what religion anyone practices. We know there are massive numbers of Jewish people outraged by this genocide just as we are. What we care about is that governments of the countries we perform in are enabling some of the most horrific crimes of our lifetimes — and we will not stay silent. "No media spin will change this. Our only concern is the Palestinian people — the 20,000 murdered children and counting. The young people at our gigs see through the lies. "They stand on the side of humanity and justice. And that gives us great hope." DF Concerts, the organiser of TRNSMT, has been approached for comment.

Victoria Beckham's mum takes savage swipe at Brooklyn's cooking tutorials amid family feud

Aspiring chef Brooklyn Beckham took to his social media page to share an instructional video on how to cook a vodka sauce using his brand new hot sauce, Cloud 23 Brooklyn Beckham's grandmother was quick to roast the aspiring chef after he posted a video of himself cooking pasta with a vodka sauce using hot sauce from his very own brand, Cloud 23. On his Instagram page, the 25-year-old showed a step-by-step guide on how to cook the famously simple sauce as he added a twist with his hot sauce. The star's grandmother, Jackie Adams, left a savage comment as she told him: "Even I could make that Brooklyn," along with a slew of kisses. Fans were obsessed with her response as one told her: "grandma roasting! [laughing emoji] kudos," and another one added: "respect!! He has to take it from you." ‌ ‌ Brooklyn's other grandma, Sandra Beckham, left a nicer comment for her grandson, posting: "Mmmmm that looks good." The star's latest post comes after he channelled his mum and dad with snaps taken with wife Nicola Peltz Beckham on a Ducati motorcycle. Both wore helmets for the snap. In another, Nicola posed solo on the red bike while rocking leggings. Brooklyn, 26, captioned the post: "My passenger princess x [motorcycle emoji] @usedbikesdirect." While some fans reminded them to put on proper riding gear, many complimented the stars, with one saying: "didn't know you ride! That's amazing," and another adding: "Lucky boy!" Nicola, 30, also shared similar model-like snaps on her page, all taken in a garage. Only one picture showed them riding around the neighbourhood as Nicola showed off Brooklyn's neck tattoo - which is of her eyes. ‌ "I love you baby @brooklynpeltzbeckham," Nicola captioned her photos. The duo's snaps were similar to the ones taken by Brooklyn's parents Victoria and David when they were on a US road trip in 2022. At the time, Victoria shared a clip of their ride as she added Kenny Loggins' hit song, Danger Zone, in the background. Victoria wrote in the caption: "Our Maverick Moment!! @davidbeckham has been trying to get me on the back of his bike for years and finally I did it! It was so much fun!!" ‌ David also shared a video on his page and said: "My happy place!" Brooklyn and Nicola's new snaps come amid a rumoured feud within the family. Meanwhile, there have been rumours that of a family feud after Brooklyn failed to publicly wish his mother a happy 51st birthday. Instead, he was partying at Coachella Festival with his wife and friends. Brooklyn shared pictures from his time at the festival but none of his family, who were all celebrating Victoria's special day.
