Are The Beer Store, LCBO and other Ontario alcohol retailers open for the August Civic Holiday?
It's time to celebrate civic pride. Whether you're raising a toast to Simcoe Day in Toronto, Colonel By Day in Ottawa or George Hamilton Day in Hamilton, plenty of alcohol retailers will be open on Monday, Aug. 4. The Beer Store has announced 85 locations will be open for the Civic Holiday Monday, for anyone running low on suds. 'The Beer Store is open at select locations across Ontario so you can be ready for the long weekend,' said Ozzie Ahmed, The Beer Store's vice-president of retail, in a news release . 'We know customers appreciate the convenience of The Beer Store — cold beer and an efficient empty alcohol container return system that gets people their money back.' Most of the 85 stores will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visit for full details. LCBO Most LCBO stores will be open Monday, Aug. 4.
