Browns Myles Garrett will ‘make' teammates ‘get it,' talks Nick Chubb, Aaron Rodgers

While a few teams, including two in the AFC North, deal with contract issues, the Cleveland Browns avoided the biggest one of the offseason with DE Myles Garrett. When Garrett requested a trade, most believed it would be the end of their relationship and the Browns roster would lose, by far, its best player. Instead, an extension was agreed upon and Garrett was at mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. During his conversation with the media, the former Defensive Player of the Year noted that, while he may have missed some OTAs, he is around more than the media is aware. 'Feels good. I mean, I've been back here a couple of times. Don't really make my presence aware until you all are here,' Garrett said. When discussing his role as a leader, the hulking defender made it clear that he plans on holding his teammates accountable. 'Seeing how guys attack the practice field, how they come in and prepare from day to day. And if they don't get it, you make them get it. Like I said, being that leader, setting that standard and showing guys how it's done instead of expecting them to know it,' said Garrett Tuesday afternoon. 'You have to guide them.' Speaking just days after RB Nick Chubb departed the team for the Houston Texans, Garrett noted that he tried to get the veteran back to return when talking with GM Andrew Berry. Garrett noted why he wanted Chubb back, 'because I know he means a lot to the fans, but he means a lot to us as well on the team. So, you know, it's an emotional blow to not have him here, but we got to keep on moving, keep on trucking.' Garrett also noted he had a clear idea that Joe Flacco would be returning to the team when he talked earlier this offseason about Cleveland needing a quarterback they can have 'faith in'. Finally, in what has already been taken out of context by the Pittsburgh Steelers and national media, Garrett talked about putting new Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers in his graveyard. Garrett famously had his house decorated for Halloween with a QB graveyard with headstones of all of those he has sacked: For now, the Browns have two more days of mandatory minicamp before a last OTA session. Then training camp begins and Garrett will have a real shot at leading as he described before taking on Rodgers in Pittsburgh in Week 6. Art Rooney confirms new throwbacks, second helmet for Steelers

It's still not clear whether the Steelers will be getting a new quarterback. It is clear that they'll be getting a new look or two in 2025. Owner Art Rooney II has confirmed that the Steelers will have a new throwback uniform, along with a new second helmet. Via Rooney said the outfit will debut in prime time. Advertisement "We are going to have a new throwback uniform this year, and with a new helmet to go with it," Rooney said. "We're planning to wear our new throwbacks for the Packers game on Sunday night, Oct. 26. It'll be fun to wear our throwbacks against one of the older franchises in the league — that just seems to be appropriate." In the past, the Steelers have worn a yellow helmet. The alternate helmets for the Steelers and four other teams are reportedly due to be unveiled this summer. It seems appropriate for Rodgers to wear a yellow helmet in his first ever game against the Packers, for whom he wore a yellow helmet for years. Rooney also said the team's Color Rush uniform is expected to be worn during the Monday night home game against the Dolphins, on December 15. It also would be fitting for the late season visit from the Dolphins to find a way to properly commemorate this unforgettable moment from a Monday night game played 18 years ago.

Chargers' uniforms could receive a brand new look in 2025

The Chargers are among five teams that are rumored to debut alternate helmets this summer, according to The new alternate helmets haven't been leaked yet, but are expected to debut sometime in July. Advertisement On Wednesday, general manager Joe Hortiz might have hinted that the rumors are true on his appearance on The Up & Adams Show. When asked if he could confirm, Hortiz responded, "I can't confirm. But I know that we dabbled with some stuff, so I'm sure there's something coming." Hortiz revealed that he hasn't seen anything, but there was one day they were doing a photoshoot overlooking the field but they had curtains wrapped around so he was unable to see anything. If I were to guess, it would likely be a navy blue helmet that matches their Color Rush uniforms, which have gold lightning bolts on the sides. Report: Steelers among 5 NFL teams revealing new alternate helmets

Report: Steelers among 5 NFL teams revealing new alternate helmets The Steelers may be getting some new uniform options — as it was recently reported that a new helmet will be unveiled by Pittsburgh this summer. According to Andrew Lind of multiple sources have confirmed that the Steelers, Browns, Chargers, Commanders, and Saints will showcase new alternate helmets in July. Here's what Lind had to say about the possible designs: "Details are limited at this time, so it's unclear if the Browns, Commanders and Saints will introduce a new shell color or simply tweak their existing alternate designs. But one thing for certain is that the Chargers and Steelers will finally add a second shell to their respective closets, leaving the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers as the only teams without a second shell." The 'second shell' could very well be the beloved all-gold helmets from the Steelers' 75th-anniversary uniforms — a design that would pair perfectly with Pittsburgh's current Color Rush uniforms.
