A big tournament championship between rivals is the hallmark of any 'Karate Kid' movie, and the latest installment in the Miyagi-verse literally takes the competition to new heights. In 'Karate Kid: Legends,' Ben Wang is the latest actor to wear the franchise's underdog mantle as Li Fong, a kung fu-trained transplant from China to America. He makes an enemy out of Conor (Aramis Knight), a Brooklyn karate champ and ex-boyfriend of Li's friend Mia (Sadie Stanley). Unsurprisingly, they're on course for a high-stakes matchup when Li enters the famed Five Boroughs tourney to win money to help Mia's dad Victor (Joshua Jackson) pay off a loan shark. So his sifu Mr. Han (Jackie Chan) travels to Southern California to recruit sensei Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) to teach Li some karate skills with just days to spare. Let's dig into all the best spoilers, from a different sort of 'Karate Kid' ending to a mid-credits scene with a surprise 'Cobra Kai' connection. What happens in the ending of 'Karate Kid: Legends'? 'Karate Kid' tourneys have leveled up since the days of the original film's 1984 All Valley championship where teen Daniel tussled with Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka). Li conquers several foes via montage in the Five Boroughs, with each match taking place at a street location, leading to the final on top of a skyscraper against Conor. And like four decades ago, a signature kick is significant to the climax: Earlier in 'Legends,' Li tried to do his late brother's acrobatic Dragon Kick on Conor, which the bully easily countered. In the tourney, Li uses it as a trap, unleashing the kick, ducking under Conor's counterattack, and landing a decisive blow that leads to his victory. Director Jonathan Entwistle explains that he wanted to honor past movies but also avoid what he calls 'the tournament trap.' So his twist on the familiar was 'based on how kung fu itself is perceived in Western movies,' he says. 'What we had with kung fu and karate was this idea of street fighting and Bruce Lee vs. the sports movie.' The climactic match was built to be 'my 'Lord of the Rings' moment," Entwistle adds, "where we get to the top of the mountain and the wind's blowing, and that's where the fight is. That's what I wanted, to buy myself the ability to have a 12-minute martial arts finale with very little dialogue in a perpetual sunset.' Does 'Karate Kid: Legends' have a post-credits scene? Yes, it does! And it ties into the final scene where Li is working at Victor's pizza shop following his tourney win. After the end title card and before the credits roll, the movie cuts back to LaRusso's SoCal dojo and Daniel gets a surprise pizza delivery. He opens the box, sees a thank you note from Li and brings it into the house where Johnny's hanging out – a familiar sight for lovers of Netflix's 'Cobra Kai' series. Daniel tells him he needs to try this pie but Johnny argues that 'the best pizzas are in Encino.' Then Johnny has the great idea to do a karate-themed pizza parlor called Miyagi-Dough (a play on LaRusso's Miyagi-do karate). 'That's disrespectful,' Daniel says. 'To pizza?' Johnny counters. 'To Mr. Miyagi!' Daniel replies. Johnny then brainstorms some punny advertising: 'Miyagi-Dough: Pepperoni's the best defense,' 'Slice first, slice hard, no anchovies' and 'Olives on, olives off.' A 'Cobra Kai' fan himself, Entwistle wanted to further connect the dots in the Miyagi-verse. 'We just let Billy and Ralph go because that's the joy of where we were,' he says. 'I hope that that alone helps make people realize we didn't make a 'Cobra Kai' movie. We made a 'Karate Kid' movie. "But it's the homage to what has just finished to lead us on to a brand new chapter, a brand new novel in the series that hopefully can go on.'

Conor Maynard has finally broken his silence in his first TV interview since his shock paternity scandal. Earlier this year the star claimed that he had taken a paternity test that proved he's not the father of a star of the Traitors' baby. Charlotte Chilton made the bombshell claim in June of last year, saying that Conor was the father of her 'miracle' baby — having previously suffered several IVF miscarriages with her ex-wife. 'As you said, the last year has been really difficult and mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life. The baby girl, named Penelope, has since been born — with Conor 'ghosting' Charlotte and denying that he's the father. There have been a lot of things that have happened and a lot of things that contributed to why it has been so difficult. When asked how it felt to discover the paternity, he added: 'Well funnily enough it wasn't an instant relief. I actually thought I was going to have a massive panic attack the second I found out. 'I think initially a lot of my friends were like, do you want to grab a drink, do something, hang out near your house and we can just talk. I didn't. I just stayed at home with my girlfriend and I tried to stay calm and have a relaxed night. 'A lot of us had kind of accepted that this had happened and this was the life we were preparing for. So when the result came in I can't even begin to explain to you the feeling,' he concluded. Charlotte made the bombshell claim shortly after the birth of Penelope, telling OK! magazine that 'he knows' she gave birth. I've not heard anything, I had real torment over whether to contact him when she was here or not. 'And I figured I don't want to speak to him, but he has a right to know. I knew if I didn't reach out people would say I hadn't bothered,' Charlotte added, saying that she also had post-birth anxiety about the alleged resemblance between Penelope and Conor. 'There have been days where I've been in tears because I'm sitting here thinking 'I've got a daughter that looks f***ing identical to you [Conor]'… If [Penelope] wants to walk away from him, that's fine, but she needs to make that decision for herself when she's older, I'm not going to deny her contact if he decides he wants to see her.' Charlotte appeared on The Traitors in 2024, where she was banished in episode nine. She first met Conor after the show's winner Harry Clarke — who was dating Conor's sister Anna — introduced them at a wrap party. Charlotte announced her pregnancy in April, and split from her then-wife Laura — claiming Conor was the father in June.

Connor Maynard has spoken out about the moment he wasn't the father of Traitors star Charlotte Chilton's baby for the first time Conor Maynard has spoken out after discovering that he was not the dad of The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton's baby. In his first TV interview, on Friday's This Morning, the singer spoke out about the moment he found out he wasn't the father for the first time. In October, Traitors star Charlotte Chilton gave birth to her first child, Penelope. In November, the first-time mum, who had publicly claimed Conor as daughter Penelope's father, alleged he is not involved with the baby. However after months of drama, back in March, Conor put out a statement to say he had taken a paternity test and was not the father. He wrote at the time: "Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative. Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. "I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor." Now, Conor, who had previously spoke out about his struggles with anxiety at the time, told hosts Paddy McGuiness and Alison Hammond about the struggles he faced during that time. "The last year has been really difficult, and mental health has been something I've struggled with for a big portion of my life," he began. "This most recent year has definitely been up there in terms of my experience and battle with it. "A lot of things have contributed to why things have been so difficult," the star continued. Paddy then went on to ask Connor how he felt when he found out he wasn't the father, but "funnily enough it wasn't an instant relief," he told hosts. "I actually felt like I was going to have a massive panic attack the second I found out," Connor admitted. "That's the diffcult truth about mental health. When something traumatic happens to you, the second that traumatic event stops you don't think, 'Oh I'm fine now.' It doesn't work out like that." Although Conor's friends wanted to go out for a drink that night, the star admitted he didn't feel up to it, and opted to stay in with his girlfriend instead. Summing up his emotions, Connor continued: "It was confusion, and feeling like, 'Why did that have to happen?'" Concluding, the singer said: "When the result came in, it was unbelievable, but it wasn't instant relief. It took a lot of time to process and really understand." This Morning reached out to Charlotte's representative to offer them a right of reply, however, they declined to comment at this time.
