New twist in Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row as explosive new allegation is 'revealed'

A huge new development in the Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row has come to light, five months after the pop star claimed he was not the father of her daughter Penelope. In a new document, reportedly seen by The Sun, Charlotte claims an 'unidentified male was present' when Conor's DNA sample was collected. The mother-of-one also alleges Conor 'switched testing locations last minute' and that her own DNA was not taken. In a standard DNA paternity test, at least two people need to provide samples: the child and the alleged father. Including the mother's sample is generally recommended for increased accuracy of the test. Charlotte has allegedly now urged a court-ordered DNA test to confirm the parentage of the little girl, who was born in October. According to the publication, Conor's representatives have insisted he has already offered to do a second paternity test, but outside of court. A source said: 'Charlotte was blindsided when Conor released the paternity result claiming he wasn't Penny's dad. 'Charlotte consulted lawyers and despite suffering shocking abuse from online trolls, was advised to remain silent. She's now ready to fight for Conor to take another paternity test. 'She claims the previous one should be discounted because it was not conducted under the controlled conditions agreed. 'Charlotte just wants this whole sorry saga over with and for the truth to come out. Her number one priority has always been, and always will be, Penny.' According to the publication, Charlotte has hired Coleen Rooney's Wagatha Christie lawyer Paul Lunt to be on standby for potential legal threats. A spokesman for Conor Maynard told The Sun: 'It's baffling. Conor's already agreed to another paternity test, so there's no need to drag this through the courts. 'Once a new test has been done hopefully Charlotte can finally put this behind her once and for all'. Daily Mail has contacted Charlotte and Conor's representatives for comment. A subsequent DNA test confirmed in March that Conor was not the child's father. Conor appeared on This Morning in May to explain the toll the paternity scandal had on him after Charlotte went on to say she doubted the accuracy of the test. He said: 'I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that.' Conor added: 'Mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life. 'And this year has been up there with my battle with it.'

Inside bitter Connor Maynard & Charlotte Chilton paternity row after explosive new allegation revealed

JUST when you thought the row between Charlotte and Conor Maynard couldn't get anymore toxic - the Sun can reveal the most explosive development so far. Five months after pop star Conor claimed he had 'proof' he was not Penelope's dad, we can reveal a new jaw-dropping allegation has come to light - which Charlotte says casts major doubts about the accuracy of the results. 12 12 In a document seen by The Sun, the BBC star claims an unidentified male was present when Conor's sample was collected. Charlotte, 34, also alleges the singer switched testing locations at the last minute and that her own DNA was not taken - something which improves the accuracy of the paternity test. She now wants a court-ordered DNA test to determine the parentage of the little girl, who was born in October. However, Conor's rep insists the pop star has already offered to do a second paternity test outside of court - despite the original cheek swab being done in the presence of Charlotte's own legal representative, who watched the sample being taken. It was carried out by specialist company AlphaBiolabs, which is accredited by the Ministry of Justice. A source told The Sun: 'Charlotte was blindsided when Conor released the paternity result claiming he wasn't Penny's dad. 'Charlotte consulted lawyers and despite suffering shocking abuse from online trolls, was advised to remain silent. 'She's now ready to fight for Conor to take another paternity test. 'She claims the previous one should be discounted because it was not conducted under the controlled conditions agreed. 'For months, Charlotte's gone to great lengths to keep this out of court and in the public domain. 'Charlotte just wants this whole sorry saga over with and for the truth to come out. Her number one priority has always been, and always will be, Penny.' Charlotte has hired Coleen Rooney's Wagatha Christie lawyer, Paul Lunt, to be on standby - braced to handle potential legal threats from the TikToker. A spokesman for Conor Maynard said: 'It's baffling. Conor's already agreed to another paternity test, so there's no need to drag this through the courts. "Once a new test has been done hopefully Charlotte can finally put this behind her once and for all'. Charlotte was set up with Conor by her Traitors co-star Harry Clarke after a champagne-fuelled wrap party of Claudia Winkleman 's BBC murder mystery game last year. Pansexual Charlotte, who recently divorced her wife Laura, claimed the singer turned on her weeks later when she said she was expecting his child after their fling. The BBC star, who has polycystic ovaries, spontaneously entered The Traitors on a whim after her marriage broke down following seven agonising miscarriages and failed IVF. She was banished in episode nine with Harry being crowned the winner and scooping £95,000 by betraying his co-star Mollie Pearce. She went home with Conor after partying at celebrity nightclub Raffles with his younger sister Anna Maynard who is Harry's long-term girlfriend. But things turned sour six weeks later when Charlotte discovered she was pregnant. In an explosive tell-all interview with The Sun earlier this year, Charlotte lashed out at 'immature man-child' Conor, alleging he disowned their unborn baby girl. 'He told me, 'I'm not ready to be a dad. It's nothing against you, Charlotte, but even if we'd been together three years, I would be the exact same. I do not want to have a child. That's why I haven't got a dog'', she recalled. On Father's Day this year, Conor introduced fans to his Bernadoodle puppy he adopted with girlfriend Kitty Bertrand, saying: 'Welcome to the family little Bernard.' The couple moved in together weeks after Conor claimed he wasn't the father of Penny's child, saying he was 'on to a new chapter...' Meanwhile pals say Charlotte has been going through an 'exhausting fight' behind the scenes, having always been adamant about who her daughter's father is. Conor's reps insisted the private results taken by DNA testing company Alpha Bio Labs on March 11, 2025, have "clearly drawn a line under the matter", adding: "It is very difficult to understand how the location of the paternity test would have changed the results. "To be clear, this test was conducted by a registered nurse in the presence of Charlotte's legal representative.' He later went on ITV 's This Morning, telling viewers: "I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that. The mum of one is yet to speak publicly, but told close friends she will do 'whatever it takes' to get to the truth. It's believed Charlotte will pay for the paternity test herself. The self-employed recruitment consultant is said to be looking for child maintenance payments from the Can't Say No singer. 12 12 Conor broke his silence on the baby drama ordeal, saying it was one of the "worst years of his life" as his mental health spiralled. In a further blow, Conor revealed he had been rushed to hospital after a health scare left him "screaming in pain". The 32-year-old pop star said a bulging disc in his back has left him unable to work and fears surgery is the only option, aside from managing the pain, for long-term recovery.

Conor Maynard hospitalised after mystery health battle leaves him in unbearable pain

Conor Maynard has revealed he was rushed to hospital over the weekend following an intense flare-up of a secret health condition that left him 'screaming in pain' and physically incapacitated. The 32-year-old singer, best known for hits like Can't Say No, took to Instagram to share the ordeal with fans and explain his prolonged absence from the spotlight. Maynard disclosed that he has been quietly battling a bulging disc in his back for months, an injury that gradually worsened despite multiple treatment attempts. In his emotional post, he said he had sought help from a chiropractor earlier this year, but the pain only intensified. Over the weekend, it reached unbearable levels. 'I lost all the colour in my face,' he wrote, describing how his girlfriend Kitty Bertrand panicked and called for an ambulance. Now facing the possibility of surgery, Maynard confessed that the experience has deeply disrupted his life and career. 'Even holding up a camera is too heavy. Filming content or performing has become almost impossible,' he explained. Despite the frightening prognosis, he remained hopeful, stating that he's determined to recover and release new music as soon as possible. This health scare is the latest blow in what Maynard has described as the worst year of his life. Earlier in 2025, he became entangled in a public paternity dispute with The Traitors contestant Charlotte Chilton, who had claimed he fathered her daughter. A DNA test later proved he was not the biological parent, but the damage to his mental health lingered. 'I was painted as a deadbeat dad,' he recalled in a This Morning interview. 'My mental health spiralled.' The emotional and physical toll has pushed Maynard into an extended hiatus. As fans flood social media with messages of support, the singer remains focused on healing, both physically and mentally.

Conor Maynard 'screaming in pain' over terrifying health ordeal

Conor Maynard has opened up on his scary health ordeal that has left him unable to do the things he loves most, including release new music for his followers Conor Maynard has candidly opened up on a scary health ordeal that left him and his girlfriend in a panic. The singer, 32, took to Instagram to inform his followers of his situation as he uploaded a worrying looking snap of him on a stretcher. ‌ The Can't Say No hitmaker admitted he had been left "screaming in pain". And he confirmed that the incident had let him "pretty quiet over the last few months". ‌ Taking to his social media account, Conor said he wanted to tell his followers why he had been off-grid slightly. This comes months after he had vowed to "tell his side of the story" after his Charlotte Chilton baby drama. ‌ He wrote on social media on Monday: "So I thought I'd explain why I've been pretty quiet over the last few months, and why I released one song in May and then seemingly disappeared when the original plan was to post a string of songs for you guys. "I posted earlier this year that I was experiencing issues with my back, and it has been quite the journey." ‌ He commented over the top of an image of himself being carried on a stretcher while there was also a picture of a cannula in his arm. The star went on to explain how he had informed them earlier in the year of an issue with his back, calling it "quite the journey". He later confirmed the issue was a "bulging disc between my L5-S1". After thanking fans for their concern and well wishes at the time, he made sure to stress that just because this was his story, it wouldn't automatically be the same for others with a similar issue. "I tried going to a chiropractor for around 3-4 weeks," he said, before saying he didn't feel as though it was helping. This led to the singer having Epidural Steroid Injections. ‌ While he claimed some days he would feel better, he said at times there was no change. "Then over this weekend just gone, I had a random coughing fit," he confided, "and it sent the most INTENSE pain to the problem area and down my right leg. "It completely made my legs buckle but luckily I was standing next to my sofa so I had something soft to fall onto lol." ‌ Conor said he was unable to find a position that kept him comfortable, leaving him to "scream out loud in pain". The issue left him losing the colour in his face, leading to a panic moment for his girlfriend, who called him an ambulance. He continued: "The annoying thing about this kind of injury is that there isn't much that can be done immediately other than try to manage the pain, and then make more long-term recovery attempts. "Right now it's looking like surgery is the only option but obviously that's kind of scary lol." ‌ Conor explained how the ordeal has affected his life in "so many ways," including looking after his new puppy. But he also admitted that it had left filming any new music content "nearly impossible" as he can't hold up a camera. And in his everyday life, Conor admits it is stopping him take part in any of his hobbies, such as football and padel. He concluded by telling his fans "tips are still always welcome" as he tries to navigate his issue. "Hoping I'm back to fighting fit asap and doing the things I love, releasing music for all of you as soon as I can."
