Actor Aamir Khan has hinted at his final film project, which could be a grand cinematic spectacle. The 60-year-old, who has spoken about his desire to make 'Mahabharat' for long, stated that the epic-drama might be his last movie. "I hope I die with my shoes on..." he said while talking about the film. The 'Sitaare Zameen Par' actor feels that the grandeur of this project is going to be such that after making the film based on India's ancient text by sage Ved Vyas, he will have nothing else left to superstar raved about the sheer grandeur and emotional resonance of 'Mahabharat' in a podcast with Raj Shamani. While speaking about the scale of creating the epic on-screen, he said, "It's layered, it has emotion, it has scale, everything you find in the world, you will find in 'Mahabharat'."He further said, "Maybe after doing this, I will feel that I have nothing left to do. I cannot do anything after this, as the material of this film is going to be like that." The actor concluded, "I hope that I die with my shoes on, but since you are asking, this is the one thing I can think of. Perhaps after this, I will feel that I don't need to do anything else."In a previous interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Aamir spoke about his vision for 'Mahabharat' and said, "That's one of my biggest ambitions. Lal Salaam, the Tamil sports drama featuring superstar Rajinikanth, received mixed responses at the box office after its release in February last year. The film marked the directorial comeback of the actor's daughter, Aishwarya Rajinikanth, after a hiatus of nine years. Initially, the film was supposed to start streaming on the OTT platform in March of the same year, but due to unknown reasons, it was not released. But now, after almost a year, the makers have finally announced the official OTT release date of Lal Salaam. The film will be streaming on SUN NXT from June 6, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. Their friendship is tested when a politician's son exploits their rivalry during elections to spark a heated cricket match, potentially causing communal tensions in their village. It explores the themes of sports, friendship and social harmony, focusing on the impact of a rivalry between two cricket teams and the relationship between two friends and their communities. Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also featured Vishnu Vishal, Vikranth, Senthil, Jeevitha, KS Ravikumar and Thambi Ramaiah in significant roles. Backed by Lyca Productions, the film was written by Vishnu Rangaswamy with music by AR Rahman. Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has already wrapped up the shooting for his next project, Coolie. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film will be hitting the big screens on August 14 this year. The veteran Tamil superstars who started their careers fairly around the same time have left their audiences piqued with interest over their respective upcoming projects. Kamal Haasan's gangster action thriller Thug Life First up, we have Kamal Haasan, who is set for his big release, Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. The high-octane action thriller will make its way to the theaters on June 5, 2025. Besides Kamal Haasan in the lead, the film also stars Trisha Krishnan, Silambarasan TR, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Abhirami, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi and others in crucial roles. The film marks KH's second collaboration with Mani Ratnam after their last film, Nayakan.
