Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe vs CopperFlex Pro: Which cooling mattress should you buy?
Type: Hybrid Firmness option: Soft (2-4), Medium (4-6), Firm (7-8)Height: 13"Sleep trial: 120 nightsWarranty: Lifetime Price (MSRP): from $1,199 at Brooklyn Bedding Type: Memory Foam or Hybrid Firmness option: Medium firm (7)Height: 14"Sleep trial: 120 nightsWarranty: LifetimePrice (MSRP): from $732 (memory foam) / $932 (hybrid) at Brooklyn Bedding The Aurora Luxe Hybrid has long reigned as the top cooling pick in Brooklyn Bedding's mattress suite, until the CopperFlex range was introduced in November 2024. The CopperFlex Pro Hybrid closely mirrors the Aurora Luxe in terms of mattress spec, but it comes at a more affordable price. So should you splurge or save? Both the Aurora Luxe and CopperFlex land in our best cooling mattress guide of 2025 after thorough testing in warm environments (space heater, on. Attic bedroom, check). Temperature control is a standout feature of these hybrid mattresses, making them excellent choices for hot sleepers. Thanks to monthly mattress sales, Brooklyn Bedding mattresses are always great value with their quality punching above their price point. In this Aurora Luxe vs CopperFlex Pro comparison, we'll analyze the brand's most popular cooling mattresses in terms of price, design, comfort, support and temperature regulation to help you decide which is the best investment for you and your sleep. First things first, the Aurora Luxe is a more premium bed than the CopperFlex (which is marketed as offering affordable luxury), meaning it has a steeper price tag attached. Yet it's rare you'll ever see either bed at full price. Brooklyn Bedding mattress sales tend to knock 20% to 30% off these cooling hybrids throughout the year with the bigger discount appearing around major sale events like Memorial Day and Black Friday. We're in a limbo between sales right now, but you can still catch 25% off at Brooklyn Bedding with code SUMMER25 automatically applied at checkout. After this discount you can bag a queen CopperFlex Pro Hybrid for just $999 (was $1,332) or a queen Aurora Luxe for $1,398.75 (was $1,865 or $1,698.75 with a pillow top upgrade). For this extra $300 fee, you get more cloud-like cushioning (more on that below). Perks wise, both mattresses come with a 120-night trial, lifetime warranty and free shipping to your door. Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe mattress: from $999 $749.25 at Brooklyn BeddingThe Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe mattress is available in three firmness levels and offers a superb balance of cooling, support and comfort. With 25% off now, prices start from $749.25 in a twin size and a queen size with the additional cloud pillow top sits at $1,698.75 (was $2,265). Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid mattress: from $732 $549 at Brooklyn BeddingThe brand is right when they say the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid mattress offers affordable luxury. No matter your sleep style, hot sleepers are sure to love this great value bed, which you can bag for $999 in a queen size right now (was $1,332). Despite their different price points, the Aurora Luxe and CopperFlex have similar designs. The CopperFlex Pro is not only one of the best hybrid mattresses we've tested this year, but also one of the most affordable, with its quality of build and materials feeling, and looking, much more luxury than its cost suggests. Although the CopperFlex pro comes in memory foam and hybrid builds, it is the hybrid version we are focussing on here. Unlike the Aurora Luxe, this mattress comes in one firmness level, rated 7 out of 10. The 14" CopperFlex Pro Hybrid has a quilted, honey combe stitch surface complete with a GlacioTex cooling cover. Beneath that there's copper-infused memory foam, VariFlex foam, a layer of 760 individually-wrapped coils and high-density support foam. Together, these materials form a robust, cool and cushioning yet supportive mattress. Similarly, at the top of the Brooklyn Bedding Aurora Luxe you'll find two layers dedicated to cooling — a smooth-weave GlacioTex cover and CopperFlex foam (we'll get into how these help temperature regulation below). If you opt for the pillow-top upgrade, there will be extra cushioning foam directly beneath the cover. Otherwise the next two layers are responsible for pressure relief, though they differ depending on which firmness level you go for. The soft model has two inches of soft memory foam and one inch gel swirl memory foam, giving ample sinkage. The medium has two inches of medium memory foam and an inch of gel swirl memory foam providing slightly firmer support. Whereas the firm model has 1.5" of firm foam and 1.5" of VariFlex transition foam, delivering a firm, responsive sleep surface. Beneath the foam, there's an eight inch layer of 1,032 zoned high-gauge coils and a high-density foam base providing targeted lumbar support and a sturdy sleep surface. As two of the best pillow-top mattresses you can buy online right now, the Aurora Luxe and CopperFlex both come with ample cushioning, pressure relief and support. The Aurora Luxe mattress is available in three firmness levels (soft, medium and firm) to suit different sleep styles and body weights. In our Aurora Luxe mattress review, our main tester slept on the medium firm Aurora Luxe without the pillow top, but we've also tested the pillow-top version in the Brooklyn Bedding showroom. Our lead tester commented that "The medium premium memory foam here is very effective at preventing you from sinking out of alignment, while still providing enough cozy comfort and minimizing pressure points." For this reason, we rate the Aurora Luxe as one of the best mattresses for back pain. Assessing the pillow-top version, our tester said that "Because the extra padding is springy rather than squishy and slow-moving, the bed is still nice and easy to move about on." In comparison to the CopperFlex, a medium Aurora Luxe with the pillow-top upgrade will feel most similar. If you're a heavy body who prefers a firmer bed, we suggest opting for the firm Aurora Luxe. Meanwhile, light-weight side sleepers will enjoy the extra cushioning provided by the soft pillow-top model. On the other hand, our average-weight lead CopperFlex tester found the mattress comfortable and supportive in all three sleep positions and reported no trouble switching between them during the night. "Although I felt myself sinking into the mattress surface slightly I never felt like I had to fight out of the foam to switch position," our tester said during the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex mattress review. "Instead it is responsive while offering a gentle hugging feel." Though it's not firm enough for strict stomach sleepers, who would be better supported by a firm bed like the Plank Firm mattress at Brooklyn Bedding. Both mattresses also come with higher gauge coils reinforced around the edges, so you can sit on the edge of the bed without sliding off and comfortably get in and out of bed. The Aurora Luxe, however, falls short when it comes to motion isolation. When laying next to each other on the bed, our testers could feel one and other tossing and turning. So, the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid would be the better choice for restless couples. As two of the most reliable cooling mattresses packed with specialist temperature regulating technology, hot sleepers will find relief with both these mattresses. But how exactly do these cooling materials work and which is, honestly, better at keeping you cool through the night? Firstly, the GlacioTex covers that encase both these mattresses are lined with high thermal conductivity fibers that pull heat away from your sleeping body and dispel it through the mattress surface, keeping the bed cool-to-touch. Next, the copper foams are infused with metal filaments with high thermal conductivity, helping to remove heat from the mattress rather than trapping it. Copper also gets kudos for sleep hygiene as it's antimicrobial, meaning it provides a barrier against bacteria building up in your bed. Meanwhile, the hybrid design of each mattress means air can flow freely through coil layers, aiding temperature control. However, the Aurora Luxe's zoned coils allow better airflow than the pocketed coils in the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid. This means the Aurora Luxe has a slight edge over the CopperFlex in terms of cooling, which you'd expect considering the price difference. Ultimately, hot sleepers on a budget are better off snapping up the CopperFlex, but those with a more premium budget should enjoy marginally cooler sleep with the Aurora Luxe. ✅ You want customization options: Available in soft, medium and firm, you can tailor the Aurora Luxe to suit your specific sleeping requirements. ✅ You want a more luxurious mattress: Yes, the CopperFlex offers affordable luxury, but the Aurora Luxe offers real luxury for anyone with the cash to splash. ✅ You suffer with back pain: We rate the Aurora Luxe as one of the best mattresses you can buy for back pain, with it offering a reliable blend of comfort and lumbar support. ✅ You're a combination sleeper: The CopperFlex Pro's medium firmness and responsive surface makes it easy to switch positions through the night without getting sucked into foams. ✅ You're on a tighter budget: Affordability is a standout feature of the CopperFlex Pro and you can get a queen size $400 cheaper than the Aurora Luxe now. ✅ You have a restless partner: In our motion isolation tests, the CopperFlex performed considerably better than the Aurora Luxe, scoring 4 out of 5 compared to a measly 2 out of 5.

The cooling mattress I'd buy just dropped to 40% off in a surprise 4th July sale
As an active runner, occasional hot sleeper and, of course, a mattress tester, if you asked me what mattress I'd pick without a budget in mind, my answer would undoubtedly be the Bear Elite Hybrid, which just dropped to 40% off all sizes at Bear with the code FOJ4TY. Packed with temperature balancing technology (we're talking Phase Change Material, copper foams, breathable coils and Celliant), my team of fellow bed testers and I rate the Bear Elite Hybrid as the best cooling mattress of the year. Regular mattress sales at Bear take 35% off the Elite Hybrid but this 40% off only appears around big-hitting sales like Black Friday and Memorial Day. Honestly, I didn't expect to see it in 4th July mattress sales and I doubt it will stick around long. So, go, go, go if you're in the market for a reliable cooling mattress this summer. Bear Elite Hybrid mattress (queen): was from $2,427 now from $1,456.20 at BearAfter 40% off, a queen Beat Elite Hybrid will set you back $1,637 with the Celliant upgrade or $1,457 without it (was $2,727 and $2,427 respectively). Like the very best hybrid mattresses you can get, there are three firmness levels to pick from with the Bear Elite making it suitable for most sleepers. While 40% is the best discount we see in Bear mattress sales, MSRPs appear to have risen lately, with a queen last month costing $2,305 at MSRP vs the $2,427 today. So the mattress isn't at its lowest ever price (though it's likely the lowest we'll see from now on). Still, 120 night sleep trial, limited lifetime warranty and free and fast shipping are included, making this an excellent review: ★★★★½ User score: ★★★★½ (based on 3,900+ reviews) First things first, to benefit from the Bear Elite's full cooling mechanism you must upgrade with the Celliant cover, which costs an extra $180 for a queen size after the current 40% discount. For this premium, you get a mattress that captures body heat and converts it into infrared energy that helps your muscles recover through the night while removing heat from the bed surface. This mattress also incorporates copper-infused foams which help to transfer heat away from the body to keep the surface of the bed cool. On top of this, being a hybrid mattress means there's plenty of airflow through the bed. The result? A mattress that's able to keep you call even during a Texan summer, according to our lead tester for the Bear Elite Hybrid mattress review. Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro (queen): was $1,332 now £932.40 at Brooklyn Bedding While a Bear Elite would be my ideal mattress, I'm currently sleeping on the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid due to its smaller budget. Today's Brooklyn Bedding mattress sale takes 30% off, bringing the queen size to $932.40 (was $1,332). Yet its quality, feel and features punch above this price point, as I explain in my Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro mattress review. And its perks (a limited lifetime warranty, 120 night sleep trial and free shipping) match Bear's despite its lower price. Our review: ★★★★ User score: ★★★★½ (based on 500+ reviews)

Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid vs Purple Mattress: Which cooling mattress is best for couples?
Type: Copper Foam HybridFirmness: 7/10 medium-firmHeight: 14"Sizes: 6Sleep trial: 120 nightsWarranty: LifetimeSale price: from $699 at Brooklyn Bedding Type: LatexFirmness: 7/10 medium-firmHeight: 9.5"Sizes: 7Sleep trial: 100 nightsWarranty: 10 yearsSale price: from $1,349 at Purple The Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid and the Purple Mattress are cooling mattresses with strong motion isolation, making them great beds for restless couples. While both offer exceptional cooling and comfort, there are some key differences between the Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid and the Purple Mattress that set them apart, particularly their height, materials and design. Both of these mattresses make it into our best cooling mattress of the year guide thanks to their innovative climate control and top-quality materials. While the Purple uses a stretchy gel grid, the CopperFlex Pro features heat-conducting copper foams. While both mattresses offer excellent value for money, they are still hefty investments, so it's important you're sure on which is the best mattress for you before splashing your cash. Plus, it's worth timing your purchase to benefit from regular mattress sales so you bag the best deal, and here we'll help you do just that. The Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid is an affordable luxury mattress that delivers a premium feel, look and sleep experience for less $$$, and it's almost constantly discounted in Brooklyn Bedding mattress sales. There is 25% off now, cutting a queen size to $999 from $1,332. This isn't the cheapest we've seen it, as it dropped to $932.40 after a 30% discount around Memorial Day. However, we can confidently recommend this bed whatever the discount. Even at MSRP (which it never is) you'd be getting outstanding value on a bed of this prestige. Purple mattress sales aren't as persistent as Brooklyn Bedding. But you're in luck if you're shopping right now as there's $300 off a twin to full size Purple Mattress and $500 off a queen size and above. This reduces a queen to $999 (was $1,499). If you're after a smarter sleep set-up you can currently add a queen Purple Premium smart adjustable bed base for $995 (was $1,195). For this extra dough, you'll be able to customize the head and foot elevation of your bed and stop snoring with help from Purple's anti-snore technology (features that will turn your mattress into a sleep set-up akin to some of the best smart beds you can buy online). Brooklyn Bedding tops Purple in terms of extras. Both come with free shipping but Brooklyn Bedding offer a reassuring lifetime warranty, while Purple's warranty is just 10 years, which is one of the lowest in the mattress industry. Plus you get an extra 20 days' trial with Brooklyn Bedding. Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid mattress: twin was $932 now $699 at Brooklyn BeddingThe Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid uses breathable coils and copper-infused foam for advanced cooling and motion isolation. It's up to $399.75 off this month, with a queen reduced to $999 (was $1,332). You'll also get free shipping, a 120-night sleep trial and lifetime warranty. Purple Mattress: twin was $999 now $699 at PurpleThe 9.5" Purple Mattress is made with the brand's signature GelFlex motion-quelling layer alongside foams and a breathable cover. It's not often discounted, but right now there's between $300 and $500 off. You can add an adjustable bed frame from $499 and enjoy benefits like free shipping in 1-2 days, a 100-night trial and 10-year warranty. Both mattresses are built with quality yet affordable materials and are delivered in a box. The main difference between the two is height, with the Copperflex standing 14" tall and the Purple is shallower at 9.5". We think the Copperflex Pro Hybrid is one of the best hybrid mattresses around, with a thoughtful balance of coils and foam to suit different sleep styles and sleep needs. On top, there's a contouring honeycomb stitch GlacioTex cover, followed by quilt foam, copper foam, a layer of up to 760 encased coils and high density support foam. Overall it feels like a premium mattress straight out the box, punching above its price point. The Purple Mattress has a more unusual build featuring the brand's patented GelFlex grid, a dynamic and durable hyper-elastic layer that flexes under pressure but springs back into shape immediately. Next is a mixture of different kinds of memory foam for different purposes, including comfort foam and support foam. This is all wrapped up in a soft, breathable cover that optimizes the GelFlex grid's performance. Despite their different builds, both these mattresses are rated medium-firm, coming in at 7/10 on the mattress firmness scale. Providing a balance of support and cushioning, these mattresses suit most sleep styles. The Purple Mattress's polymer grid is reportedly very responsive and "bouncy". Our reviewer says it "gives the impression that you're floating while you sleep: there's a simultaneous sensation of feeling completely supported, while hovering on the top of the mattress." This makes it a good bed for combination sleepers who switch their sleep style up through the night as they won't have to fight their way out of foams. Meanwhile, the Copperflex Pro Hybrid is a pillow top mattress, meaning you do slightly sink in when you lay on it as the foam contours to your body. For this reason, we primarily recommend it to side sleepers, even though our average-weight tester felt supported and comfortable in all sleeping positions. With strong motion isolation ratings in sleep studio and real-life tests, both these mattresses are top-rated mattresses for couples. Our tester found they could sleep peacefully on the Copperflex Pro Hybrid even with a wriggling toddler next to them. Additionally, our Purple mattress reviewer says: "The unique polymer technology was excellent for reducing motion transfer." Note that heavier sleepers or strict stomach sleepers should look elsewhere. If this is you, you're better off with an extra firm sleep surface that pushes back against your movements through the night, keeping your spine aligned. The Plank Firm mattress is our number one recommendation here. Both these mattresses are designed with hot sleepers in mind, employing innovative cooling technology to help you beat the heat in bed. The Brooklyn Bedding has foams infused with copper ribbons and a cool-to-the-touch GlacioTex cover, which work together to conduct heat away from the mattress surface and your sleeping body overnight. Our tester slept on this mattress in a stuffy attic bedroom through a British heatwave and didn't have trouble regulating their body temperature. On the other hand, the Purple Mattress's polymer grid has over 2,800 open air channels providing serious airflow and heat dissipation. On top of that there's a breathable cover, which helped keep our reviewer "cool and comfortable" during the two-week testing period. Overall, these are both great cooling mattresses for anyone who runs a little hot at night. That said, if you're battling severe night sweats you may benefit from more advanced active temperature regulation, found in the likes of the Eight Sleep Pod 4 mattress cover. ✅ You or your partner weigh 230lbs or more: How thick your mattress should be depends on your body weight and sleep style. Experts recommend people heavier than 230lbs sleep on a mattress that is at least 12" deep, for optimal support. ✅ You don't want to buy right now: Discounts stick around permanently at Brooklyn Bedding, so you can always bag a good deal. ✅ You want more financial reassurance: The Brooklyn Bedding comes with a longer sleep trial and warranty, giving you more time to change your mind. ✅ You like to sleep on top of your mattress rather than sink in: The Purple Mattress's polymer grid keeps you on top of the bed rather than sinking into foams. ✅ You have a smaller bedroom: The 9.5" design is relatively slim, making it a better fit for small spaces and light sleepers. ✅ You want a smart bed bundle: You can add an adjustable base to the Purple mattress with extra savings — a good choice for people with mobility issues.

DreamCloud Classic Hybrid vs Brooklyn Bedding Copperflex Pro Hybrid: Which mattress is right for you?
Type: HybridFirmness: Firm (8/10)Height: 12"Sizes: 7Sleep trial: 365 nightsWarranty: LifetimePrice: from $1,014 at DreamCloudShipping: Free Type: HybridFirmness: Medium-firm (7/10)Height: 14"Sizes: 6Sleep trial: 120 nightsWarranty: Limited lifetimePrice: from $932 at Brooklyn BeddingShipping: Free The DreamCloud Classic Hybrid is one of America's most popular mattresses, while the Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a relative newcomer with a close resemblance. But which is best? Here's where we compare both mattresses to help you decide which might be your best bedtime option. Both the DreamCloud and CopperFlex Pro promise to deliver a luxurious feel at an affordable price, and both mattresses are rated highly by our expert reviewers and by customers. You'll find the DreamCloud in our guide to the tried and tested best mattresses of 2025, where we rate it as the best affordable mattress and praise it for its pressure relief and back support as well as its temperature regulation. While the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid hasn't yet made it into our best mattress guide, it's definitely a strong contender thanks to its effective cooling, zoned lumbar support and a luxurious pillow top. If you're not so sure about your next mattress purchase as the Memorial Day mattress sales come closer, we can help you decide. In this article we'll compare the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid and CopperFlex Pro in terms of build, support, temperature regulation and price, so that you can quickly decide which option is best for you. Read on for all the facts... We rate the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid as one of the best luxury mattresses if you're looking for something affordable. A queen size has an MSRP (or 'total value' as DreamCloud say) of $1,531, but there's little chance of you ever having to pay that, thanks to evergreen DreamCloud mattress sales. At the time of writing, the brand's up to 60% off Memorial Day sale makes the price of a queen $649. At MSRP the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a cheaper option, with a queen size coming in at $1,332. Again, regular Brooklyn Bedding mattress sales will bring the price down, but they're not as generous as DreamCloud's. You'll usually get 25% off, which drops the price of a queen size to $999. It's worth keeping an eye on mattress sales from both brands, because if you buy at the right time you can get an even lower price. The cheapest we've seen the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid for recently is $599 for a queen, while Brooklyn Bedding occasionally ups its discount to 30%, which would reduce the price of the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid in a queen size to around $932. Both mattresses come with a lifetime warranty and free delivery, however the DreamCloud has a more generous sleep trial period: you'll get a whole year to decide whether it's right for you, while with the CopperFlex Pro you get a 120-night trial. DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress: was from $1,014 $399 at DreamCloudThe DreamCloud has made a big name for itself thanks to its luxurious feel at an affordable price. There's up to 60% off at DreamCloud right now, which means you'll pay $649 for a queen size. That's a good price but it's not the cheapest we've seen it, and if you pick your moment you may be able to get it for just $599. Expect a lifetime warranty, 365-night trial and free shipping, too. Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid Mattress: was from $932 $699 at Brooklyn BeddingThe CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is a new mattress from Brooklyn Bedding that combines a luxurious feel with advanced cooling. There's 25% off in the Brooklyn Bedding sale at the moment, dropping the price of a queen size to $999 — a fair price, but if you hold out for Brooklyn Bedding's occasional 30% discount you'll pay less. While you'll get the same limited lifetime warranty and free shipping, you'll only get a 100-night trial. Once you start looking closely at these mattresses, you'll realize just how similar they are. They're both hybrid mattresses featuring quilted covers, multiple layers of foam and layers of 8-inch encapsulated springs. The DreamCloud is ranked as most affordable in our best hybrid mattress guide, but you won't find the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid there; at least, not yet. So let's take a closer look at their makeup. There are six layers to the 12" DreamCloud Classic Hybrid, including the bottom cover. On top you'll find a quilted cover featuring cooling fibers and a stitched-in foam layer, and under that there's a contouring memory foam layer and an adaptive foam support layer. 8" of individually-wrapped coils deliver tailored support and reduce motion transfer, and a thin layer of dense foam beneath that keeps everything stable. Finally there's a protective bottom cover to hold it all together. The CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is similar, with some advanced cooling features. You get a Glaciotex cooling cover with 1.5" of quilt foam (making up a pillowtop) designed to relieve pressure, 2" of copper-infused memory foam, and 1" of transition foam sitting on top of a 0.75"-zoned lumbar support layer. Ascension X coils promise similar benefits to the DreamCloud's springs (motion isolation and edge support) and, yes, underneath that you'll find a layer of high density support foam, plus of course a protective bottom cover. In short: there's an extra layer to the CopperFlex Pro: the transition layer between the memory foam and the support foam. With the bottom cover, this gives it seven layers in total. Another thing both these mattresses have in common is that neither of them have handles on the edges, which can make it tricky to maneuver them. It's when you start looking at the comfort and support delivered by these mattresses that you'll start to get a feel for which option might be best for you. On paper they're pretty close: the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid is rated a 6.5 medium-firm, while the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is rated a 7, so there shouldn't be that much difference, right? However, in our DreamCloud Classic Hybrid Mattress review we found that in use, this mattress is a lot firmer than described; we think it's more of an 8, and we think that lighter side sleepers might struggle to settle into it at first, potentially benefitting from one of the best mattress toppers to soften things up a bit. It's worth noting that we reviewed an older, 14" model of the DreamCloud (and are in the process of reviewing the newer version), but we don't think the changes in the current model will make an enormous difference to the feel. Meanwhile, the back and stomach sleepers in our testing panel found that the DreamCloud delivered excellent pressure relief and support, keeping everything nicely aligned and alleviating lumbar discomfort. You'll note that we include the DreamCloud Classic Hybrid in our best mattress for back pain buying our Brooklyn Bedding CopperFlex Pro Hybrid mattress review we found that it also performed well when it came to lumbar support, thanks to its zoned coil layer. We also found that its rating of 7 for firmness was pretty much on the money; there's slightly more of a sink-in feel to this mattress, in part thanks to the plush pillow-top, and it's one that's better suited to side sleepers and lightweight combination sleepers, who also switch between back and stomach sleeping. We felt it could also suit back sleepers, but heavier sleepers and stomach sleepers who prefer a firmer mattress may find that that the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is just a little too plush for their tastes. Both mattresses performed well in our standardized motion isolation tests where we drop a 10lb weight at set heights and distances from an empty wine glass on the mattress. For the CopperFlex Pro, the wine glass only moved when the weight was dropped from 12", while we saw slight movement on the DreamCloud Classic when the weight was dropped from both 8- and 12", but noted it was minimal. This indicates that these are both beds on which you're unlikely to be disturbed by a partner's nocturnal movements, making them great mattresses for couples. We also found that both mattresses did well in our edge support tests, and our reviewer found that while there was some sinkage of the weight we used for these tests (3.5") due to the pillowtop, she could comfortably sleep right up to the edges on the CopperFlex Pro. The DreamCloud Classic Hybrid saw less sinkage (about 1"), and lighter weight, smaller testers found the edge support sufficient, but our taller and heavier testers reported that that they considered it to be too weak for comfort. Perhaps the biggest difference between the DreamCloud and the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is in their cooling properties. In short: the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid has a much stronger case for inclusion in our best cooling mattress guide. That's partly down to its GlacioTex cover (the fibers of which have high thermal conductivity) which feels cool to the touch. It also helps that the CopperFlex Pro features a memory foam layer infused with copper particles that draw heat away from the surface and help to counteract the heat-trapping properties of memory foam. The DreamCloud, on the other hand, is short on specific cooling properties; its cover is made with cooling fibers, but that's about it. Both mattresses benefit from deep sprung layers that will do a good job of circulating air to keep temperatures down, and none of our reviewers reported problems with overheating. However our CopperFlex Pro Hybrid reviewer pointed out that she enjoyed a cool sleep experience even during a heatwave and after exercising. ✅ You're on a reduced budget: The DreamCloud's selling point has always been that it's a luxury mattress at an affordable price point, and it's considerably cheaper than the the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid. ✅ You're a back or stomach sleeper: Side sleepers – particularly lighter ones – may struggle to get comfortable on the DreamCloud. However if you generally sleep on your back and stomach you're going to get on very well with this mattress thanks to its outstanding support. ✅ You experience back or hip pain: The DreamCloud has a place on our best mattresses for back pain guide for good reason, it provides excellent back support and our testers who experience hip and back pain found it was reduced while sleeping on this mattress. ✅ You want a cooling mattress: The CopperFlex Pro Hybrid is designed to keep you from overheating, with a cool-to-the-touch cover and copper-infused memory foam, and it performs incredibly well when it comes to regulating temperature. ✅ You change position in the night: With a slightly softer feel than the DreamCloud, the CopperFlex Pro is suitable for all sleep positions, and because you don't sink deeply into it you won't have problems if you tend to switch position a lot as you sleep. ✅ You're looking for strong edge support: Even with the plush pillowtop, the CopperFlex Pro Hybrid still delivers great edge support. You'll be able to use the full surface of this mattress, and sleep right up to the edges.
