Nebraska legend Aaron Taylor named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025

Nebraska legend Aaron Taylor named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 An all-time great Nebraska football player has been named to the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Aaron Taylor played for the Cornhuskers from 1993 to 97. Taylor holds the distinction of being the only football player in Nebraska history to earn All-America honors at two positions (left guard, center). He was a two-time first-team All-American and a three-time national champion. Taylor's No. 67 jersey was retired in 1998, and he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018. Joining Taylor in the 2025 class are Kevin Davis (men's gymnastics, 1985-88); Diandra Hyman (bowling, 1999-2002); Lisa Reitsma (volleyball, 1994-97); and Stephanie Thater (volleyball, 1989-92). Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen had high praise for the five new Hall of Famers. 'We talk regularly in Husker Athletics about setting a standard by which everyone else will aspire to achieve. These Hall of Famers did that and more, and now inspire our current student-athletes to achieve greatness. We look forward to welcoming our 2025 Hall of Fame Class back to campus for our induction ceremony this fall, where we will celebrate their accomplishments and recognize their impact on the University of Nebraska.' The 2025 Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Friday, Oct. 31, before being recognized during the Nebraska-USC football game on Saturday, Nov. 1. Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen discusses changes to Memorial Stadium end zones

Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen discusses changes to Memorial Stadium end zones Nebraska athletic director Troy Dannen recently spoke to the Huskers Radio Network about the installation of red end zones at Memorial Stadium. On Wednesday, he posted pictures of the end zones on social media. Dannen shared his thoughts on the changes while speaking to the Huskers Radio Network. "The field looks good. Everyone has been thrilled with it. There are a lot of field design experts on my Twitter telling me what it should or shouldn't be. Getting those red end zones, for every one person that tells me they like it, the next person tells me they don't. We've all been after getting a little more red inside the facility." Dannen was able to showcase several aerial shots of the improved field. Since becoming the athletic director at Nebraska, Dannen has been vocal in his belief that the university underutilizes the color red. "We underutilized red a lot and I don't understand it. We don't light the stadium up from the outside and we should light it red every night. Red is an intimidating color and we should use it a lot more than we use it. I've told the Governor that the road signs, exits off of I-80 should be in red. Not in green. Not in blue, but in red. Little things like that and how we brand ourselves. Having those red end zones and I think it's a strong color. When we put the black letters in the end zone, I think it's a strong look." Nebraska will open Memorial Stadium in 2025 on Sept. 6 when the Cornhuskers host Akron in Lincoln. Horn went eight innings, allowing three hits with six strikeouts, three walks and one hit batter. Casey Daiss pitched the ninth inning, allowing one hit and striking out two. UCLA starter Landon Stump (6-1) took the loss. He was charged with three runs in 1 1/3 innings. Advertisement UCLA (42-16) tied for first place with Oregon in the teams' first season in the Big Ten.
