Who was Rosie Roche - Royal cousin of Princes William and Harry found dead?

WINDSOR, ENGLAND - APRIL 17: Prince William, Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry arrive for the funeral of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on April 17, 2021 in Windsor, England. Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark was born 10 June 1921, in Greece. He served in the British Royal Navy and fought in WWII. He married the then Princess Elizabeth on 20 November 1947 and was created Duke of Edinburgh, Earl of Merioneth, and Baron Greenwich by King VI. He served as Prince Consort to Queen Elizabeth II until his death on April 9 2021, months short of his 100th birthday. His funeral takes place today at Windsor Castle with only 30 guests invited due to Coronavirus pandemic restrictions. (Photo by Victoria Jones -) The Royal Family was struck by tragedy after Rosie Roche, a 20 year old relative of Princes William and Harry, was discovered dead at her family residence in Norton, Wiltshire. Rosie, who was studying English Literature at Durham University, was reportedly preparing for a getaway with friends when her mother and sister made the heartbreaking find on July 14. A firearm was discovered at the scene. Rosie Jeanne Burke Roche, born on June 21, 2005, had strong ties to the British aristocracy. As the granddaughter of the late Edmund Roche, 5th Baron Fermoy — Princess Diana's uncle — she was a cousin to Princes William and Harry. She was the daughter of Edmund (Hugh) Burke Roche and Pippa Long. An inquest into her death commenced at the Wiltshire and Swindon coroner's court before being postponed until October 2025. Area coroner Grant Davies confirmed that officers have classified the death as non-suspicious, eliminating any third-party involvement, reports the Express. Darling daughter of Hugh and Pippa, incredible sister to Archie and Agatha, Granddaughter to Derek and Rae Long. Private family funeral. A memorial service will be held at a later date." Mr Kingston, a 45 year old financier, was discovered in an outbuilding at his parents' residence in the Cotswolds. Officers confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances. Earlier this year, an inquest revealed he had been given various medications for depression following stress-related sleeplessness. He allegedly ceased taking the medication in the days leading up to his death. Friends have confided to The Times that Mr Kingston and Lady Gabriella appeared untroubled, with no hints of emotional or financial stress. The pair were spotted together at a Valentine's Day Shakespeare event and subsequently at the National Gallery, where pals described them as "happy and positive as ever."

"My Little Pony" Live-Action Movie in Works

Yara Sameh 'My Little Pony' is getting ready to gallop on to the big screen in a live action feature from Amazon MGM Studios and Hasbro Entertainment. Based on the popular toys that date back to 1982, the ponies have cantered into numerous animated series and feature films since the 1980s. The most recent feature-length outing was 'My Little Pony: A New Generation' in 2021, which became popular on Netflix after its theatrical release from Paramount was canceled due to Coronavirus. This will be the first live action project for the 43-year old property, which has captivated several generations with its rainbow-hued animals with colorful neon manes and tails. The project is still in development with no creative team in place yet. While the toys originally appealed mostly to girls, the 2010 series 'My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic' lured a new type of fans: teenaged and adult men who dubbed themselves 'bronies' and used their fandom to challenge conventional gender stereotypes. My Little Pony toys have been sold in more than a thousand varieties. It was recently inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. Hasbro's strategy to produce film and TV series based on its familiar brands include reimagining 'Clue' on film and television with Sony's TriStar and Sony Pictures Television, the live-action Dungeons & Dragons series 'Forgotten Realms,' in development at Netflix, the animated 'Magic: The Gathering Series' in production at Netflix, the live-action film and television 'Magic: The Gathering' universe with Legendary Entertaimnent and game shows based on Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble which premiered on the CW. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream

Movie Producer Says Mortal Kombat II Trailer Due 'Within Two Weeks'

Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to 2021's Mortal Kombat cinematic reboot, is due out in just over three months. And yet, the marketing has been surprisingly light. So far, there have been teaser images from Entertainment Weekly and in-universe movie posters featuring Karl Urban's Johnny Cage, but that's pretty much it. However, if producer Todd Garner is to be believed, that should change soon. In a Twitter post dated July 13, the producer (whose other credits include Anger Management, The One, and Knight and Day) wrote that the first trailer for Mortal Kombat II should be out within two weeks. The 2021 Mortal Kombat film was part of Warner Bros. controversial strategy that saw movies release on the HBO Max streaming app, day and date with their theatrical release. Combined with the Coronavirus pandemic keeping many moviegoers away from theaters, many would-be blockbusters underperformed at the box office. Movies like The Matrix Resurrections, The Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman 1984 failed to make a dent at the box office because so many people chose to watch at home, instead. Even under these unique circumstances, Mortal Kombat still managed to eke out $84 million at the worldwide box office. In any case, Warner Bros. was satisfied enough with the film to greenlight a sequel with returning director, Simon McQuoid. The sequel aims to be bigger and better than the original, with the original cast returning alongside newcomers Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, and Martyn Ford as Shao Khan. Meanwhile, Damon Herriman, who provided the voice of Kabal in the first film, returns, this time in the role of Quan Chi, duplicitous sorcerer and frenemy to Shang Tsung (played by a returning Chin Han). Martial arts enthusiasts, mystical fantasy fans, and gore hounds alike will have plenty to look forward to when Mortal Kombat II hits theaters on October 24, 2025. Copyright The Arena Group, Inc. Coronavirus response chief assures new variant not in Egypt yet

The Head of the Scientific Committee to Combat Coronavirus at Egypt's Ministry of Health and Population Hossam Hosni said on Monday that the new variant 'NB.1.8.1,' also known as 'Nimbus,' has not yet been detected in Egypt, RT reported. In a phone interview with Al-Nahar TV, Hosni explained that this variant has been classified by the World Health Organization as concerning, due to its rapid spread and ability to overcome resistance acquired through vaccinations or previous infection. Fortunately, it is not particularly fatal, he added. 'All surveillance methods have confirmed that the virus has not entered Egypt,' he said, explaining that the symptoms currently prevalent among some patients in Egypt are the result of other viral infections such as influenza, and not the Coronavirus. Hosni said that conventional medications, not including antibiotics, are capable of dealing with the effects of infection with the new variant. Symptoms in patients may be severe but can be managed medically, he said. He also noted that some patients experience symptoms affecting their voice, a consequence of damage to the vocal cords as part of the respiratory system.

Court overturns ex-state attorney's mortgage fraud conviction but upholds perjury convictions

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A federal appeals court on Friday overturned a mortgage fraud conviction of former Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, who gained a national profile for charging police officers in a Black man's death. But the court upheld two perjury convictions relating to real estate she purchased. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that jury instruction in the mortgage fraud case was 'erroneously overbroad' concerning the proper court venue. The case was tried in Maryland relating to property she bought in Florida. 'As a result of our decision to vacate the mortgage fraud conviction, the forfeiture order related to Appellant's Longboat Key Condo, which was obtained as the fruit of the alleged mortgage fraud, is also vacated,' Judge Stephanie Thacker wrote. Judge Paul Niemeyer dissented in part. While the majority ruling contended that the government failed to introduce evidence sufficient to show that the crime was committed in Maryland and that the district court's venue instruction was erroneous, Niemeyer wrote he would have rejected both arguments and affirmed the district court's judgment. The court upheld two perjury convictions, saying it found 'no error in the district court's adjudication of Appellant's perjury convictions.' The court rejected arguments by Mosby that the admitted evidence misled jurors. 'In sum, the district court did not err in permitting the Government to introduce evidence as to how Appellant utilized the funds she withdrew from her retirement accounts,' the court said. 'That evidence was probative as to whether Appellant suffered 'adverse financial consequences.' And the probative value of that evidence was not substantially outweighed by a risk of undue prejudice or jury confusion.' Mosby, 45, was spared jail time at her sentencing last year. Her sentence included 12 months of home confinement, which she concluded last month. She also was sentenced to 100 hours of community service and three years of supervised release. Mosby was convicted of lying about her finances to make early withdrawals from retirement funds during the COVID-19 pandemic and fraudulently claiming that her own $5,000 was a gift from her then-husband as she closed on a Florida condominium. Mosby, who was Baltimore's state's attorney from 2015 to 2023, has maintained her innocence. Mosby gained national attention when she charged officers in the 2015 death of Freddie Gray, which led to riots and protests in the city. After three officers were acquitted, Mosby's office dropped charges against the other three officers. She ultimately served two terms as state's attorney before she was indicted and lost reelection. In 2020, at the height of the pandemic, Mosby withdrew $90,000 from Baltimore city's deferred compensation plan and used it to make down payments on vacation homes in Kissimmee and Longboat Key, Florida. Prosecutors argued that Mosby improperly accessed the funds under provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act by falsely claiming that the pandemic had harmed her travel-oriented side business. Mosby's lawyers argued that the retirement funds came from her own income and that no one was defrauded because she paid an early-withdrawal penalty and all federal taxes on the money. The government said that money remained the property of the city until she was legally eligible, and her perjury harmed everyone who followed the rules during the coronavirus pandemic. The mortgage fraud conviction overturned by the appeals court on Friday stemmed from a $5,000 'gift letter' she submitted when taking a loan to buy the Longboat Key property. Prosecutors said the letter falsely stated that Mosby's husband was giving her a $5,000 gift for the closing when it actually was her own money. Mosby applied for a presidential pardon last year. In a letter to then-President Joe Biden, the Congressional Black Caucus expressed support for her cause. Biden did not grant a pardon.
