Michigan State football releases ticket information for Ford Field showdown with Maryland
Michigan State football will be returning to Ford Field for the 2025 season finale against Maryland. This will be the Spartans third time playing inside of Ford Field, and will be a similar setup to the Spartans season finale in 2023 against Penn State. A game on Thanksgiving weekend at Ford Field is a unique opportunity for the fanbase, allowing the metro Detroit portion of the fan base to have a local opportunity to catch a game, all while avoiding the potential for a poorly attended game at Spartan Stadium in gross weather. Advertisement While the Nov. 29 game is a long ways away, fans are learning what the ticket information for the game is going to be, and how they can obtain tickets for the Spartans and Terrapins showdown. Per the Michigan State athletics press release: "From June 2-23, a presale to buy up to eight tickets will be available to Spartan Fund members and football season ticket holders in Spartan Fund donor priority order. Tickets will begin at $49. Presale purchases will require a one-time use promo code provided by the Spartan Ticket Office via email that will be sent on the donor level on-sale date." General admission tickets will begin being sold on June 24. In-state commit schedules official visit to Michigan State football
Michigan State football earned the walk-on commitment from Jack Lansing, a 3-star linebacker from Hartland (MI) earlier this month. Now, the in-state product has scheduled his official visit to Michigan State. Lansing, a 6'0" and 200 pound linebacker that plays at Hartland High School, is a highly valued walk-on commitment, ranking very high for a walk-on as an 84 rated 3-star according to 247Sports. While he may begin as a preferred walk-on, the opportunity to begin his career on scholarship or gain a scholarship while on campus is still very much a possibility. Lansing's trip to East Lansing will be starting on June 20. Michigan State baseball goes 0-2 in Big Ten Tournament, ends 2025 season
Michigan State baseball goes 0-2 in Big Ten Tournament, ends 2025 season Michigan State baseball's 2025 season has come to a close, with the Spartans unable to make a fairy tale story come true in Omaha at the Big Ten Tournament. On Tuesday night, the Spartans suffered heartbreak, losing an extra innings affair to Nebraska after an error in the ninth inning allowed the Cornhuskers to come back in the game. The game ended 5-4 in favor of Nebraska after 10 innings. The Spartans came back to avenge that loss on Thursday, taking on No. 1 seeded Oregon. Unfortunately for the Spartans, they fell once again, dropping a close contest to the Ducks, 4-2. Michigan State would go 0-2 during their week in the Big Ten Tournament in Omaha. The two losses officially mark the end of the 2025 season for Michigan State, that saw the Spartans go 28-27, a game above the .500 threshold. It is only the second time in the last seven years that the Spartans have finished above that .500 mark. Certainly, the future of Jake Boss Jr. as the head coach of this program will be talked about in the weeks that are soon to follow. Michigan State baseball sneaks into Big Ten Tournament field
Things got sticky for a moment, but Michigan State baseball will be making the trip to Omaha, playing in the 2025 Big Ten Tournament. Michigan State entered the weekend against Minnesota needing to take care of business, holding off Northwestern to keep themselves inside of the top 12 in the Big Ten's standings. After MSU dropped the first two games of the weekend, and Northwestern split the first two with UCLA, it all came down to Saturday's games. Advertisement In the Spartans affair with the Golden Gophers, Michigan State won a thriller behind Randy Seymour's walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth, taking an 11-10 victory. Following the win, it was time for the Spartans to lock into Northwestern's affair with UCLA, needing the Wildcats to lose to get their ticket to Omaha. During that game, UCLA took care of business, run-ruling Northwestern, 11-1 in seven innings The Wildcats loss punches Michigan State's ticket into the Big Ten Tournament, securing them the No. 12 seed. As the No. 12 seed, Michigan State will lock up with the No. 1 and No. 8 seeds in the round robin portion of the Big Ten Tournament, playing for their spot in the Big Ten semifinals. The Spartans found out about the news when they were celebrating their senior banquet.
