A Look Into Angelina Jolie's New Chapter as She Returns to Filmmaking, Fashion and Global Influence

On June 4, Angelina Jolie will celebrate her milestone 50th birthday. In her first 49 years, Jolie has accomplished more than most can dream: She's raised six children — Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Shiloh, 19, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, who she shares with ex Brad Pitt — earned countless awards and become revered worldwide for her humanitarian work. She's not done yet, however — here is a glimpse into everything the Maria star has had going on behind the scenes. After a 14-year absence from the Cannes Film Festival, Angelina made her triumphant return in 2025 to serve as the 'Godmother' tapped to present the prestigious Trophée Chopard to two rising stars on May 16. Angelina is frequently seen at Atelier Jolie, the graffiti-covered fashion retail space she opened in New York City in 2023. She enjoys hosting panel discussions at the collaborative and cultural center–meets–design workshop. In late 2024, Angelina was spotted filming her next movie, Couture, in Paris. The project, which Variety reported is about 'three women whose lives will collide during Fashion Week,' is being shot in both French and English. On May 14, it was announced that Angelina will play a banker opposite 31-year-old White Lotus season 3 breakout star Aimee Lou Wood's hostage-taking robber in the buzzed-about film Anxious People. Also in the pipeline? Big-budget movies, including Disney sequel Maleficent 3 and Maude v Maude — costarring and coproduced by Halle Berry, 58, who's described the flick as Mr. & Mrs. Smith meets Mission: Impossible. 'I have to be [in L.A. because of] a divorce, but as soon as [the twins] are 18, I'll be able to leave,' Angelina said last year. After her youngest become adults in July 2026, she mused, 'I'll spend a lot of time in Cambodia' and 'visiting my family members wherever they may be in the world.'

Setting the Stage: Louis Vuitton Explores The Performance Of Clothing For Cruise 2026

(Photo by Dominique Charriau/WireImage) For Cruise 2026, Nicolas Ghesquière put on a show of cinematic proportions. Set against the towering Gothic grandeur of the Palais des Papes—a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrating 30 years of that status—Louis Vuitton's latest offering unfolded like an immaculately choreographed performance. Where the designer typically fuses House codes with hyper-modernism, Cruise 2026 explores the romance of medieval aesthetics, all reimagined with his signature future-forward lens. For Ghesquière, this wasn't just a venue; it was a personal pilgrimage. He first encountered the soaring palace in 2000 during a millennium-themed art exhibition that hosted installations and performances by Pina Bausch and Bill Viola. Now, 25 years later, he returned with a spectacular 45-look collection—a dreamscape that danced between medieval heraldry and glam rock, Arthurian myth and couture-level craft. Think Romeo & Juliet meets Ziggy Stardust. 'The idea was to place the audience on stage,' Ghesquière said in a pre-show interview, referencing the 2000 Bausch performance he witnessed as a key inspiration. The result was a show that felt as much an immersive experience as it was a sartorial showcase. The collection itself was peak Ghesquière: structured leather jackets, asymmetrical silhouettes, intricately woven knits, layered styling and sequinned T-shirt dresses shimmering like mythic relics. Accessories made statements too—embroidered peep-toe boots that riff on armour and Alma bags adorned with scrolling florals lifted from historical manuscripts. The Cour d'Honneur, long a stage for artistic experimentation, inspired a collection that blurred the lines between history and futurism. What stood out most, though, was Ghesquière's deft synthesis of past and present, fantasy and functionality. From theatre and myth to music fandom and gaming lore, the designer wove a narrative that addressed a contemporary void we find ourselves in, offering an optimistic take on the in-between of it all. 'Fashion must navigate between the everyday and the spectacular,' he mused—and with Cruise 2026, he did exactly that. EXCLUSIVE Goyard customers say their $2,000 St. Louis PM leather tote bags MELTED on their clothes

Goyard customers have slammed the celebrity-approved French fashion brand after claiming their tote bags 'melted' onto their clothes. Fashion fan Janet Lin, from New York, spent $2,000 (£1,514) on her St. Louis PM only a year and a half ago and was delighted by her purchase at the time. However, Lin says she was left shocked, disappointed and furious when her expensive accessory's strap rubbed onto her white shirt, leaving a bright blue stain on the shoulder. She documented her experience on Instagram, writing: 'My Goyard bag is melting!!!! Has this happened to anyone else? The paint is coming off.' She added: 'POV (point of view) your $2,000 Goyard has officially entered the "melting" phase of its lifespan and it is no longer useable.' Lin also pointed out there are 'whole forums on the internet dedicated to people with Goyard strap melting trauma'. The shopper said she also now regrets buying the classic brown tote a year after getting her original blue one too, saying she was unaware that the hand-painted bags don't always stand the test of time. 'After seeing what happened to my blue one, I definitely won't be purchasing anymore Goyard totes and I hope I de-influence [SIC] some of you guys,' she said, adding that she would be bringing her bag to a store to see if they could fix the issue. The shopper says that her Goyard is now 'no longer usable', adding that she would be taking her tote into a store On its website, Couture brand Goyard says its bags have been 'crafted using strictly traditional methods with materials that are both noble and natural' and therefore need special attention to maintain them. The French company recommends that customers keep their bags - which are made from Goyardine canvas and Chevroches calfskin with a linen and cotton interior - away from light, heat and damp when it is not being used. Other care advice tells shoppers not to carry anything heavy and to avoid contact with water, greasy or oily products, makeup and perfumes. The Goyard tote should also not be exposed to extreme heat, dampnesss and artificial or natural light and the brand recommends regularly returning the bag back to their experts for deep cleaning or reconditioning. MailOnline has contacted Goyard for comment. Sab Sade, a Georgetown University medical student who lives in Washington D.C, says she had the exact same issue as Lin. She too was sporting a white blouse and decided to wear her blue Goyard tote bag when the paint rubbed off on her sleeve, leaving a large paint mark. Sab said on TikTok: 'My Goyard melted all over my favourite shirt. It wasn't even hot out.' This racked up 380,000 likes and thousands of comments, with one person writing: 'Excuse me that price tag for what?' Kaya Leathers, based in Indonesia, showed a red Goyard leather tote bag with a melted handle hem and wrote: 'Another day, another repair for Goyard.' Another penned: 'This happened with my orange Goyard bag I purchased in Beverly Hills.' A third said: 'What this happened to me with the same blue.' A fourth commented: 'Am I the only one who thinks Goyard is overrated?' Sab said that she has had the tote bag for seven years and it is the first time that it had stained her clothing. Kathaleen also complained about her purchase online under a clip titled: 'Reasons not to get a Goyard tote bag,' on TikTok. While showing a chipped part of her bag, she said: 'Either it melts in the sun or they made a mistake on the bag.' She sarcastically added: 'One good thing about it is that it is not fragile. Love how you can fold it! It can't hold anything, it literally broke in the first week.' Sab Sade posted that her blue leather tote bag had melted online and got thousands of comments on her TikTok Another social media user, who goes by the handle @1160103ad was also frustrated with her blue Goyard that she bought several years ago. 'It sticks to anything and everything, also my hands. Do something Goyard,' she said. Indeed this problem seems to be so common, that some leather stores are joking about how many repairs they make for Goyard. Kaya Leathers, based in Indonesia, showed a red Goyard leather tote bag with a melted handle hem and wrote: 'Another day, another repair for Goyard. The store captioned the post: 'It is No worries! We can restore it to its former glory,' hinting that they profit handsomely off of their delicate bags.

Belchertown High School senior wins 2025 Congressional Art Competition

BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (WWLP) – Kaia Couture, a student at Belchertown High School, was inspired by her art teacher to enter the 2025 Congressional Art Competition. 'I feel like a lot of times people feel like that art is just something you're born with being good at,' said Kaia Couture, a Belchertown High School student. For Couture, art became her favorite hobby as a child. Now she's a senior at Belchertown High School with a platform to show off her work. Her prized possession is a painted piece of marbles that came from an art class project. 'It was like a value study with gouache and they had to pay attention to you know lights and darks values,' said Elizabeth Teixeira, Art Teacher at Belchertown High School. Without any doubt, her art teacher knew Couture's piece would fit perfectly as a submission for the contest. Couture spent 2 to 3 weeks working on her artwork for the 2025 congressional art competition. In front of family, friends, and faculty, Congressman Richard Neal announced that she was the winner of the tough competition judged by museum officials and photographers. 'Literally for the first tens of thousands of applicants, and so for the First Congressional District to be honoring Kaia today indicates the keen sense of competition, the achievement. America will have a chance to witness as the work hangs in the candid building underneath the exit entrance ramp of the Capitol,' said U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal. Couture's piece will be an inspiration to others at a year-long exhibit in Washington, D.C. 'I think it represents the district, just by I mean the teachers in this classroom, the art that's being produced in this classroom. We're constantly having kids join these classes, even if it's just for an elective, they're being put in these art classes, and they're being allowed to create all this great art,' said Couture. Couture will also be flown out to Washington, D.C., to see her work on display at the United States Capitol.
