Offense: Credit card/access device fraud Date: Between April 22 and May 1 Location: Lowe's, Shillington Road, Spring Township. Police synopsis: According to Fleetwood police, fraudulent orders totaling more than $20,000 were placed via phone using a Fleetwood-area construction business' credit card and were subsequently picked up by a person not affiliated with the business. Crime Alert: Amity Township police searching for robbery suspect
Police in Amity Township are searching for a man who robbed a convenience store early Wednesday. According to police, a man armed with an adjustable wrench robbed the Speedway convenience store in the 1000 block of Benjamin Franklin Highway, which is also Route 422, just after 12:30 a.m. Following the robbery, he ran toward the eastbound side of Route 422 with an undisclosed amount of cash. Amity Township police say this man robbed the Speedway convenience store in the 1000 block of Benjamin Franklin Highway, early Wednesday. Suspect: Shannon Howell, 43, last known address in Port Jervis, N.Y. A photo of Shannon Howell from a wanted poster released by Northern Berks Regional Police. Police synopsis: Northern Berks Regional police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Howell, a 43-year-old woman, who they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash with a police vehicle on Route 222 south just past the Dries Road exit in Ontelaunee Township. The Northern Berks officer was injured in the crash. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Northern Berks Regional police at 610-929-2999.
