Mobile man escapes from court ordered facility in north Alabama
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Mobile man who was serving out a court-ordered rehabilitation at a North Alabama facility has escaped. According to a Mobile County Sheriff's Office news release, Christopher Marcellos Scott Jr. left the Center of Hope rehabilitation facility in Anniston on July 13. Immigration raid at Robertsdale restaurant leaves families angry, devastated Authorities have issued a warrant for Scott for third-degree escape. Before going to the Center of Hope, Scott was at the Metro Jail serving time for third-degree domestic violence, the release said. Foley duplex catches fire due to storm
FOLEY, Ala. (WKRG) — A duplex in Foley caught fire Wednesday afternoon after it was hit by lightning. Several lightning storms rolled through the area around 5 p.m., and one of those lightning strikes hit a house, sparking a fire. Downtown Foley restaurant under federal investigation for alleged money laundering, human smuggling, labor exploitation The Foley Fire Department responded to the home on Cedar Court, off Highway 59, where flames and heavy smoke could be seen. 88-year-old motorcyclist dies in crash with logging truck on Oregon highway
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — An elderly motorcyclist is dead after police said he crashed into the side of a logging truck in Polk County on Thursday afternoon. Just after 4 p.m., Oregon State Police troopers responded to reports of a crash involving two vehicles at the intersection of Highway 223 and Highway 22W. Portland man accused of attempted carjacking at knifepoint in Aloha Officials said the early investigation found a motorcycle driven by 88-year-old David Jorgensen had attempted to cross the highway and hit the side of a logging truck. While the driver of the logging truck was uninjured, Jorgensen was declared dead at the scene, officials said. Due to the crash, police said highway traffic was impacted for around five hours.
