Penélope Cruz Highlights Chanel's Textured Tailoring at the Brand's Fall 2025 Couture Show in Paris
An ambassador for Chanel since 2018, Penélope Cruz attended the fashion house's fall 2025 couture collection show during Paris Couture Week on Tuesday, wearing a look from the brand. The Oscar-winning actress donned a Chanel jacket, featuring a tailored silhouette with allover shimmering details intricately woven into the fabric. Cruz's outfit also included a black jacket with off-white trim and pearl detailing, along with sinuous cuffs and subtle pinstripe lines of sparkling details. The actress carried a Chanel quilted bag and wore a pair of black heels to complete her ensemble. The Villa d'Este hotel in Italy served as the backdrop for the collection's showcase, featuring designs that paid homage to the Romy Schneider wearing Gabrielle Chanel designs in his 1962 movie 'Boccaccio 70,' per Luisa Zargani's WWD review of the collection. The collection marked a turning point for the French luxury fashion house. The designer's first collection for the label will be featured in October. As of last April, the designer is reportedly assembling his team. Blake Lively Brings a Rainbow Twist to the Skirt Suit Trend
If there's two things Blake Lively loves, it's Chanel and a novelty bag. Sometimes it's a sheer and sweet white midi dress, a sherbet sequin gown, or that classic tweed skirt suit in a litany of colors and fluffs. Othertimes it's a pizza-shaped bag, a crystal peony ball clutch, or a bejewelled crossbody number from her beloved Judith Leiber. This time, Lively combines both in a sunshiney, summer in the city look. Photographed yesterday (June 10) on the streets of New York with a friend, the Another Simple Favor actor outfitted herself in an aforementioned staple, the Chanel tweed skirt suit. This time, Lively gave the set a bright and bold twist, opting for a fluffy rainbow jacket and skirt from Chanel's Cruise collection. The skirt suit has had somewhat of a Gen-Z re-evaluation, of recent—an officewear staple of the '80s revived by the likes of Lily-Rose Depp, in the ladylike fashions of Mikey Madison, with vintage numbers for Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner, and a padded shoulder Calvin Klein set offering for Daisy Edgar-Jones. Lively, a face of Chanel, has long had a penchant for the French house's tweedy co-ords, bringing her own personal touches to the C-suite silhouette. And as Lively likes to do in styling herself, for this look, she added a legion of eclectic accessories. She reached for a pale blue beaded Susan Alexandra bag adorned with 3D cherries, and added sparkly blue peeptoe heels, as well as two chunky charm necklaces and multiple gold hoop earrings. Gucci Cruise 2026 show: glamour, glitter and a gnocchi tribute
Gucci is one of a number of luxury houses in a holding pattern, with its newly appointed creative director yet to take up the role. What a holding pattern, however. On Wednesday night in its hometown of Florence — more specifically, in the lavish fresco-strewn palazzo where the brand keeps its huge archive — it presented its latest Cruise collection.
