GTA 6 screenshots recreated in Cyberpunk 2077 showcase Rockstar's next-gen visual leap
Source: Rockstar Games A committed Cyberpunk 2077 gamer has remade a number of the biggest Grand Theft Auto 6 screenshots released with Trailer 2 this month. Through the use of mods, they synchronized lighting, poses, and composition to closely replicate Rockstar's initial footage. The result isn't merely a nod to GTA 6's initial look, it's also an unmistakable demonstration of how much further Rockstar is taking graphical realism compared to other contemporary triple-A games. Cyberpunk recreations highlight GTA 6's visual transformation Image Via Reddit Reddit user Party-Scallion-189 undertook the ambitious task of recreating GTA 6 screenshots within the Cyberpunk 2077 universe. Utilizing character Panam as a proxy for Lucia, they replicated major trailer moments, from Lucia mid-punch to her lounging in a swimming pool. Multiple mods were employed to tweak character poses, facial expressions, lighting effects, and even camera angles, creating some very detailed side-by-side comparisons. Even though the creator insisted the intention wasn't to crown a victor in a graphics battle, fans couldn't help but observe vast contrasts. The GTA 6 screenshots, built upon Rockstar's in-game footage, have more realistic skin details, gentler natural lighting, and deeper environmental immersion. Even with Cyberpunk 2077's reputation for visuals, the comparison only serves to illustrate just how evolved GTA 6's visual fidelity already looks, particularly the fact that the game isn't due for release for another year. Record-breaking trailer sparks fan imagination through long wait The timing of this video endeavor could not be more apt. Rockstar's second GTA 6 trailer, which dropped on May 6, set internet records at more than 475 million views in 24 hours, creating unprecedented heat on platforms. In addition to it, Rockstar dropped more than 70 new images, providing fans with more than ample material to examine, remix, and re-imagine. With GTA 6 officially pushed back to May 26, 2026, fans are getting creative about what they can do in the meantime. From hunting for easter eggs to photo recreations such as this one, the community is only gaining steam while Rockstar remains silent. This remake of Cyberpunk 2077 is more than simply a cool-looking visual experiment, it's evidence of GTA 6's high level of production and dedication of its fan base. Even without gameplay, Rockstar has provided fans with enough to dream of the future. If these images are anything to go by, that future is amazing. The Cyberpunk 2077 sequel finally makes it to preproduction
Once Cyberpunk 2077 worked out its oh-so-many kinks , it was a damn good game. And more is on the way. CD Projekt Red said on Wednesday that its sequel has moved into pre-production. It wasn't a secret that a sequel was in the works. In 2022, CDPR shared a roadmap describing "Project Orion." It would "further develop the potential embodied by [the Cyberpunk 2077 ] universe." That's as clear as you can get without using the word "sequel." Now, CDPR is shedding the codename as development forges ahead. "Several weeks ago, the CD Projekt Red team responsible for the next big game set in the Cyberpunk universe completed the project's conceptual phase," the publisher wrote. "As a result, Cyberpunk 2 — previously known under the codename Project Orion — has progressed to pre-production." Of course, entering pre-production is still a long way from something you can play. Following the fiasco last time, expect CDPR to play it safe and take more time with the final stages. On a related note, CDPR said Phantom Liberty has sold 10 million copies. The massive expansion launched on PC and consoles in late 2023. It's part of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition , which includes the base game and all the DLC. That version arrived on PC and consoles in 2023. It will be heading to Switch 2 and macOS soon.

Poland's CD Projekt's 'Cyberpunk 2' Enters Preproduction Phase
Poland's biggest game developer CD Projekt said on Wednesday that the next big game set in the Cyberpunk universe, "Cyberpunk 2", has entered the preproduction phase. "Cyberpunk 2", on which 96 developers were working at the end of April, is a sequel to "Cyberpunk 2077" which debuted in December 2020 and has sold more than 25 million copies so far. Total sales of Cyberpunk's "Phantom Liberty" expansion have meanwhile surpassed 10 million copies, CD Projekt said. The company's first-quarter net profit fell 14.1% year-on-year to 86.0 million zlotys due to paying more tax than in the year-earlier period, missing analysts' expectations of 95 million zlotys, as compiled in a Reuters poll. Revenue for the period was flat at 226.3 million zlotys. "Cyberpunk 2077" will also be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 when it launches on June 5. CD Projekt is currently in the production phase of "The Witcher 4", a successor to "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt". The company sold over 60 million copies of "The Witcher 3" so far, which, together with expansions, generated 2.4 billion zlotys of revenue.
