New twist in Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row as explosive new allegation is 'revealed'

A huge new development in the Conor Maynard and Charlotte Chilton paternity row has come to light, five months after the pop star claimed he was not the father of her daughter Penelope. In a new document, reportedly seen by The Sun, Charlotte claims an 'unidentified male was present' when Conor's DNA sample was collected. The mother-of-one also alleges Conor 'switched testing locations last minute' and that her own DNA was not taken. In a standard DNA paternity test, at least two people need to provide samples: the child and the alleged father. Including the mother's sample is generally recommended for increased accuracy of the test. Charlotte has allegedly now urged a court-ordered DNA test to confirm the parentage of the little girl, who was born in October. According to the publication, Conor's representatives have insisted he has already offered to do a second paternity test, but outside of court. A source said: 'Charlotte was blindsided when Conor released the paternity result claiming he wasn't Penny's dad. 'Charlotte consulted lawyers and despite suffering shocking abuse from online trolls, was advised to remain silent. She's now ready to fight for Conor to take another paternity test. 'She claims the previous one should be discounted because it was not conducted under the controlled conditions agreed. 'Charlotte just wants this whole sorry saga over with and for the truth to come out. Her number one priority has always been, and always will be, Penny.' According to the publication, Charlotte has hired Coleen Rooney's Wagatha Christie lawyer Paul Lunt to be on standby for potential legal threats. A spokesman for Conor Maynard told The Sun: 'It's baffling. Conor's already agreed to another paternity test, so there's no need to drag this through the courts. 'Once a new test has been done hopefully Charlotte can finally put this behind her once and for all'. Daily Mail has contacted Charlotte and Conor's representatives for comment. A subsequent DNA test confirmed in March that Conor was not the child's father. Conor appeared on This Morning in May to explain the toll the paternity scandal had on him after Charlotte went on to say she doubted the accuracy of the test. He said: 'I was instantly painted as a dead-beat dad. My comments on my social media were all about that.' Conor added: 'Mental health is something I have struggled with for a huge portion of my life. 'And this year has been up there with my battle with it.'

‘Is my brother my son?': DNA bombshell after 10yo ‘raped' by mum

A sexual assault survivor who suspects his younger brother may be his son has received a bombshell update after a US court ordered a DNA test to uncover the truth. Logan Gifford, from Las Vegas, was just 10 years old when his mother, Doreene Gifford, first 'raped' him inside the family home. He endured the unimaginable at the hands of his own mother for six years, during which time, she gave birth to another son. In 2015, a 16-year-old Logan reported what was happening at home to police, with prosecutors later charging Doreene with sexual assault with a minor and incest. Doreene Gifford maintained her innocence and took an Alford plea on lesser charges, including attempted sex assault, incest and lewdness with a child under 14, People reports. An Alford plea, essentially a plea of no contest, means a defendant does not admit guilt, but accepts imposition of a sentence. Doreene was sentenced to 8-20 years in prison, according to 8 News Now. The judge also ordered Doreene to register as a sex offender. Logan, now 26, has become the full-time carer of his sibling – who is disabled – in January and subsequently filed a paternity case asking a judge to order an advanced DNA test to determine who is his brother's biological father. But after a judge ordered the genetic testing in May, the results have just come in, delivering an 'inconclusive' finding. Test results showed Logan and his father's DNA both matched 99.9 per cent to the sibling, leaving the court unable to determine paternity, a new report from 8 News Now said. DNA testing involving a parent and sibling is scientifically complex, as both Logan Gifford and his brother share the same DNA, making extracting a conclusive answer incredibly difficult. Following the results, the judge has offered Logan Gifford the option of pursuing more advanced testing, which could identify his sibling's biological father. Logan first started sharing his story as an effort to raise money to help his legal case, writing on GoFundMe that he is 'a survivor of a nightmare I never chose'. 'This isn't just about me anymore. I believe my brother might be my son, a haunting possibility tied to the abuse I suffered around the time he was conceived,' he wrote. 'I've filed a paternity petition to get answers, not just for me, but for him – he deserves the truth. 'The court process is tough, and with his cognitive struggles and our complicated family history, I need help to secure his future and give him the life he deserves.' Logan also spoke of his 'shame' growing up as a male sexual abuse survivor, explaining how he felt 'disbelief' at social services for 'missing the signs and left me unprotected'. 'Too many men suffer in silence, and I'm determined to change that,' he added. Logan previously described how he didn't have a 'traditional childhood' after being exposed to drug use from an early age and regular encounters with child protective services. The Nevada Parole Board granted Doreene Gifford parole in July, 2024. She was reportedly remanded into custody for a parole violation and later released, and now resides in Massachusetts.

WA dad who impregnated daughter, 14, has jail term reduced

EXCLUSIVE Warning: Graphic content A father who googled fake DNA tests after he impregnated his biological 14-year-old daughter has had his jail term reduced after the original sentence was found to be 'unjust'. The forklift driver from Western Australia, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in 2024 to 40 counts of sexual offending against his daughter, which came to light after the girl fell pregnant with his child. The man committed the offences between 2019 and 2022 while the girl was aged 11 to 14. He also pleaded guilty to five counts of possessing child exploitation material after filming several of the acts. In August 2024, he was sentenced to 14 years and six months in prison for the offending. However, the father appealed the sentence on the basis that he was only given a 10 per cent discount for an early guilty plea, arguing it should have been 25 per cent. The man's lawyer, Mark Gunning, told the court that a 10 per cent discount was 'manifestly inadequate' given that his client had spared the girl the need to testify at trial. WA Director of Public Prosecutions lawyer Natalie Sinton said the 10 per cent discount was not 'unreasonable' as the father had filmed his acts and the girl had given birth to his child, making the prosecution case 'overwhelmingly' strong. The WA Supreme Court appeals panel ruled the 10 per cent discount was 'unreasonable' and 'plainly unjust'. The panel resentenced the man and increased the discount to 22 per cent for counts 1, 2 and 3, and 20 per cent for the remaining counts – reducing the sentence to 12 years. 'As strong as the State's case was in relation to all of the counts, counts 1, 2 and 3 were slightly weaker, having regard to the fact that they were not videoâ€'recorded,' the panel decision stated. 'Brazen' offending During the appeal process, the court heard how the offending came to light after the girl's school reported the pregnancy. The daughter then confided in her mother, who had separated from the father in 2010, that the baby was his. The court heard how the father made several Google searches on his phone after being first interviewed by police in 2023, which included 'Can a mother refuse a paternity test Australia', 'What does a fake DNA test look like?', 'How long can a drug test pick up meth?' and 'Can police see deleted DMs?' He also read a news article which was entitled: 'Man jailed for fake DNA test to deny parentage of two sons.' A DNA test later confirmed the baby was his. The appeals panel pointed out in their decision that the offending was 'brazen'. 'Sometimes, it occurred when there were other children in the house. On one occasion, it occurred when there were other children in the room,' The WA Supreme Court decision stated. The 12-year sentence is backdated from March 28, 2023. He is already eligible for parole.

Vegas man shares heartbreaking story of trying to discover if brother is actually his son after accusing mom of abuse

A Las Vegas man's search for the truth about his family has returned inconclusive results. Logan Gifford, 26, believes his younger brother, 15, could be his son after claiming his mother Doreene Gifford began sexually assaulting him when he was 10. Doreene Gifford, was sentenced to eight to 20 years in jail after making an Alford plea, essentially a plea of no contest, on lesser charges, including attempted sex assault, 8 News Now reports. She has also registered as a sex offender and now lives in Massachusetts, according to the outlet. Earlier this year, Logan Glifford filed a paternity case asking for a judge to order an advanced DNA test to determine who the teenager's father is. That test was inconclusive, however. Logan Glifford said he and his father, Theodore, could both be the teenager's biological father, after their DNA both matched 99.9% to the sibling. At a Thursday hearing, family court Judge Vincent Ochoa said that the test results were unsurprising. 'I think we should have known that was going to come out that way from the very beginning,' Ochoa said, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The judge recommended further testing to ascertain who the teenager's father was. The judge awarded Logan Gifford temporary custody of his brother, as a temporary guardianship would have expired Thursday, according to the Review-Journal. Speaking to the Vegas outlet, Logan Gifford said that he would be praying over the issue, but pursuing further testing in order to get 'genetic clarity' for his brother. 'He's aware of what's going on and he understands why we're trying to get to the truth for him,' he said. 'Because this wasn't about me. This was about trying to get genetic answers for him.' A GoFundMe page set up by Logan Gifford to help him win custody and 'protect' his brother, who he currently lives with along with his wife and stepdaughter, has raised almost $2,000. In the page description, Logan Gifford describes the situation as 'a nightmare I never chose' and calls the idea of his brother being his son a 'haunting possibility.' 'The court process is tough, and with his cognitive struggles and our complicated family history, I need help to secure his future and give him the life he deserves,' Gifford wrote. He added that he was 'also speaking out for male survivors everywhere.' 'Growing up, I faced shame, disbelief, and a system that didn't see me—social services missed the signs and left me unprotected. Too many men suffer in silence, and I'm determined to change that,' he said. Despite the previous inconclusiveness, experts have said it is likely that further testing will provide answers for the Giffords. Arthur Beaudet, a past president of the American Society of Human Genetics, said such circumstances would require a higher level of investigation. 'This is a job not for the average lab that does paternity testing and disputes between individuals all the time,' he told the Review-Journal. 'This is a job for a top-notch expert in this area.'
