State weather bureau PAGASA issued a yellow rainfall warning for Metro Manila and four other areas on Monday morning due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat. Floods hit Metro Manila due to Habagat rains enhanced by Crising

Several areas in Metro Manila got flooded due to overnight heavy rains from the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) enhanced by Tropical Storm Crising. In Malabon City, floods were reported in Barangays Panghulo, Hulong Duhat, Concepcion, Catmon, Tañong, San Agustin, and Ibaba, the Malabon Public Information Office said, according to a report by Christian Maño on Dobol B TV. Meanwhile, the water level at Tenejeros Bridge was at 11.8 meters while that of C4 Bridge was at a critical level of 12.5 meters on Saturday morning. Parts of NBBS Kaunlaran, SIPAC, San Jose, Daanghari, San Roque, and Tanza 1 and 2 were flooded as of 8:15 a.m., according to the Malabon Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. In Manila, among the flooded areas were Padre Faura going to UN Avenue LRT station, Padre Faura intersection, Taft Avenue in front of National Bureau of Investigation, España Boulevard portions from M. Dela Fuente, Maceda, Blumentritt to Antipolo Street, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said, according to a report by Christian Maño on Super Radyo dzBB. The floods in these areas were gutter-deep and passable to all motor vehicles. Motorists however, tried to avoid going through the flooded areas to avoid having their vehicles stalled. Parts of Metro Manila hit by floods as Habagat rains persist

Several areas in Metro Manila were flooded Saturday as the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat continued to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms. Ankle-deep floods were seen along parts of Greenwoods Avenue in Pinagbuhatan, Pasig, as shared by YouScooper Pristina Jimenez. State weather bureau PAGASA had released a thunderstorm advisory for nearby provinces Rizal, Laguna, Batangas and Quezon. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), meanwhile, reported gutter-deep floods along EDSA Aurora tunnel northbound and EDSA Shaw tunnel earlier in the morning. These areas were seen to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms also due to the Habagat were felt in the rest of the country. Batanes and Babuyan Island in northernmost Luzon were feeling the effects of the trough of Tropical Storm Bising (international name: Danas), which is expected to reenter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday morning. Several commuters faced difficulty getting a ride amid the heavy rains in Metro Manila on Thursday morning. The affected roads were still passable to all types of vehicles despite the floods. Several areas were experiencing heavy rains due to a low pressure area (LPA) and the Southwest Monsoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said. Rainfall from 50 to 100 mm may be felt in Metro Manila, Pangasinan, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro between Wednesday and Thursday evening. Also, the same rainfall condition is expected in Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, and Ilocos Norte. 20 unwed mothers kasama ang kanilang mga anak, at 10 OFWs galing Dubai, nakauwi na ng Pilipinas. | via @bernadettereyes — DZBB Super Radyo (@dzbb) June 17, 2025 Twenty unwed Filipino mothers and their 23 children arrived Tuesday in the Philippines from Dubai amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, according to Bernadette Reyes' report on Super Radyo dzBB. Also with them were 10 overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who were supposed to go to Jordan to work as domestic workers. They will reportedly be given financial assistance amounting to P50,000 each as well as reintegration and livelihood assistance. Meanwhile, around 150 OFWs must be repatriated from Israel. The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration are now Coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs to secure their safe repatriation.
