7 months after 31-year treasure hunt for golden owl ended, sequel is delayed amid acrimony

The launch of a new mass treasure hunt for a golden owl, an iconic game that previously ended after more than three decades of searching, has been delayed but not cancelled, its French organiser says. Advertisement Launched in France in 1993, the last edition ended in October 2024 when the elusive golden owl was finally found after decades of searching by thousands of sleuths from around the world. 'The hunt has not been cancelled at all,' Michel Becker said this week, denying claims that had been circulating about 'Golden Owl 2', which was scheduled to begin in early May. 'Launching a game like this, in such a negative context, is not something that we can do. We want to work in a calmer climate, so we're giving ourselves some time to see what happens,' said Becker, the game's co-inventor. Hidden in 1993, the golden owl replica was discovered on October 3, 2024, making it the second longest treasure hunt ever organised. Streamer Young Dabo breaks down as Kai Cenat expels him over haircut

Image via: YouTube/ Kai Cenat A moment that turned unusual and emotion-charged has sparked debate throughout the Twitch world. Up-and-coming streamer Ibrahim, aka Young Dabo, was seemingly expelled from Streamer University, and all for a haircut. A Call That Sparked Controversy With this incident halfway through a haircut, Dabo received a call from an individual claiming to represent Streamer University. Recorded in a moment that quickly went viral, the caller said to Dabo: "Hello, Dabo? I'm calling in regards of Streamer University... We cannot accept that on campus. You're ugly as sh** with that haircut, so we're going to have to go ahead and give you an expelled letter. Have a good night." With the announcement stated so crudely and with such disdain, the stunned look appeared on Dabo's face as he cried out toward the barber in disbelief: "What did you do to me?!" For Young Dabo, the process was both public and personal. The stream captured his reaction: a mixture of disbelief and distress that assisted in engendering sympathy among fans who felt compelled to urge Kai Cenat for a clarification. What was supposed to be a party platform for growth is now on thin ice, questioning the very premise that makes it an entertainment show or a public display for humiliation. Indianapolis Colts' updated safety depth chart after latest roster move

Indianapolis Colts' updated safety depth chart after latest roster move After the Indianapolis Colts waived Marcel Dabo, what does the safety depth chart now look like? After the Indianapolis Colts waived Marcel Dabo, what does the safety depth chart now look like? Dabo had been on the Colts' practice squad the last three seasons as an International Pathway Player (IPP). As a designated IPP, Dabo received an exemption to be on the practice squad, which allowed the Colts to carry 17 players instead of the usual 16. However, he was not eligible to be added to the 53-man roster at any point or elevated on gameday. This was strictly a developmental role. During his tenure, Dabo did not play any regular-season snaps. In the preseason, he played 114 on defense, according to PFF, making six tackles. Dabo once again received the IPP designation for the 2025 season prior to his release. So, moving on from Dabo may not impact the 53-man roster, but it further highlights the overall lack of depth at this position group. While we know that Cam Bynum and Nick Cross will be the starters, behind them are Rodney Thomas, Daniel Scott, who has missed his first two NFL seasons due to injuries, and potentially Hunter Wohler, if the Colts don't keep him at linebacker. With only four--or maybe five--safeties on the roster, an addition prior to training camp to at least boost the numbers very well could be in play. Dabo Swinney Steals the Spotlight at Sold-Out Savannah Bananas Game in Death Valley

The Savannah Bananas took over Clemson's Death Valley on Saturday night and delivered a show for the ages. With 81,000 fans packing Memorial Stadium — the largest crowd in team history — the Bananas brought their unique brand of baseball, entertainment, and pure chaos to one of college football's most iconic venues. The highlight of the night came when the Bananas decided to honor one of Clemson's most beloved traditions: the 'Most Exciting 25 Seconds in College Football.' Players and performers loaded onto buses, circling Death Valley as part of the full game-day experience. Advertisement As the buses made the famous two right turns outside the stadium, the Bananas danced and celebrated inside, building anticipation. When they reached the top of the hill, the team unloaded, lined up, and prepared for their entrance — cameras rolling — ready to charge down the hill in true Tiger fashion. But nobody saw what happened next coming. Out of nowhere, Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney appeared at the top of the hill alongside the Bananas. As the cannon boomed, Swinney and the Bananas sprinted down the hill, with Dabo racing all the way to midfield, just like he does on game days. Along the way, he high-fived players and fired up the sold-out crowd, igniting an eruption of deafening cheers inside Memorial Stadium. It was a moment Clemson fans — and Banana Ball fans — won't soon forget. The Bananas faced off against their longtime rivals, the Party Animals, in a fast-paced, dance-filled game that featured everything from choreographed at-bats to a mid-inning conga line. It was a perfect marriage of Clemson's deep traditions and the Bananas' all-fun, no-rules brand of baseball. Even Clemson legend C.J. Spiller joined the show, jumping in on the dancing and celebrating with the Bananas. From Dabo's surprise appearance to the electric atmosphere inside Death Valley, the night proved once again why the Savannah Bananas are changing the game — and why Clemson fans are always ready for a good time. Indianapolis Colts receive roster exemption; can carry 91 players on offseason roster

Indianapolis Colts receive roster exemption; can carry 91 players on offseason roster The Indianapolis Colts have reportedly received a 2025 roster exemption for safety Marcel Dabo. #Colts given roster exemption for international defensive back Marcel Dabo — Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson_NFL) May 8, 2025 The Indianapolis Colts have received a 2025 roster exemption for safety Marcel Dabo, according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC-TV in Houston. The Colts are receiving this exemption for Dabo, who is from Germany, as part of the NFL's International Pathway Program (IPP). "Established in 2017, the IPP program aims to provide elite international athletes with the opportunity to compete at the NFL level, improve their skills, and ultimately work to earn a spot on an NFL roster." To learn more about the International Player Pathway program, click here. With the roster exemption, the Colts are able to carry 91 players on their roster through training camp rather than the usual 90. After training camp, if Dabo does not make the 53-man roster, he can be eligible for the IPP practice squad exemption. This then allows the Colts to have 17 practice-squad players instead of 16. As an exempt practice squad player, Dabo cannot be added to the 53-man roster, elevated on game days, or be signed off the practice squad by another team. The 2025 season will be Dabo's fourth with the team. He joined the Colts in 2022 and has been a part of the IPP each year. Dabo has played 114 preseason snaps on defense during that span with six tackles, according to PFF. The safety position for the Colts is one that is a bit thin currently. Behind Cam Bynum and Nick Cross on the depth chart are Dabo, Rodney Thomas, and Daniel Scott.
