David Strelec drops fresh Celtic transfer hint as forgotten star vows to return 'a complete player'

The Hoops saw a £7.5million bid rejected for the Slovakian striker back in January David Strelec insists he is more than happy at Slovan Bratislava - but admits he hopes Celtic come back in for him with an improved offer. The Slovakian frontman was the subject of a £7.5million bid from Brendan Rodgers ' side late in the January transfer window that was knocked back by Bratislava, who were said to be holding out for £9million. ‌ After winning the Slovakian top-flight league at a canter Strelec's team will once again take part in the qualifying stage of the Champions League next season, having come up against Celtic in the revamped group stage last September where they were hammered 5-1 at Parkhead. ‌ The 24-year-old enjoyed a fine campaign in front of goal, bagging 24 goals in 47 matches in all competitions. Rodgers is likely to revisit his search for another striker this summer following Kyogo 's January exit to Rennes and Strelec - who has also been linked with Middlesbrough - has dropped a hint that he will still be open to a move. Asked if we would be happy to remain with Bratislava after their 1-0 win against FC Kosice on Saturday, he said: "I think so. The transfer window isn't even open yet, so it'll probably be a while. "I'm happy about it, but I'm mainly focused on reality. I'm happy at Slovan and I'm at home here. We haven't even talked about it with the management yet, we'll see how it goes. Maybe an even better offer will come." Elsewhere, forgotten Celtic star Marco Tilio insists he will come back to Parkhead a more complete player. The Aussie winger has enjoyed a productive loan spell back in his home country with Melbourne City, registering five goals and five assists in 17 games to helo his side reach the A-League finals. ‌ And with the player set to return to Glasgow for pre-season in July, Tilio, 23, has also revealed he has been in constant dialogue with the Hoops over his progress. He said: "If I'm being completely honest, I think I'm in a better position now than what I was back then. ‌ "I've matured a lot in the last couple of years. I had my first injury going over to Scotland, and pretty much ridden all those waves, and here I am now. "I feel more mature. I feel more a complete player now, and understanding of the game a lot better. I speak to obviously team managers, and there's a loans manager who reaches out after most games. "Since I moved to Celtic, I've just been looking to find consistent game time, consistently in playing and in my body feeling confident in that again. "Here I am now in that position, and I'm really glad where I am. Just confident, consistent game time, and I know what I can bring to the team."
