Tesco shoppers have less than a week to earn 1,000 'bonus' Clubcard points
Clubcard users will need to act fast. Tesco shoppers can earn even more Clubcard points with one neat trick. However, they have less than one week left to ensure they don't miss out. Those who are signed up to the supermarket's popular loyalty scheme can earn points on their shopping, with a voucher worth £5 being made up of 500 Clubcard points. These vouchers can then be used to save money on any future shops both in store and online, or they can be doubled in value when redeemed against one of the retailer's Rewards Partners. However, Tesco is now offering its customers an extra 1,000 'bonus' points, worth £10 of vouchers, when they choose to spend their vouchers with one of their 'Days Out' partner companies. This means that families can earn the extra points and book a fun trip at a range of popular places such as Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures, and more. It is worth noting that the incentive will only be available until Tuesday, July 29, with the extra 1,000 points being credited to the eligible Clubcard account by Sunday, October 19. To qualify for the extra £10 worth of points, members will need to exchange a minimum voucher worth £5 for a Days Out Clubcard Rewards Partner code either through the Tesco website or app. Shoppers don't even need to redeem their extra points on a day out, as one Martin Lewis Money Saving Expert has advised that bargain hunters don't need to book a day out to reap the benefits. In the latest edition of the MSE newsletter, a financial expert has explained that, once the extra 1,000 points are transferred to the Clubcard account on October 19, they can be used to get £10 off a food shop. They can also be used to get £20 off with any of the supermarket's Rewards Partners, just not the 'Days Out' partners. This means they can still be redeemed against the likes of Disney+, RAC, Virgin Atlantic and much more. As is the case with all Clubcard vouchers issued, they will be valid for two years from the date they were issued. However, shoppers looking to save them up can extend them when they make a small purchase on the Tesco Clubcard website, with the remaining balance being credited back as points. These will then be reissued as new vouchers when a new batch is issued after the two year expiry date, For example, a 50p purchase on a £10 voucher will then be reissued as £9.50. Tesco's Clubcard scheme currently allows for its members to earn one point for every £1 spent in store and online, or for every £2 spent on fuel at one of its forecourt. A minimum of 150 points is needed to earn a voucher worth £1.50. First launched in 1995, the largest UK supermarket's point-based scheme is now said to be used by 20million households across the country. For more information on how to earn the extra 1,000 points with a Days Out Rewards Partner, shoppers can visit the Tesco website.

Martin Lewis' MSE shares Clubcard trick to turn £5 worth of points into £30
If you've been saving up your Tesco Clubcard points, now is the time to cash in. Martin Lewis's Money Saving Expert has shared a simple trick that can boost your Clubcard balance, and it's a 'no-brainer'. Until the end of the month, Tesco is offering an extra 1,000 points (worth £10 when spent in Tesco) to anyone who swaps 500 Clubcard points (worth £5) for a Days Out Reward Partner code, which offer customers tickets to a range of UK attractions. Tesco Clubcard already allows members to double the value of their points when they exchange them for a Reward Partner code — and now, you'll get an extra 1,000 points, equivalent to £10, too. This means, for just 500 points you'll end up with the £10 Days Out code, plus the bonus 1,000 points. Even if you're not planning on going on your day out, it's still worth it, as you don't need to book or attend anything to get the bonus. The code can get you £10 of partner vouchers to redeem against tickets for places including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, The London Eye, Chessington World of Adventures and more. Then, if you're really savvy, you could use the 1,000 bonus and exchange for another Rewards Partner voucher — this time, from any of the supermarket's partners — which will then be doubled to the value of £20, as per Tesco's regular policy. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video This means that with just the 500 points (or £5) you started with, you've ended up with vouchers equivalent to £30. The 1,000 bonus offer is only available until Tuesday July 29, and shoppers can expect to see the bonus hitting their Clubcard accounts by October 19. The Days Out Reward Partner codes are valid for six months, so you can use them later in the year, while the Tesco Clubcard vouchers are valid for two years. More Trending However, MSE has yet another clever trick to extend Clubcard vouchers. If your Clubcard vouchers are due to run out and you don't want to use them yet, you can simply spend a small amount, and the remaining balance is credited back to your Clubcard as points. MSE confirms they'll then be reissued as a new voucher with an expiry date of up to two years in the future. So, if you spend 50p from a £10 voucher, you'll get £9.50 as new vouchers. View More » 'There's no min spend, but the aim's to shell out as little as possible,' the website states. 'A good option might be a 50p restaurant voucher (worth £1 at your chosen restaurant).'
