Netflix's Wednesday fans share huge Lady Gaga plot theory as star missing from first part of season 2
Wednesday season 2 part one was released on Netflix yesterday but fans were disappointed to discover that Lady Gaga does not feature in the first four episodes of the show. Netflix's Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega is back with a bang for season two with the first part of the eight-part season already in the number one spot on the streaming platform's top 10 list after just 24 hours. However, fans were disappointed to discover that Lady Gaga does not star in the first part of the show, which was released on Wednesday August 6. The Poker Face hitmaker was listed as part of an exciting series of guest stars who were being added to the cast. Other names included Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd and Haley Joel Osment, all of whom appear in the first part of the season, with Gaga nowhere to be seen. Details of the singer's appearance have been kept under top secret over at Netflix HQ with no official show stills yet of her character. The Star is Born actress is confirmed to be playing Rosaline Rotwood, who's described as a 'legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday'. However, fans will have to patiently wait for her guest appearance in the second part of season two, which is set to drop in September. Wednesday viewers are also keen to hear Gaga's new song Dead Dance, which will feature in the show next month as fans have speculated that it could be a major element in trying to replicate season one's viral dance moment. Taking to X to share their theories, a Lady Gaga fan account suggested: "What if Enid dies and Wednesday search for how to make her alive and finds Gaga's character and she tells her she has to do a DEAD DANCE to make her not dead anymore. '"Gaga and Jenna do it together, works for viral moments." Another fan echoed this sentiment as they wrote: "Maybe another Bloody Mary like situation is going to happen with Dead Dance? I can imagine Gaga & Jenna's characters having a viral moment in the series while the song is being played." While Wednesday fans have already polished off the first four episodes, many were left frustrated that the season had been split in half and that they would need to wait even longer for Gaga's arrival. One questioned on X: "Is Gaga in the first half of Wednesday or not?" Another wrote :"Watching Wednesday… where is GAGA." A third fumed: "If Lady Gaga Is in Part 2, then I'll wait to resubscribe to Netflix in September". A fourth dramatically stated: "Just watched Wednesday and Lady Gaga is not in the first part and my entire life ruined in that moment now I have to wait till September." Gaga's feature in the show was confirmed back in May when she stepped out at a Netflix fan event in Los Angeles for a Wednesday-themed performance of Zombieboy from her album Mayhem. Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough revealed that Gaga's guest appearance came about as a result of the first season's viral dance (with moves inspired by Siouxsie Sioux and Bob Fosse, among others), which TikTokers set to her deep cut track Bloody Mary and was credited with the show becoming a smash hit, the Metro reports. Gough told The Hollywood Reporter. she said: "She was interested, we were interested. 'But she's Lady Gaga, she's very busy. So we were able to work out a character for her to play, a time for her to come and do it. "We all know she's an amazing actress, so we were just thrilled that she could come and play in the sandbox." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Meanwhile, Ortega described Lady Gaga as 'unbelievably sweet and giving'. The 22-year-old also hinted that Gaga's screen appearance may just be a brief affair as she told E! News: "To be able to spend a day with her shooting was an absolute dream." In the same interview, Catherine Zeta-Jones said: "I think just having her presence on the isle of Ireland just lifted everybody up. She's a queen. She's on the level to be in her presence for any amount of time is very memorable." Wednesday season 2 is available to watch on Netflix now with the second part arriving on September 3.

Wednesday fans baffled by Lady Gaga's season 2 role as they beg for answers
Jenna Ortega is back in Netflix's Wednesday season 2, with the first part of an eight-episode season now out – but don't expect to see Lady Gaga just yet. The Born This Way hitmaker was part of a raft of exciting guest stars in the cast, with Thandiwe Newton, Christopher Lloyd and Haley Joel Osment – all of whom appear in the first part of the season. Details of Lady Gaga's appearance have been kept under the thickest of wraps over at Netflix HQ, with no official show stills yet of her character. But we do at least know who she will be playing. Her character Rosaline Rotwood has been described as a 'legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday'. The bad news is that Lady Gaga does not appear in part 1 of season 2, with her guest appearance saved for the second half which drops in September. Fans will also have to wait until next month for Gaga's new song Dead Dance, which will feature in the show and is rumoured to reference her massive hit Abracadabra. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Even though the first batch of episodes only dropped this morning, Wednesday obsessives have already started tearing through them and have been disappointed to find no Gaga. Taking to X, @esclumi wrote: 'Is Gaga in the first half of Wednesday or not,' as @WitnesSimo echoed: 'Watching Wednesday… where is GAGA.' 'If Lady Gaga Is in Part 2, then I'll wait to resubscribe to Netflix in September,' tweeted @imissportmore. @GagaAvasMAYHEM cryptically shared: 'So much foreshadowing easter eggs leading up to Gaga's appearance.' Gaga's guest appearance in the show was confirmed in May, when she stepped out at a Netflix fan event in Los Angeles for a Wednesday-themed performance of Zombieboy from her album Mayhem. Wednesday co-creator Alfred Gough confirmed that Gaga's guest appearance came about as a result of last season's viral dance (with moves inspired by Siouxsie Sioux and Bob Fosse, among others), which TikTokers set to her deep cut track Bloody Mary and was credited with the show becoming a smash hit. Senior TV Reporter Rebecca Cook shares her take… As virtually every interview has assured us, this season is darker, grittier and generally a 'No More Miss Nice Wednesday' type of affair. After saving the school last season, Wednesday (Ortega, as unblinkingly good as ever) returns a B-list celeb with a stalker to reckon with. She's also started crying ink tears, which the NHS is curiously lacking advice on. Plus, there's a literal murder of deadly one-eyed crows causing havoc, furthering Alfred Hitchcock's scary bird agenda. So the plot has bulked up, but we're not here for the macguffin mystery as much as the world itself. With Tim Burton's maximalist gothic direction, the show is stylish, witty, and lushly-set (in new filming location Ireland). Our main gripe is the decision to isolate Wednesday. We lose something by the Addams family being so divided and largely sequestered from normie society. The moments she bumps up against it – one sequence where Wednesday terrorises a driving instructor stands out – make you realise that is where most of the fun lies. 'She was interested, we were interested,' Gough told The Hollywood Reporter. 'But she's Lady Gaga, she's very busy. So we were able to work out a character for her to play, a time for her to come and do it. Wednesday Season 2 X review: The deadpan detective of Nevermore is officially back. Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 has just dropped on Netflix, and the new batch of episodes (four in total) is already pulling fans back into the twisted halls of Nevermore Academy. If you haven't watched the new episodes yet, consider this your official warning. Plot details, character arcs, and fan theories ahead. The only thing spookier than a Season 2 twist is having it spoiled before you hit play. Here's what people who managed to compromise their sleep and ditch their work on X are saying about Wednesday Season 2 so far. What Wednesday Season 2 Part 1 Is All About Think of Nevermore Academy as a gothic garden where danger blooms in every shadow. Jenna Ortega returns as Wednesday, navigating a darker mystery intertwined with Addams family lore. Season 2 raises the stakes with new enemies and unexpected allies. Directed by a mix of talent including Tim Burton protégés and Jenna herself as executive producer, the show features returning favourites—Catherine Zeta‑Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, and Moosa Mostafa—and features new names like Steve Buscemi, Thandiwe Newton, Joanna Lumley, and Lady Gaga, who drops an original song titled 'Dead Dance'. The vibe is richer, the suspense deeper, and the story more entangled than ever. Wednesday Season 2 X review: Fans call Jenna Ortega's show 'fire' So far, reactions have been pouring in, and while not everyone agrees on everything, one thing is clear: Wednesday still has the internet in a chokehold. Here's what people are saying: One fan gushed, "I don't have the words to properly express how glad I am about Jenna's involvement this season and how proud I am of her performance and all of her hard work. Her portrayal of Wednesday this season has made me fall in love with her all over again. She is phenomenal. Everyone so far has really brought it, though! Every single character on screen had me enthralled. I don't know how I'm going to survive a month until Part 2.' I don't have the words to properly express how glad I am about Jenna's involvement this season, and how proud I am of her performance and all of her hard work. Everyone… A second added with equal enthusiasm, 'Sighs, Season 2 of Wednesday is so peak so far, AND THE SECOND PART TEASER?? I see either Tyler's death or Tyler's redemption LMAO.' Sighs season 2 of wednesday is so peak so far, ANS SECOND PART TEASER?? I see either tyler death or tyler redemtion LMAO But not everyone is thrilled with every storyline. Wednesday Season 2 Part 2 — episodes 5 through 8 — is set to premiere on September 3, 2025, exactly one month after Part 1.
