New on Prime Video in June 2025 — 5 movies and shows to stream this month
A new month means many things, but in this specific instance, it means fresh Prime Video titles are coming our way. At the time of writing, Amazon hasn't yet released the streaming service's full June 2025 schedule, so we've tracked down some of the top titles you can look forward to streaming this month ourselves. One of them is "Deep Cover," a new London-set comedy crime caper starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed. Plus, there's a new adaptation of "We Were Liars" to look forward to, and, in late June, Prime Video is treating us to a "Countdown," an explosive new crime thriller series. Not seeing anything to add to your watchlist? Be sure to check out our round-ups of the best movies and shows on Prime Video for more recommendations. Here are the five new movies and shows coming to Prime Video in June 2025 that I think you should consider adding to your watchlist. "American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans" is a feature-length documentary that recounts NASCAR's 2023 endeavor to complete the centenary edition of the legendary endurance race with an American stock car. At the time, NASCAR CEO Jim France recruited NASCAR's franchise's most successful team to build, modify, and race the Chevrolet Camaro car in this grueling challenge. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. With the aid of world-class drivers Jenson Button, Jimmie Johnson and Mike Rockefeller, Hendrick Motorsports strove to turn the car into a vehicle capable of rising to the occasion. And in this new release, you can learn all about this story of innovation and determination on Prime Video. Stream "American Thunder: NASCAR to Le Mans" on Prime Video from June 12 If you're looking for some adrenaline-pumping entertainment, Prime Video's upcoming crime thriller "Countdown" has you covered. Created by Derek Haas (exec producer of the "One Chicago" and "FBI" franchises), "Countdown" is a new action-packed show that sees an undercover team enter a race against time to save the lives of millions living in Los Angeles. LAPD detective Mark Meachum ("Supernatural", "The Boys") is drafted into the secret task force after a Department of Homeland Security officer is murdered in broad daylight, and the hunt for the killer uncovers a far more sinister plot. Expect stunts, shoot-outs and more, and look forward to the series' three-episode premiere this June. Stream "Countdown" on Prime Video from June 25 "Deep Cover" is my most anticipated Prime Video release of the month, as the combination of an off-beat pitch (comedians go deep undercover) and the core cast involved makes for a winning combo. Tom Kingsley's upcoming comedy follows three improv comics — teacher Kat (Bryce Dallas Howard) and her students (Orlando Bloom and "Ted Lasso" star Nick Mohammed) — as they accept a dangerous mission from a London undercover cop (Sean Bean). Together, they're dispatched to infiltrate London's gangland, using their "skills" to impersonate dangerous criminals. Everything I've seen so far suggests it's gonna be a fun time, and I can't wait to see what's in store. Stream "Deep Cover" on Prime Video from June 12 "Head Over Heels" is a new Prime Video K-drama billed as a combination of "heart-fluttering romance with supernatural intrigue." The series revolves around Park Seong-A (Cho Yi-hyun), a high school student leading a double life: by day, she's a normal pupil, but by night, she's a powerful shamaness. Her life takes a surprising turn when she crosses paths with a handsome new transfer student, Bae Gyeon-U (Choo Young-woo), who suffers from an unlucky fate. Park Seong-A sees a vision that suggests his death is imminent, and, after falling head over heels for the new boy, she vows to save his life. Stream "Head Over Heels" on Prime Video from June 23 "We Were Liars" is an adaptation of E. Lockhart's bestselling YA novel of the same name that follows Cadence Sinclair Eastman (Emily Alyn Lind) and her inner circle, called the Liars. The Sinclairs are New England royalty, known for sharing an enviable bond, for good looks, and for their wealth. But after her life is changed by a mysterious accident, it seems that everyone Cadence knows, including her beloved Liars, has something to hide. Excited to see the book brought to life? Look forward to binge-watching "We Were Liars" in June, as all eight episodes are being dropped at once. Stream "We Were Liars" on Prime Video from June 18

New to stream in June: 'The Bear' returns, ‘Squid Games' ends and a new vision for ‘Predator'
The weather isn't the only thing heating up in June. The Netflix cultural phenomenon 'Squid Game' is set to launch its final season and the Hulu comedy-drama 'The Bear' is returning for its highly anticipated fourth season. Meanwhile, crime comes in both comedy and drama flavors this month thanks to 'Deep Cover' and 'Echo Valley.' Whatever your taste, streaming offerings on Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video have something for everyone. 'Predator: Killer of Killers' Director Dan Trachtenberg ('Prey') returns to the 'Predator' franchise with an animated anthology film that explores more humans who have dueled the alien hunters throughout history. This time, a ninja in feudal Japan, a young Viking warrior and a Black American World War II pilot all try to survive encounters with alien stalkers bent on acquiring trophies. This is the first time a film in the series has been animated, but the Predators look no less terrifying as drawings than they do in real life. Watch it: Animated. Streaming on Hulu and Disney+ starting June 6. 'Ocean with David Attenborough' David Attenborough is synonymous with quality nature documentaries, and 'Ocean' looks like no exception. In this new film, Attenborough looks at the increasingly dire state of the Earth's sea, plagued by overfishing, reef bleaching and other manmade catastrophes. However, Attenborough also highlights remarkable recent discoveries that make him feel a healed world is still possible. 'Deep Cover' Imposter syndrome got you down? Check out the adventures of three British improv comedians who get recruited by the police to infiltrate the London underworld. Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed star as three hapless and struggling actors who agree to play the role of their lives: criminal masterminds. Despite having the law enforcement instincts of Sunday school teachers, they managed to 'yes and…' their way deep into the local rackets. Tom Kingsley ('The Darkest Universe') directs. Watch it: Comedy. Streaming on Prime Video starting June 12. 'Echo Valley' From writer Brad Ingelsby ('Mare of Easttown') comes a new crime thriller about the lengths a mother will go to in order to protect her daughter. Julianne Moore ('Still Alice') wakes one night at her remote horse farm to find her daughter (Sydney Sweeney, 'Euphoria') at her door, covered in her boyfriend's blood and begging for help. The two navigate a rocky relationship and the consequences of murder as suspicion grows. 'The Bear,' Season 4 The chef comedy 'The Bear' has quickly become one of the most compelling watches on streaming, and Season 4 is rumored to be the final entry. Last season left off with a cliffhanger as an all-important review of the family restaurant in the Chicago Tribune threatened to close the doors. Meanwhile, head chef Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) alienates everyone around him with antisocial behavior. Season 4 will show him trying to rally his family, friends and coworkers once again to turn the Bear into something special, if he can only curb his self-destructive tendencies. 'Squid Game,' Season 3 The long and twisted Korean survival drama 'Squid Game' is ending this month on Netflix. Last season ended with a cliffhanger as Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) led an uprising against the terrifying Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who runs the deadly games that players compete in for a large cash prize. The last season will deal with Gi-hun's continued quest to end the games against impossible odds. If you've been holding off exploring the 'Squid Games' world, now is the perfect time to dive in. Prime Video drops fast-paced Deep Cover trailer with House of The Dragon and Black Mirror stars
Sean Bean will be starring in Amazon Prime's new action comedy Deep Cover, working alongside a host of big names, including two House of The Dragon stars Prime Video is all set to launch a star-studded action comedy that promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats. Deep Cover, featuring Game Of Thrones and Troy star Sean Bean in a pivotal role, released its official trailer earlier this week. Bean will portray an undercover cop who seeks the assistance of an improv comedy teacher to infiltrate London's underworld. The 66-year-old actor will share screen space with actress Bryce Dallas Howard, who plays the teacher questioning her missed opportunities when she encounters Bean's character. Howard is known for her roles as Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man 3 (2007), Claire Dearing in the Jurassic World series, Hilly Holbrook in The Help, and the Director in Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Her character Kat enlists two of her students to impersonate dangerous criminals to extract the information they need. Kat's "students" are played by none other than Orlando Bloom of The Lord Of The Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean fame, and Nick Mohammed from The Martian and Douglas Is Cancelled. Joining them are two stars from House Of The Dragon, Paddy Considine who plays King Viserys I Targaryen, and Sonoya Mizuno, known for her role as Mysaria "The White Worm". Judging by the trailer, it's going to be a wild ride for Kat and her trio of "criminals". The trailer kicks off with Kat, looking bewildered, teaching an improv class and emphasising the importance of "being in the moment". Little does she know, Bean's enigmatic undercover cop is amongst the audience, and he later approaches her with a proposition: "I'm looking to work with someone just like you." Kat mistakenly assumes he's a talent scout until he unveils his badge, clarifying that he is actually a "detective sergeant". As the plot thickens and they face genuine mobsters, Mohammed's character is gripped by fear and exclaims, "I think I'm going to die!". However, Bloom's persona is there to bolster his pal's courage, reassuring him: "No. You were so good. You were so committed. It was inspiring." The question remains: How long can these rookie improv actors maintain their façade before things turn truly dangerous?
