FCC invites public input on revising or eliminating regulations

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) – The Federal Communications Commission is asking for input from the public on which regulations should be revised or eliminated. The FCC regulates media, telecommunications companies and local television stations like KLFY. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said he wants the public to weigh in as part of the 'Delete, Delete, Delete' initiative, which aims to streamline the FCC's rules. Carr announced the effort last month saying, 'For too long, administrative agencies have added new regulatory requirements in excess of their authority or kept lawful regulations in place long after their shelf life had expired. The FCC is committed to ending all of the rules and regulations that are no longer necessary. And we welcome the public's participation and feedback throughout this process.' The FCC is accepting comments from the public through April 11. If you want to learn more about the FCC's 'Delete, Delete, Delete' initiative, you can visit this website.
