Kathryn Thomas admits she 'sleeps better' since landing her own radio show
TV and radio host Kathryn Thomas has said she "sleeps better" since she landed her own radio show. The former Operation Transformation star now presents her own breakfast radio show on Dublin's Q102 called The Morning Show with Kathryn Thomas, which runs from 7am-10am daily. And despite the gruelling 5am starts, the Co Carlow native said her new routine makes her sleep much better at night. She said: "Things are amazing. Loving the job. I'm just back from Santorini. "I hadn't been sleeping great for the last year. And, you know, lots of different things going on. And then when you get into a routine of which I've never had before. "So I've gotten to 46 years of age, and I've never had a job where I have to be somewhere Monday to Friday, right? And I was like, 'oh, routine won't suit me'. And then I had this chat with Dermot (Whelan) on his podcast, and he was like, 'routine suits everybody, you know?' "I'm in bed at 9pm, and I'm asleep by 10pm, so I'm actually up at 5.20am, so I'm sleeping better now. "I'm sleeping more than I would have for the last couple of years. I'm actually feeling more energetic than I have done so I'm delighted. "I don't know whether it's kind of also the job, you know. So maybe that will wear off after six months." Kathryn previously told us that landing her morning radio show comes down to timing. She said at the time: "It comes down to timing. I mean there was no way when I was doing Operation Transformation and the schedule that consumed that I would be able to do a daily breakfast radio show. "I always filled in in the it was never breakfast radio. My focus was there at Radio 1 and focussing on covering for them. "My big priority was TV but then when I really thought about it, I knew my time in Operation Transformation was done and I knew if I didn't close one door, another one wouldn't open. "As a mom, things can come in on top of you in terms of trying to parent and trying to work and trying to keep all the balls in the air without sitting down and saying 'what do I want'. "If you asked me would I do breakfast radio when I had no children, I would've said 'not on your nelly'," she said laughing at the time. "But the opportunity came up and this was the right time to start something new."

Brendan Rodgers provides update on Celtic future talks
The 52-year-old is about to enter the final year of his Parkhead contract. Rodgers assured supporters last month that he would be '200 per cent' in charge next season. Read more: Discussions will soon take place about what may happen beyond that, though: "I'm sure at some point, I'll sit with Dermot and the board, and we'll have a chat around the future," he told Sky Sports. "But we haven't touched on that yet. The focus has been purely on being successful this season. We'll arrive into the summer with real positivity and a real positive energy. I think that's what's important." It remains to be seen where Celtic may look to strengthen in the transfer market this summer. Kieran Tierney will return to the club on a free transfer, although Rodgers has conceded that he may be forced to let go of some of his top talents. Indeed, the Irishman has grown to learn that Celtic can't keep hold of their key men for prolonged spells: "Having now come through the first spell to the second spell, I now know 100 per cent, you'll lose some of your best players," he said. "But they'll always be replaced, like the manager can be replaced. "Celtic is in a great moment as a football club both on and off the pitch, and it's my job to drive that forward."

This Morning's Dermot O'Leary replaced with unlikely guest as Alison Hammond makes on air blunder
Since it's bank holiday Monday, usual hosts Ben and Cat were replaced by Alison and one familiar face. Dermot O'Leary was replaced on This Morning as Alison Hammond was joined by a familiar face for the bank holiday episode - but she made a huge blunder when she opened the show. Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley usually present the show through the week and Alison and Dermot cover a Friday but since it is a bank holiday, Alison was drafted in. Instead of her usual presenting partner Dermot, she was joined by Paddy McGuinness. Opening the show, Alison told viewers, "Happy Friday!" before realising her mistake. She explained: "Look who's here! It's only Paddy McGuinness, hello darling! How are you?" He joked: "Hello, I'm alright! Friday, life is good, innit?" Alison replied: "Sorry, sorry, I've wished the whole week away haven't I? It's bank holiday Monday, so every time I come in obviously I'm the Friday guy so it feels like a Friday, but it's so lovely to have you!" Brendan Rodgers details 'multiple reasons' for Celtic return
Rodgers provoked anger and upset among the Hoops support when he cut short his first spell at the the club to head back to the English Premier League with Leicester. The reaction was increased because of the timing of the exit - when the club was on the brink of their eighth league title in a row and closing in on 10-in-a-row, which they ultimately ended up missing out on without him. Finding himself out of work after four years at Leicester, Rodgers completed a sensational return to Parkhead in the summer of 2023 after Ange Postecoglou's departure. While exciting some supporters, others made it clear they did not want the Northern Irishman back because of how he had left. It didn't take him long to win them back over by exerting Celtic's dominance yet again by winning a double last season, which could now be followed up by a treble. Speaking ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen which could clinch that, the 52-year-old spoke about his return to the club two years ago. Growing up a Celtic guy and had a wonderful first spell here, for that to be my story..I never really wanted that. "I always wanted to come back. I didn't know when that was going to be." Asked if he felt that would be possible, he added: "I hoped it would. There was never a guarantee because obviously if people don't want you back then you're not going to be. "But I was very thankful I had a really good relationship with Dermot (Desmond) and the board first time, in particular with Dermot, and his confidence and belief in me never wavered. "So yeah, I always wanted to come back and for multiple reasons. Obviously one of them being I wanted Celtic to do well in Europe and I wanted us to bring Celtic into Europe and be respectable and have credibility. "So that was a big factor, whilst looking to dominate still domestically because that's your bread and butter."

Brendan Rodgers 'always' eyed Celtic return after sour ending as honest boss admits 'I never wanted that legacy'
Rodgers knew he had to win some disgruntled Hoops fans back over when he returned to Glasgow's East End Brendan Rodgers admits he always envisioned himself coming back to Celtic because he wanted a more fitting legacy than the nature of his departure the first time around afforded him. After leading the Hoops to domestic Trebles in 2017 and 2018, the forme r Liverpool boss infuriated sections of the Parkhead fanbase when he jumped ship to join Leicester City in March 2019 in the midst of his team's push for another trophy sweep. The Irishman spent the next five years with the Tigers, memorably guiding them to glory in the FA Cup in 2021. However, just two years later Rodgers left Leicester just weeks before they relegated from the Premier League. Rodgers sealed his return to Celtic three months later and claimed that he had knocked back offers from England's top-flight and abroad in favour of coming back to Glasgow's East End. But the 52-year-old concedes he understood the trepidation from some surrounding his arrival. Speaking to James McFadden for BBC Sport Scotland ahead of the Scottish Cup final against Aberdeen, he said: "I knew the feeling when I left and I never wanted that to be my legacy here at Celtic. "Growing up as a Celtic guy who had a wonderful first spell here, for that to be my story, I never really wanted that. "I'd always wanted to come back but I didn't know when it was going to be. "I hoped it would, there was never a guarantee because obviously if people don't want you back, then it wasn't going to be. "But I was very thankful (that) I had a really good relationship with Dermot (Desmond) and the board when I was here the first time.
