vivo X Fold5 and X200 FE make their way to India
The X Fold5 and X200 FE from vivo were announced for the Indian market earlier today. X Fold5 is the maker's slimmest and lightest book-style foldable to date. It packs a big 6,000mAh Si/C battery with 90W charging, triple 50MP cameras, an 8.03' inner display and a 6.5-inch cover panel (both LTPO OLED). The vivo X Fold5 It is considerably slimmer than its predecessor at 9.2mm folded and 4.3mm unfolded and uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. The device also packs a trio of 50MP cameras and boasts an IP68/69 water and dust resistance. vivo X200 FE X200 FE comes in Luxe Grey, Frost Blue and Amber Yellow colors. The 12/256GB trim starts at INR 54,999 ($640) while the 16/512GB model is INR 59,999 ($698). Open sales start on July 23 from vivo and partnering retailers. vivo X200 FE and X Fold5's India launch date announced
Last month, we exclusively reported that the vivo X200 FE and vivo X Fold5 will be introduced in India on the same day during the week of July 13, meaning anytime between July 14 and 19. vivo today corroborated our report, announcing that the vivo X200 FE and vivo X Fold5 will launch in India on July 14. The vivo X Fold5 will be available in a single Titanium Gray color in India, whereas the X200 FE will come in Luxe Black and Amber Yellow colors. While the color options for both smartphones in India differ from those in other countries, the specs will remain the same. Key highlights of the vivo X200 FE include the Dimensity 9300+ SoC, a 6.31" 120Hz LTPO AMOLED display, three 50MP cameras, an IP68/69 rating, and a 6,500 mAh battery. The vivo X Fold5, on the other hand, comes with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, three 50MP cameras, an IP58/59 rating, and a 6,000 mAh battery. The smartphone packs two displays - an 8.03" foldable display and a 6.53" cover screen. Needless to say, the Indian models of the vivo X200 FE and vivo X Fold5 will run Android 15-based Funtouch OS 15 out of the box. Redmi K80 Ultra and Redmi K Pad unveiled
It's a big day for Xiaomi and Redmi as the two brands announced a plethora of devices at their launch event in China. The Redmi K80 Ultra is the latest flagship killer offering in the series, armed with a Dimensity 9400+ chipset and a massive 7,410mAh battery with 100W charging. It is joined by the Redmi K Pad – a compact tablet entry with an 8.8-inch IPS LCD, Dimensity 9400+ chipset and a 7,500mAh battery. Redmi K80 Ultra Redmi K80 Ultra slots in between the Redmi K80 and the K80 Pro as a more gaming-oriented device. It's built around a 6.83-inch OLED screen with 1280p+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is rated at 3,200 nits peak brightness and offers an embedded ultrasonic fingerprint scanner and a 20MP front-facing camera. Redmi K80 Ultra opts for MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ which is configurable with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. The device is IP68 water and dust resistant and boots Xiaomi HyperOS 2 based on Android 15. The back houses a 50MP main cam armed with a 1/1.55" OV Light Fusion 800 sensor which is paired with 8MP ultrawide lens (OV08F). Redmi also overhauled the speaker setup on the K80 Ultra with its latest dual speaker setup, boasting massive AAC 1115 coaxial stereo speakers and an X-axis linear vibration motor. It's housed inside a 6.46mm thick metal unibody and weighs 336 grams. Like the Redmi K80 Ultra, Redmi K Pad features MediaTek's Dimensity 9400+ chipset and is configurable with up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. You get an 8MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear shooter. The Redmi K series is gaming-focused, so K Pad gets a 12,050mm² vapor chamber to help keep thermals in check during gaming sessions. Redmi K Pad features dual USB-C ports and a 7,500 mAh battery The other interesting bit is that you get two USB-C ports, with one located on the bottom and a second port on the side, so you can game while you charge. Speaking of the battery, it comes in at 7,500mAh and supports 67W wired charging. Redmi K Pad comes in Deep Black, Spruce Green, and Smoky Purple.
